To Run Incites the Chase

I thought the silence sat heavy,
but only I was carrying the load,
and so only I felt the crushing weight,
of my silence.

I've found that I'm incredible at
running from my problems,
while inciting them to chase me.
But you did a real good job,
of causing them.

Just as you weigh my value,
to another of my blood,
I raise questions of your own,
against so many others,
who ought to be in my life,
in your place. Oh,

how could I ever make you understand?
When my tongue dries up,
moment your hands tighten on the steering wheel.
I'm not one to make my mind known,
and the cloth and wire I wrapped round my neck,
knows that twice as well.

my grief is not aesthetic,
my sleep is not coming,
my fever dream is your absence,
my hope is your damnation,
my pleasure is your absence.

your grief is my imprudence,
your sleep is your nature,
your fever dream is my humiliation,
your hope is my successes,
your pleasure is your mind becoming my own.

Premium Member The New Year

The spent year sinks in the captivating cauldron of history,
traces a fading furrow on traversed time by the setting sun,
etched on the realm of remote remembrance weary,
the new year comes blooming buds of promise one by one.

Janus opens routinely for me the door to the new beginning,
after my time crosses the corridor of the worn-out year,
I’ll weave unseen dreams in the tapestry of future ensuing,
unsung songs I’ll sing for the seasons as they will appear.

Along the path God paves for me I’ll begin the new journey
with cornucopia of resolute resolutions to make me wise,
reach amused the edge of the time plateau I don’t see,
yearning to greet 2026 with a joyous sunrise in my skies.

Maybe I’ll make naive the old mistakes many more time,
but resolve to commit them the way they won’t repeat.
I’ll swathe life with some fun, make jokes of me in rhyme,
and laugh my heart out as seemingly senseless stupid feat.

I’ll express profuse gratitude to those close to me I’ll see,
even if they don’t take me as I am with imprudence inbred.
For my muse my pen will be re-filled with ink in glee,
I’ll keep on writing poems that may not disappear unread.

Premium Member Shepherds

The treasurer they called Judas,
In his folly and imprudence,
Sold his Master for silver’s stock;
The shepherd who betrayed the flock.

The fisherman they called Peter,
Tasked to build the Church and lead her,
To be her foundational rock;
The shepherd who cares for the flock.

The scholar widely known as Saul
Adopted the new name of Paul;
He saw the light on one long walk,
Repentant hunter of the flock.

Imprudence

Imprudence makes
People sometimes
Become reckless.

More Than Gold

I don't want it quick, fast, or in a hurry
I only want what's for me that's in divine time
Impatience and imprudence only lead to a spirit that's surly
I do relish my peace of mind

I'm lively walking in the light
Priceless is this precious gift I behold
I'm working and enduring the night
This gift is worth more than gold

The Police and Johns Memory

The police made John jog his memory
“Was the car actually a Camry?”
John delayed, then got free cigarette
Of a brand prized above his Lovette.
And he didn’t hear his voice drop “Yes...”
Before a second thought’s “More or less.”

“Heh! You’ve got my Benson ’n’ Hedges;
Quit building round your answers hedges?”

“Actually, Cop, an off-white Nissan
With blood stains that still give me concern”
“So, then it’d made you touch its Fender
For which, now, you need Good Defender”
“You’ve guessed I’m not A Real Offender”
“Also guessed, for now, The Offender”
“Means I should hate Law of Evidence”
“...Also, your Forgetful Imprudence”

“Hope this won’t be reaching the BBC?”
“Sorry, She minds what blokes hear and see!”.

Poem of Late Thirty's

After ten years a night like this,
when I will be in my late thirty's;
with a healed heart and maintained smile,
I will be laughing at my youth's flaws undefined.
I will be laughing for rushing after those 'emotionally absents',
I will be laughing for wasting months and years over my imprudence.
I will be laughing for dedicating them saucy love poems.
Maybe I will be reading them aloud but I will not be feeling the same.
Those breathless nights will be gone.
I no longer be keen to do constant adorn.
Those traitors shall be anxious to get back me,
but I shall not feel the same pace of glee.
I shall be celebrating my birthday without mourn.
Because till then I shall admit this that 'Winners Stands Alone.'

Undesires

I sit by the moon
and exhale all my zeal
of wanting you one more time
but the pain I don't want to feel
again and again over your imprudence
of not comprehending my love
and slaying my feelings while playing innocence.

The Master taught the ancients,
the brilliant art of making fire;
Losing the art in imprudence,
they also forgot the Master.

Beliefs, doctrines, rites, rituals,
Have, no doubt, elements holy;
Deeper than these peripherals,
- Is true Spirituality…

Signs, symbols, worships, and scriptures,
Have been indicators of - Truth;
Indicators are path-pavers,
Can path-pavers be: 'The Path?'

Lotus, swan, Vedas, garlands, and
Holy beads are simple symbols;
'Brahma' dwells in the farthest of far land,
Within inmost heart's citadels.

Every flower, every plant, tree,
Each bird, any animal be;
Every insect, every fly, bee,
Are all spirituality.

Spirit has no forms, shapes, structures,
And tangible anatomy;
It's in and around all creatures,
In symphony-like harmony.

It's that lets me alter, detach,
That tells me respect, tolerate;
Tells always blessings to dispatch,
And with God to cooperate...

It prompts me to face and accept,
To truly my duties perform;
To love, let go, wholly respect,
To always discern and transform...

Only Yesterday

There was a sun that shone on my shoulder
Her friendly rays sparkling
Our hands flirted, unashamedly
Drawing love hearts in the profound air
The grass on which our souls dined
Flowery,
Drinking the enriching dew
That spilled its wondrous magic
Upon our naked innocence

Only yesterday
I sat by the ocean shore
Watching you swim
Into the orgasmic oblivion
That was our imperfect sea
Of beautiful dreams

Only yesterday
I dined in the sail of your heart
Now a distant boat,
Fading away gently, yet painfully
Like a sinking ship with gold aboard

Your streets bloomed with colour
Whose vibrance my imprudence killed
Now my sorry eyes break into water
Sail, love, sail
We shall meet
On the other side of uncertainty
If the ocean tides us do not awash

Premium Member More Than Just Friends

In the doldrums of a hushed space,
Of a part of vacuous open to silence,
Undisturbed stares party to patience,
The essence shared natures reticence,
Lies a formidable barrier of hinderance,
Unseeable with a naked eyes abstinence,
Choose to remain adamant in forbearance,
At times happens between friends ignorance,
As we part our ways oblivious to circumstance,
That this started out to be an odd happenstance,
For it went so out of hand it led us to imprudence,
And sort of panned to us both losing our innocence.

Cheshire Cat Inc

They call me the Cheshire Cat, that's my name.
A creation straight out of Lewis Carroll's brain.

I live in a in land of wonder you see,
and store plenty of tricks up my sleeve.

I'm a feline that can grin from ear to ear.
I can also make parts of my body disappear.

I am in love with irony and all its complications.
I adore philosophy and erratic explanations.

Speaking in metaphors, that's my intricate specialty.
I'm not insane, I just live in a different reality.

A reality that fulfills my immortal amusement.
A world where I demonstrate my brash imprudence.

Wonderland's espionage is a good title for me,
eavesdropping on all there is, nestled in my tree.

SHHHHH! I see a young girl approaching, she is coming closer.
She looks alone and lost ......I wonder??

Curiosity can't kill this cat or make me fall
I am a bit mad, I dare say, but aren't we all.

Seven-Ten: An Uneasy Life Lived

Will liveliness find its way?
Can I see my friend again?
I ask such questions in search of answers,
but find nothing but afflicted heartbreak
when contradiction becomes aching past.
Forgiveness becomes a price
if woe becomes your regret.
I search for reasons to move on with ease,
search for amends from reparation found.
I must atone for the perplexed lost years.
I shan't seek unbearing pain
or things facing forlorn tears.
Stretched out before me is courage and joy.
I need repayment for wrongs committed,
wipe away my morose and disturbed fears.
I drown in depressed anguish,
intense grief and imprudence
can only cease when given one more chance.
I need to find peace of mind, but quittance
could squelch my agonized and intense soul.
My path's lapsed if it's traveled
too light with no warm regard.

Mastering the Language That Only the Poet Understands

Music makes one dance,
and the dancer expresses
the mood of its sound;
poetry makes one recite
verses that are lively or dark...
it's the state of the moment,
that voice trapped inside
longing to break free.

I lift the burden of heaviness
by letting out my breath
and give life to words
whether they sound soft or harsh,
impactful, shallow or profound...
I master the language that
only the poet understands.

Do I expect awards, handshakes
or lauds? None of these I meditate
to win the crown and scepter of the gods,
and undeserving of such glory or merit...
I let modesty outrun imprudence.

Whatever critics think of my work
as being excellent, or mediocre,
I pursue enlightenment in knowledge...
words and ideals that make wisdom grow.

My pen is more powerful when it does
something amazing and reveals
the purpose of its intent by mastering
the language that only the poet understands.
