my grandma's disremembered stories

grandma, the family storyteller
in old age would forget
so her stories changed with the retelling
but an essence of truth remained
her voice echoes in my heart

was each story semantic to grandma
new in ambiguity to her
with random memories merging

I am the storyteller now
looking into the calm reflective waters of time
seeking recollected memories that echo 

my words specular with reflected words
I am that girl at the kitchen table
listening to her musical voice impacting me
I wonder did she realize her life ending
did she want to give me her gift

I often escape into her fugue of melodic telling
her unexpected memory with all the beautiful failures

that perhaps only I who wished to be like her
who knew her stories told over years would grasp

In and Out

Rippling through reality,

Breath experiencing gravity.

IN and OUT of it's cavity,

Sweet flavors of your grace.

Savoring the taste,

Leaving nothing to waste.

inhaling,

Entering the space,

Stillness,

A Sacred Embrace.

As molecules play chase,

Since your inception.

Tracing it's direction,

Feeling it flowing in.

That loving Oxygen,

Bringing good Intentions.

Witness the Intervention,

Letting the LOVE enter in.

An expansion happening,

Two energies interacting.

New Chemicals reacting,

Impacting every Cell,

Connecting, and Directing,

Your perfect design.

Resign.

Realign.

Letting go,

Exhaling smooth and slow.

Release the pain,

Blow out the sorrow,

A new element ,

Released from the bellow.

Energy shared with all below,

Helping your environment Grow.

A Relationship I HOPE you know,

And the Importance of our Role,

A ripple of The Whole,

IN and OUT,

Since you first cried out.

Adrenaline Junket

The vague and the abstract turned into a contract,
adrenaline junkies, now joined in a dare.
With hands up, no screaming, they’d both go careening,
defying gravity at the State Fair.

What started as amity morphed to calamity
enough that the riders had panic attacks.
When they reached the summit, they started to plummet
just as a mutt ventured onto the tracks.

The new rollercoaster got hot as a toaster
as the conductor stomped hard on the brake.
With no time for acting, they heard the impacting
of metal on flesh as the mutt flew the lake.

To worsen the matter, gratuitous splatter
was added for gratis to this ruinous ride;
they grew more embittered once they had considered
those patches of hide from the cur that had died.

The horrors receded as they both conceded
while parting the last bits of gore with a comb.
They climbed in the pickup, and with no further hiccups
slumped up the hill slowly and headed for home.

If I be God

IF I BE GOD

                 I will;
Chop down the mountain
To a lovely beckoning 
In a time when they gasp
In a moment when they thirst
In the rays of light at stake

Wheel around the mountain, to cover
Check the clock of time, to slow
Make the green smile forever
Let them know that their God lives
In the heart of the ocean to roar 
In the heart of the forest so teeming

If I be God
Which I'm not
If I be God 
Which I'll love

I'll create a vacuum 
Let it slow down wheel of time
Let it feel voidness from ages
Make life impacting, so great!
Remove the bad ones at will
Engrave the good ones to soil

Wheel of time to control 
Wheel of moment and days
Wheel to roll o'er the stones
Wheel changes, by the heart of God
Those around the wheel at His mercy
Time to be born, time to die

If I have the wheel of time
To control the earth at will
Let violence be gone, no reel!
Peace be still! God has spoken
The mind of God; in the heart of men
Playing God isn't my lot, let God speak

He has only just begun

Schumann’s resonance rising
Magnetism impacting gravity
Pores of space begin dilating
Admitting within ethereal light
Altering reality as we know it 
Incomprehensible to our mind

Outgrowing cocoon of the ego
Pristine soul spreads its wings
Resting mind, shifting to heart
Poised in time stretched calm
Wherein one with the universe 
The drop becomes the ocean

Omnipresent in the vast void
Inseparable from the all that is
The individuated atom of God
Breathes in peace, exudes love
Aura emanating elixir of bliss
As boons of grace so received

Unending is ascent of our soul
Touch of God makes us whole

POET TO POET ROUNDTABLE

Words straight out thought
Poets who you don’t know
As a Poet, we want the reader to know it
Alpha letter by Alpha letter fit
We are human just like anybody else
We share our feelings as emotions
It’s like riding a boat feeling the waves of an ocean
Feeling the moment with an immediate write
The horizon and seeing our own distance impacting the words
We explore and share our experiences
The journey’s we faced
A Novelist and Poet no one can compare
It’s all about words and being heard
Heart of Gold and our minds being bold
It’s our stories told
Writing on our own frontline
As a Poet, I hope you appreciate our movement
The Need, Desire and Articulate
We wouldn’t be Poets without the encouragement from others
I think back on this motto, “NOTHING TO DO BUT DO IT”
The above motto is an excellent one of fulfillment
My own motto, “PURSUE EVER AFTER”
We are Authors of our own spoken words
It says a lot having no plot
Poet inspiration
Having no expiration
Poet Write
Nice and smooth
Everything to prove
Enable always able

3rd Eye

Has the church lied
Does evil always lurk by
Eventually will such scourge die?

It's all been confirmed by
The third eye
Still on Earth I
Learned why
It's worth a try

Predators always impacting the herd size
A turn of the tide
As birds fly
Above the surf line
Near a restaurant known for stir-fry

We can't reverse time
Flames burned high
No longer cursed by
A disturbed mind

The other 2 portions truth or mystery, now you've heard right
Difficult to say if such a cycle works fine

You'll get nowhere if you're in the same place since last week
Playing with fire, it's dangerous like a gas leak
Does no good to put it all in the back seat
Crumbs and scraps left out that rats eat
Can't solve it all with a fact sheet
Life is one thing you can't cheat
The void black and bleak

Haiku

A winter with rain,
Impacting the whole environment…
Except the fish.

With no eyes, 
	we see.
With no ears,
	we hear.
In patience, we wait.
Our hope;
	A heart’s joy.

In the darkness,
	finding light.
In the stillness,
	a caring touch.
A voice of truth
	In quietness.

Being in the midst-
	Unfolding, unknown,
“Perceived”.

Impacting the whole,
	a continual change for good.

Be ye Faithful - “To”.
Consistent in your doings and sayings,
	A balance of flow…

Solastalgia

High blue sky with a gusty west wind 
with a mix of hazy grey-white clouds underneath,
smoke from fires out West, 
more than half a continent away.

Unusual weather for this time of year but
but the unusual is usual these days
just in different ways.

solastalgia is the distress produced by environmental change impacting on people  directly connected to their home environment.

Zinnia Vibes

“A flower of strange beauty, growing in a desolate spot, and blossoming in the wind.”
                         — Nathaniel Hawthorne

Blooming zinnias, swaying in the breeze, 
          Elegance attracting
      cute little hummingbirds with ease, 
                    Hues impacting;

Lemon yellow butterflies flit around, 
          Collecting sweet nectar, 
      Zinnias stand tall in the ground, 
                    Sole protector;

Hearts flutter at the sight of these flowers, 
          Cheerfully spread good vibes, 
      Small, yet potent, they have powers
                    no tongue describes.

Charity

Your intentions are meant for goodwill
Your heart is as white as snow
Seeking to identify and bail out
For selflessness is your part
And opportunism is your sworn enemy
Like rain droplets
You come in plenty
Secrecy is not your portion 
Laying bare your desires is your game
Change is your other name
Since, impacting and changing lives is your goal
A purposeful road you careful lay
Indestructible by any weight 
But tramples on any form of obstruction
Seeking to limit your potential
Sieving your targets from the masses
Like chaff being separated from the grain by the wind
Out of the sea of humanity 
You avail those befitting your support
A ray of hope to the disadvantaged
You restore their will for survival
Reviving in them the spirit to fight on
Throwing in the towel is discouraged
Are you heavenly sent?
You give everything freely
Demanding nothing in return
You are our love
For you have created a space for yourself in our heart
Igniting a flame deep within our souls
Since we can hear shouts of your name
A beauty we wish to have known early
Forever, your memories will be kept alive
For your deeds are outstanding!

A Time To Be Thankful

Thanksgiving is a time of year 
To give thanks to those both far and near. 
Be it family, friends, husband, or wife
Or someone else who impacts your life. 

Impacting life could be good or bad
Like a deadbeat mom or dad. 
Impactful lives help us grow 
And at times may even make us glow. 

Glowing from a glimmer of hope
In an effort to help us grow and cope. 
Help us grow by knowing what we desire 
Before that glimmer begins to expire. 

When that desire begins to dim
A person’s heart could resent her or him. 
The resentment could be from the “what-if’s”
Although others look at you as stuck up and stiff. 

So, as you sit together with others
Be kind and thankful to your sisters and brothers. 
Sisters and brothers need not be related
For in God’s eyes, we are all equally created.

Beauty Descending

a blue pansy night
indigo sundown garden
impacting colors

rubies in the sky
and gems where I am walking
dramatic nature

rhododendron drones
honeybees are yet in blooms
at the day's downfall

Life Is But a Dream

Events present themselves for redressal,
in as merely playing out as ordained,
impacting ego in body vessel,
which for now, is by fears and desires stained,
until love divine by soul is ingrained.
All that is, is a splash in the ocean,
so why for then, this needless commotion, 
going through this here lucid dream sequence?
Partaking of soma nectar potion,
obviates need for soul to pay penance.
