You can bleed me blind,
execute my eyes,
victimize my vision,
immolate my imagery,
nullify my name,
suppress me into silence,
slaughter my soul,
execute my ego,
slay my spirit,
veil my verses,
poison my prose,
annihilate my alliterations,
ravage my rhymes,
waste my words,
vaporize my vocabulary,
halt my heartbeats,
but you will never
pause my poetry

the silence of this tasteless Thursday exceeds normal...
if I had the clairvoyance of the optimists I would find pleasure in it,
would feel the peace that hides in the absence of noise,
would pause the carbonic sobbing of an inflamed heart,
I would make him ready to withstand the blows of tomorrow.
but far from it, I think I am aligned with a painful realism,
something that doesn't ignore that thorns don't turn into roses,
someone who goes against expectations
and prefers to immolate himself in the fire of true passions
than to triumph in the festival of velvety lies.

I walk in the door,
my dog is there to greet me,
wagging his tail furiously
whilst sniffing around my shopping bags
He has that suspicious, perplexed
look on his face ,
one I’ve seen so many times before
I know what he’s thinking:
how the hell do I regularly come home
with a fully cooked chicken in a bag,
Yet he cannot find so much as a stale roadkill
when I bring him for a walk?
I look back at him, incredulous too…
do you really think chickens
just immolate themselves,
then jump cooked
nice and juicy into a bag
for me to pick up along the street?
He’s still anxious and perplexed
as I dole out his share
Imperceptibly, our curiosity
and suspicion of each other evaporate,
as we polish off this beautiful creature
Soon I’m licking my fingers,
and the real miracle happens
when I say,
“Hey Siri! Put the TV on channel 8,”
and on comes the sports news
The dog too is thoroughly engrossed,
licking his — erm — himself.

"love pyres"
after the war
romance became
compulsory
not desultory
twin flames
lit each other
up
love pyres
ashes
falling
Psyche rising
immaculate
immolate
in the aftermath
falling,
silence
sings
lit within
kissed by Eros

"Ours is essentially a tragic age,
so we refuse to take it tragically.
The cataclysm has happened,
we are among the ruins,
we start to build up
new little habitats,
to have new little hopes.
It is rather hard work:
there is now no smooth road into the future:
but we go round, or scramble over the obstacles.
We’ve got to live,
no matter how many skies have fallen."
("Lady Chatterley's Lover", D.H. Lawrence)

the scapular of your anguish
wounds the insolent chest of your enlightenment with blood
a world in disenchantment cries its drunken hymns
but only jackals lick the nectar of these pains
because the night drives away the naive and innocent
and it is with the irreverence of the lost that we cry out loud
trying to defile every throne that rises against us
the time will come when we will immolate the new messiah in fire
placating the wrath of the raging oceans and their deities
the insurgent skies and their merciless stains
we'll bring back a forgotten golden age
and then we'll set all the new traps
to drain for the last time the voracity
of every idol that is eternalized
when we stagger weak across the earth
and we allow them to enslave us.

we don't know why we wake up this way,
feeling that something is wrong,
feeling late,
as if it had already passed the time
to commit our crimes
and it was too late to go to the balcony
to dry the blood on our hands in the sunlight.
when will we be able to sacrifice the pure,
immolate the naive
that disgust us by their innocence?
us maniacs,
raving naked around our apartments.
condominium sociopaths,
blustering and slipping in slippers
through these urban labyrinths where we kill dreams,
armed with the infamy of styleless criminals,
using ridiculous blows from rheumatic assassins.

Black Love
Black Love is a very darkest hue,
owing to
The absence of iniquitous
or
The complete absorption of throbbing
Black Love is the core within oneself,
The marrow of the hearts and as much as brawn to parade
All agonies laid and vaunted ebullience abundantly
Black Love is worshiping the pyramids of immolate the triumph of greed
And bestows temperance,
adorned in the walls of life
And balancing bits and pieces of sweet and sugar
Black Love is the mother that hold
prayers for deliverance
Much beloving and nurturing all her cubs
O' she lullabied us, she fed us
And her milk is philtres for lives
Black Love is a spoiled, wilful child
He whimpered in his nightmares and
All his vehemence bloomed in her womb
Shadowed in fortified and loved but
Remained a spoiled, wilful child
Black Love is a Lover
Soul yearn
Feet yonder
A glimpse of him
Maybe a little love...

Please let my essence fumigate
And may my passion fascinate
Under this stone I liberate
Of hopes and dreams to integrate.
My song, my tears, they consecrate
A curse to all that denigrate
My oath tells truth to explicate
For unknown evils procreate.
To God, myself, I immolate
As there’s no ways to mitigate
This hole, I lie, you decorate
My spirit hopes to incarnate.

There are few foods in this world that I hate
But there is one gnarly and nasty invertebrate
Against which I most assiduously discriminate
And I absolutely can not in any way tolerate
If forced to eat it I would surely asphyxiate
If compelled to consume, I would first self-immolate
Let me be clear for I don't want to obfuscate
If told to ingest it I would violently retaliate
The oyster is something that won't grace my plate
That bilious bivalve should be banished as bait
That odious oyster is fetid incarnate
I can honestly say it's the worst thing I've ate

We no longer immolate babes on Moloch’s hideous altar.
May Heaven be thanked.
We no longer burn heretics at the stake.
May Heaven be praised
We no longer stone men and women for committing adultery.
Thank Heavens for that!
We no longer subject defendants to trial by ordeal.
We no longer engage in witch hunts.
We no longer hang men for stealing sheep
We no longer make children work in coal mines.
We no longer keep slaves.
For all these things may the Heavens be thanked.
Thus many forms of cruelty and oppression have been abolished, and yet
Today’s evils, the real whoppers, are hermetically concealed behind white walls and bland, sincere faces.
To what strange deity, utility, necessity, security are we prepared to immolate not only ourselves, noble suicides, but our children, our babes, our future.
Whom would we then have to thank?

Amber was ambivalent
to invite Aaron to her birthday party
His boisterous laughter, luscious dress,
arcane, and above-average flamboyant behavior
would have everyone ignoring him with immolate stares
“Wow! He's weird!”
Bittersweet tactile memories I grew up with
He’s the quintessence of a friend,
Very quiescent at times,
but always has been my intercessor in times of need
or self- immolation for me
He’s perfect, reliable person in my life, my best friend

Their malnurished soiled child, setting aside time's stream
Somber the baby's eyes; waiting for a dream ? Seasons come
Years going by his pale rider passing everyday upon the otherside
Black and white there are no dimensions just, mutilating life madrigal
It's anguished notes draped her caskets immolate, reticent wails touching
Truth's monolithic bier this requiem ever tolling such bells innate's, maltese cross....
Creation's creature as a newborn in awe; intrigued by love's infant while together they walk.

You the animated pyre
forging a lustful fire
I flee from the darkness
that freezes my life
embracing this moment of death desire...
I am endlessly drawn
to you like a moth to a flame
you the object of my spiraling flight
your bright sun pulls me closer
I burn to speak your name...
Adrift in small sea of light
see dark path to your remains
this funereal night sum of all fears
kindles as you ship like unfurl your mane
flickering flaring as I draw near...
Mesmerized by such blazing beauty
in path of sacrifice I am caught
powerless to resist calescent sexuality
I immolate in the very fire that is sought
burning in your flame with futile delight...
Mi amor the beacon to my demise
with doom the most certain end
gliding towards your banshee cries
my spirit will never turn craven
intoxicated with love into your flame I descend...

In your domain
walking with men of straw
to immolate myself.
If power was sacred
why you did not stop
the reversing of gender role ?
Oh, there was water on Mars
streaking like the tears
on your face.
The apes were coming.
There was elation and suspicion.
The vortex of existence needs surgery.
Unlikeness calls for
introspection. I am asking
god to pray for me.
