Humbly I Bow

A star shown above his birth for two years;
A star that only those of faith could see.
He left His royal court and majesty
In humble exchange for a trough and tears.

Because of my sin I could not see Him,
Even though His star shown brightly around.
Then His holy hand reached out and touched me
And pulled me back from the abyss’s rim.

I see His radiance and glory now
Beside the lowly feed trough where He lies.
During this very season of seasons
Before His majesty I humbly bow.

Premium Member I Humbly Share How I've Written So Many Poems

   A few relatives asked me
how I write so many poems
    Given my surfeit of humility
       I decided to tell ‘em

    I start with a word
       sometimes a phrase
    Then something happens
       I go into a daze

Whenever I come to, I’m no longer myself
Seems that my poems ~ just write themselves

Humbly I Pray

Tonight through the darkness,
I wander and crawl

The faces seem ghoulish,
my past to recall

Unsure of direction,
I listen for sounds

To possibly guide me,
as fire abounds

I look to my left,
as hooves thunder past

I look to my right,
and Beelzebub laughs

All colors have gone,
just the fieriest red

I live out my fear,
I live out my dread

One hope then to muster,
that faith remains true

And guides me inclement,
past demons anew

Despair almost total,
 regret full in charge

I squint through the smoke,
there’s new light from afar

I plod on my knees,
and it grows brighter still

As the temperature drops,
and the moment is chilled

Once free of damnation,
my life starts again

With sacred commitment,
forgiven of sin

My tomorrows in passing,
I live for today

Belief my salvation
—as humbly I pray

What was it that you showed me,
                               Within my heart and soul?
                                 Creator, and redeemer,
What is to be my goal?

                                  He hath shewed thee,
                                  O man, what is good;
                                    and what the Lord
                                    requires of thee,
                                     but to do justly,
                                   and to love mercy,
                                  and to walk humbly
                                      with thy God

Premium Member I Humbly Beg

I had a thought...
From whence it came
'Tis all but mystery.
But I nurtured it
As best I could
To practicality.

I humbly beg
Forgiveness and I
Mean no disrespect.
But your objection
Seems misguided as
You haven't heard it yet.

Delay your anger and
Protestations before I'm
Sentenced to the flame
And trust the world
Will keep spinning and
The Sun will rise again.

Should my words cause
Some discomfort and leave
You mentally askew.
Remember... just because a
Thought was had does not
Always make it true.

So forgive this brief
Intrusion but I'll say
This before I go.
It's just a thought that
Peaked my interest and I
Wanted you to know.

Dear Lord

I come knocking at your unlocked door
bend my knees, humbly kneel on your floor
mercy for time spent on earth I ask
for the sins and still unfinished task.

You have blessed me with nature's beauty,
youth, family , and blissful duty
and I wouldn't change any Your blessings
just wish I would had heed your callings.

We have "civilized" ourselves in a hurry, so we hurry and feel busy, VIPs:

Premium Member Act Justly Love Mercy Walk Humbly

Why not keep trying to act justly?
By not coveting your neighbor's spouse,
Nor anyone and anything else.
Becoming defenders of liberty,
justice and freedom. Instead of
Perpetrators of oppression. "Let
There be peace on earth."

Why not keep trying to love mercy?
By being merciful instead of harsh
To your neighbor?
Acts of mercy and kindness
Would rapidly spread
Throughout the entire world.
'What a wonderful world it would be!"

Why not keep trying to walk humbly?
By not mistreating your neighbor
And remembering it is the meek,
Not the proud nor the vain.
Which shall inherit the world
Someday. May that day come soon.
"Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!"

Humbly Dedicated To You

For I am your faithful servant;
       your enslaved lover without end.

Held captive without fear and led
to realms of nothing and everything-
                       FOR YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING.

Laughter is heard when bread is
broken and comfort is given when
tears are shed.
Noble are you when we touch and
caress-
For I am your submissive Queen;
your trustworthy wife steadfast
and firm in my loyalty for you-
AND SWEETHEART, THERE’S NO OTHER YOU.

Humbly I’m dedicated to you...
unknowingly, you’re a slave to me too.

Premium Member Following God Humbly

By the grace of God, we can follow* Him humbly
As His privileged children by virtue of adoption
Duly ransomed with His mercy’s offered redemption
And called to present ourselves to Him honourably.

With God as our Driver, we are led by His wisdom
Having been illumined from sins’ obscurity
Sanctified from iniquities for regenerated life’s beauty
Enabled to advance His heavenly kingdom.

Led by the Lord toward faith-propelled service-might
We are moved to fulfill function He has assigned
While brightened to shine as biblically designed
With His truth as guide along His love’s light.

Marching by the Supreme Master’s command
We tread stewardship road of faithfulness
Performing by His bestowed skillfulness
Obeying Him, trusting His blessed demand.

*Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Humbly Bound Together

•Humbly Bound Together•

Sitting calm and still, the atmospheres vibrant and warming. I'm not alone, when just the thought of you is so alarming. We're so close, yet we go the farthest, a true desire granted. A guarantee, not a promise, a bed of blood red roses and lush white chocolates. I'm Covered in you, the truth, for this I am honest, my entire body moves when we touch, our kisses are monogamous, bathing in our lust as our love conquers all of it, falling quick! The bright side, the dark side, if it's you I want all of it. Talk to God, So in you I am confident. Love me hard no matter what the problem is, I've been tough so far, who knows if I'll fall again? Play me like Mozart
Keep me in your heart and together we'll be solid.
