Premium MemberHave I Gotten Over It--My Spokenword-

 I was stained soiled and broken
 Out of my mouth came evil miss-spoking's
Perpetual vomiting of obscenities
 Spewing out of me

Have I gotten over it
 a light switched
On from the Dark Dawn light now
 I'm seeing in a new mindset in God
I am over it

 And a precious previous past life present
 No reciprocated love from God's precious vessels
The devil had me thinking past tense I was an unwanted man saw the true And truth I was a righteous man

Seek Him first
Seek Him First
Seek Him first God

And all of those things promise to me to you
Are now ever true always, already done
Already granted that thing in mind in your heart
Those the Beautiful Things already made done
It's already mine already yours

Those the battles won O' how I got over
Have I gotten over it
 A light switched on from the Dark Dawn light now
 I'm seeing in a new mindset
In God I am over it my Father asking me

Have I gotten over it yes!
 Father I am more than enough
My sins shames and doubts
Streaming nothing but positive thoughts
In a new mindset I got over it

Shouldnt Have Gotten

We shouldn’t have gotten a shed
For I’m sure you can guess where it’s led -
Saving things we don’t need;
With it gone, guaranteed,
We’d throw things in the garbage instead.

Now the mice have a place they can hide
When it’s freezing or raining outside.
They leave droppings behind
Which, of course, I will find
And I can’t seem to take it in stride.

I should simply just clean the shed out
For there isn’t the tiniest doubt
That the things I have saved
Make me look quite depraved,
Which confirms what this poem is about.

*PoetrySoup would not let me include the apostrophe
in the word Shouldn’t!

Rotten Games and Gotten Strange

12/27/21

Did poorly or was doing just fine
The outcome was negative or had a plus sign
Always not just sometimes
Being one of a kind
Under the moonlight and sunshine
When it took a turn for the worse or was sublime

No longer getting brushed aside
Seeking what it is that I must find
On the frontlines

Can't force it
Or forfeit
Held true or was horse

Bought it or couldn't afford it
Crystal clear or distorted
Unavoidable or able to be thwarted

Saw it coming from the crows nest
Meanwhile, most think they know best
As they struggle to clean up their own mess
Very quick to protest
In their ways they are so set

For the greater good or due to greed it was commercialized
All of this, I could not internalize
Something still stirs inside
It's tragic that humans and animals got burned alive

Better be something you're sure about
Or it'll have an unsuccessful turnout
Close and far from any birdhouse

So many rotten games
It has gotten strange
All about the profit gains
Not any pocket change

Premium MemberWhere Had He Gotten a Key

her daintiness well hidden
Armora slid out of bed
fully sheathed in full armour
ready to fight anything that came along today
A handsomely muscled knave arrived with breakfast.
She let him live.
Her ex-husband popped in.
Where had he gotten a key?
She picked up her sword.

D4-What I'Ve Gotten Myself Into, and Out Of

Inside friends but more
Everyone knows I’m beyond
A friend or tinder whore
Hitting spots you love and cuddling up
We pretend that it’s just touch
Time spent isn’t much; strange to think.
Listening to Frank Ocean
Told me not to show emotion
We’ve been doing this for months
It’s beyond the sex
But you do it best
Situation is a mess
Even so I’m truly vexed.

I look up to you (literally)
I volunteer I want you
To show me what to do
Won’t work for free
Did that as a teen
But where have you been
My whole life
Let me down twice
Third times the charm
I’ve learned it’s beyond
The sex and the second time
We’ll do it right this time
You brought me back
To rub your back
And gave me back that feeling
I would spend
The rest of my days exploring you.

I see you in everything.
Real life, in my dreams.
Am I exploring life for you?
Are you my muse?
Is that a problem?
I’m going to make more cookies.
You don’t know that.
Didn’t ask.
Want to share?
I know you like them.
Those are facts.
No emotion there.

Best Advice I'Ve Ever Gotten

You can reject human nature,
spend your whole life being mad,
or you can just accept it,
do the best with what you have.

GOTTEN LIGHT---

I got a light, Jesus is the light;
And it’s bright, Jesus is the light;
Why do you run?
Open raise your arms;
Open your eyes wide;
Let the light of the Son;
Permeate your being;
Let it shine, shine, shine---
Allow Him to dwell within
The Son shines on in;
His Father spirit persuaded me;
To realize Light must shine
For just a speck of light permeates darkness;
Explodes
When the light comes, instead of you going;
Let the darkness run;
Open up your heart;
Allow the dark to leave;
Seek the light;
The sun comes, stand firm be still seek the light
For this is right a gotten light
Be that light

The Moon Might Have Gotten a Cold

The moon wears a mantle made of a rain cloud
This is the reason that he’s soaking wet
The moon might have gotten a bad cold
His pale face looks like paper under dim light

Please take off your mantle of rain cloud
To brighten my nostalgic dream that is fading out
To light up my feet standing on the snowy ground
With joy from the profound truth I’d like to taste

How To Have Gotten

How To Have Gotten

Many answers exist how to get over a hump,
That are sung to the tune of Throw Out Trump;
At odds always,
Nights and days;
In the road, he sure has been one big bump.

Ill-Gotten Gains

Ill -gotten Gains
False premise
Path falsely taken
Road stolen by feet
Not meant to roam
The road ahead
Came to bit in the ass
Plans obtained by false
Appearances of many years
Of falsehoods portrayed
An I'll fated attempt at
Trying to impress another
Who never truly gave a ****

Haven'T Gotten Over You

Peeking through my corner bedroom window

playing hide and seek

 the ocean's breath pushes through

the semitransparent white curtains

allowing the sun to shine and smile

upon my half-opened squinted eye.

I close my eyes and try to dream

dream of that night

dream of you and me

that star filled summer sky

laying on a blanket overlooking the sea

that glimmer as I gazed into your eyes

I remember your killer little smile

as we talked of the future

 I blushed when you touched my chest

oh how fast my heart did beat

after only one sip of wine

 I knew you were going to be mine

and I was going to be all yours

It seems just like yesterday

enjoying a perfect moonlight kiss

you wrapped in my arms

how could one ever forget

now twenty years or so have passed

and I still haven't gotten over you yet

Although I'Ve Gotten a Bit Wiser

Although I've Gotten a Bit Wiser

There is of course the ruin of the old,
when the dead pass through them
like dreams or shadows, darkly
and without purpose-

drinking wine and prune juice they
forget the dead in a hideous chair
outside the GS supermarket.

How do I forget the dead?

How do I forget myself?

... and then, as if by magic,
reason prevails...

although, I've gotten a Budweiser.

Premium MemberPeter Has Gotten a New Job

Peter has gotten a new job
as a bookstore clerk from one to ten
down by the river
in a sunny little house.
I've come to visit and I'm thumbing through
a book of poems
by Robinson Jeffers' brother.
Incoherent but
more interesting than this.

Out of the river rises a bum of a blob
dripping with water and begging a yen.
While he shivers
I call him a louse
and say This isn't Nippon, you!
So off he roams
probably back to his mother.
He was a nut
because he wasn't a fish.

Gotten the Blame

Gotten the Blame

To be married was a bright bride and groom
Whose service would surely seal their doom
After some beautiful flowers would bloom
Right in a cemetery in front of a tomb.

They had many great times in the past
And always wanted their love long to last
But now flag was found flying at half-mast
Their lives yesterday would be the last.

Up high in heaven angels started to sing
While all there were enjoying everything
Yet, something they had forgotten to bring
A small single piece of a short string.

Was one she so sweetly wore around her neck
And after she did die in such a terrific wreck
After drinking satisfying beer made by Beck
While I wondered how hard a hen could peck.

We know when you give up will lose the game
And what to me happened was exactly the same
We had left behind all of our fortune and fame
Sure enough it was I who had gotten the blame.
