Premium Member Billy The Silly Cat

I had a lovely white cat called Billy.
On Christmas nights she did things so silly,
chewed red ribbons, climbed fir tree,
plucked the stars on dancing spree.
In festive times I miss her really.

Premium Member I am a balsam fir tree

Each of my limbs is meant for adorning
With beautiful lights and jolly decorations
Ribbons flow around me, never warning
This is the time when love touches in sensations
I still remember the joy of the squirrels and birds
When I lived in the forest, beside the oaks I love
For the ache in my heart, there are really no words
But I must sacrifice my quiet life for the One above
He is worth more than many of my green hands
I am only one of this Jesus’ many fans!

Premium Member Grief Never Leaves You

Grief never leaves you; memories keep loved ones close to your heart .
Quote by poet.

John and his young wife Maria had been apart for a year now,
but every week he'd drive across town just to speak with her.
On the passenger seat was a white rose, Maria’s favourite flower.
Their garden was adorned with them; they resembled a carpet of snow,
and in a gentle breeze in summertime you could smell their sweet scent.
He passed the sandy beach and remembered the walks they used to do,
and the time when he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him.
She answered straight away, and tears of joy streamed down her face.
He'd always tear up when he remembered when she said "Yes, yes, yes".
That was three years ago but now it seemed like it was only yesterday.
They'd often talk of starting a family and were in the process of moving
to a bigger house, but sadly it wasn't to be, and John decided to stay.
He slowed down and drove down the fir tree lined avenue and parked up.
Then he got out and picking up the rose placed it carefully on her headstone.

Premium Member Christmas Song

Parody of Christmas song "Christmas time is here"

Christmas comes not to stray
on the snow-stacked pathway.
Comes all the way so punctual
with the blissful occasion to pray.

Family folks come to delight
from wherever they stay out of sight.
Our joy attains fulsome dimension,
reaches on festive days great height.

Christmas comes with glee,
ambles in snow piled up to knee.
Carol tune floats in the frozen air,
we dance round the ornate fir tree.

We sense inside the bubbles of fun
stroke our minds to joyfully run,
see the cheerful dust rise high.
Through the year we live the time gone,
see rapture return in the starry sky,
live again the time, the enjoyable one.

Premium Member Richard

This time of year I'm fondly
reminded of Richard the
old guys playing chess on
lakeshore drive watching the
cities shoreline freeze over
popcorn stands chestnuts
warms the hands on state
street the Irish river at a
stand still as the
center prepares for the
giant douglas fir tree hawks
perch on ledges as the lions
roars on the steps at the
du sable museum cornerstone
outreach paints the faces of
children parents help out in
the soup kitchens homeless
are actually singing Christmas
Carols as Richard wearing
a plaid scarf approaches
Merry Christmas
Chicago and to all a good night

Premium Member loving my trees

mother naked oak
oversees pine forest
squirrel grabs plump acorn

twisting shimmering leaves
cottonwood feels magical
silver faerie titters

pine cone plop
fir tree scratches sky
snow lands gently

Premium Member Fey Leaf Cloaks

Fey leaf cloaks are being created by faerie artisans in the midst of the veil
Maple tree is smiling, recognizing many of the offerings from his own limbs
Sycamore takes credit for a few, as does elm, but fir tree is silent
Thinking his offerings are not good enough, is something wrong with him?

It is not you, he is reassured by robin, you are my salvation in the winter.
The other trees offer me no coverage whatsoever, I count on you.
This cheers him up considerably, as he watches the witches’ movements.
They parade through the forest in their ethereal finery of tangerines and browns

Premium Member Sprawling tree

Fir tree branches drop
scent of fir mingles in air
outdoors comes alive

Premium Member I Am a Christmas Tree

*
I
am
Christmas
in a fir tree,
I was born wild,
in a boreal forest.
And I never imagined,
that I would end up lit up,
my branches holding decorations.
I was about strength and about courage,
a river flowed past me since I was a young.
Now, I am tranquility and serenity in my death,
a symbol of Christmas, twinkling in the living room.
My branches like a quiet violin crying, you can hear them falling
I gave
to life
all the
soul I
had in me, all these years, trembling in the wind, the sun, the rain
and snow. My reward for being majestic is my death ... how cruel!
I rested under the snow and placed on a cloak of pure white beauty,
then ... in the Spring my roots felt the black earth and I dug deeper.

Premium Member Meditation Place

The whiteness of the day surrounded the quiet man
Mountains gave him additional silence
He had never found a better place to meditate
Doubted he would ever find this kind of peace again

His guides gave him direction, and his soul understood
He felt more in sync with himself than he ever had
Thank you he told the mountains and the sky
The fir tree nodded as he turned to leave

Premium Member Oh, Christmas Tree

Nearly straight is straight enough, t'would seem!
They, every year 'til this one, disagreed.
Now a thin wire tendrils down,
Grabs the fir tree by the crown.
Dad won this time; he's hung it from a beam!

Premium Member Christmas Spirit

The year ends with the Christmas time,
freezing in the festive December air,
as the sun-soaked days fade out
at the glacial edge of the lasting night.

The celebration panorama draped with stellar dust
will glitter with the luster of grandeur,
as the star will descend in our enthralled hearts,
that will gleam bright in the divine light.

The melody of church bell and carol will hover
in the air from afar with heavenly flair,
herald once again His arrival amongst us
with the benign message of benevolence.

The portals of our minds will open to insight,
perceive the essence of His kindness,
filling up the cauldron of devotion,
we’ll empty for Him from our devout souls.

The sinned will be saved by His munificence,
shimmering in the star of the ornate fir tree,
that will glitter with the radiance of kinship,
inspiring us with the tenets of Christmas spirit.

Premium Member Adieu

Howl fir tree, the cedar is fallen

From this narrow lane of time,

from this uncertain strait and burdens

from these enclaves of wearying vanity fair,

from this time bound journeying among mortals,

from its temporal “Joys” and many sorrows,

from pain of fickle frame,

from the cheers and Jeers,

from time to time innumerable,

from mortality to immortality,

from Death to Life beyond.

this Jordan in-between,

here i mourn before my time,

but in Hope beyond the grave,

Through the everlasting covenant,

Left with your memories,

Rest Maami,

Adieu.

Dedicated to the priceless gift of providence.
The Best Mother to walk this earth.

The Time Between Seasons

The birds that had soared to the south
Catching salty raindrops in their mouth
Have flown back to where the flower grows
But I'll miss the snowflakes on my nose
As I watch them fly in rows and rows

Melt away the frost that glitters
On fir tree branches full of critters
The lake will change it's solid matter
Thawing to water in ice's shatter

Sly fox emerges from her den
Pups following and frolicking again
Squirrels fly from top to forest floor
Gather acorns two by two, four by four
A spring chore for a feast galore

Melt away the frost that glitters
On fir tree branches full of critters
The lake will change it's solid matter
Thawing to water in ice's shatter

Little bear wakes up from hibernation
Still hazy yawns from dream vacation
Stretching limbs after a winters sleep
Lying in the vines where ivy's creep
The sun's lost warmth now felt so deep
