Companionship

two birds nestled close
on the branch of a fir tree,
in the thick forest:
within shady depths, sacred
friendship thrives through all seasons

Ahhh!! I like this one. Bird friends like humans sometimes last. Some birds mate for life like some humans do. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

And thankful I am to have a friendship like that. We would sing in Girl Scouts…make new friends and keep the old…one is silver and the other gold.

The line, "one is silver and the other gold" comes from the Bible. Sara K

I can picture the birds enjoying the moment throughout your descriptions, as they are devoted to one another and us. Nature provides a wealth of information and lessons.

I often wonder about the relationship of certain animals, especially the birds in our neighbors avocado tree. There is one bird that seems to be scolding its mate at certain times. They put on a great show for us. I enjoyed your sweet poem Valsa New year blessings xxoo

I see the birds through your words cherishing each other's company. Much to gleam and learn from nature.

It is thought that birds are very loyal to each other. Awesome poem.

Yes, most of the birds are very loyal to each other. Once I had many love birds in a cage and two fiches in another. When we started staying away from home, we stopped rearing them.... still sad as I love birds. Thank you so much dear friend !

You are a very talented wordsmith! I see you don’t use soupmail, so I left you an edited and lengthier reply on my poem “giving thanks.” Blessings <3

Thanks a lot sweet friend ! I am not quite adept at technology. Slowly learning the advanced use of the site. Only recently I became a premium member. Being a busy housewife, I so far kept my soup mail inaccessible. Now with more contacts and familiarity I have opened it . Thanks for your time and goodness. I shall check ! Thanks once more.
