Oh, Christmas Tree

Nearly straight is straight enough, t'would seem! They, every year 'til this one, disagreed. Now a thin wire tendrils down, Grabs the fir tree by the crown. Dad won this time; he's hung it from a beam!

Me, too. My last one was a piece of driftwood at the beach (Summertime here) hung with foil candy wrappers and wild berries. Appreciate the visit! Elizabeth

Somehow I managed to miss this one, E. Mea culpa. I can't remember the last time I put up a tree, but I certainly appreciate it when others do.

Exactly, Weston! My first clue was the sight of him marching off to the barn like a victorious warrior! Thank yo for the comment. Elizabeth

I should use this tidbit of advise. Instead I have a leaning Christmas tree ??. Thank you so much for your comment, have a great New year

My worst one was when the bottom branches sprung out over night and toppled the whole thing over! Baubles and all. Thanks for the comment and I hope the new year is good to you! Elizabeth

I have this vision of everyone standing back and tilting their heads to view the tree. :) Here's hoping the beam was straight! Cheers - Gary

Ha, ha! That possibility hadn't occurred to me! I knew something was up, the way Dad strode out of the house back to the barn, a real victory march! Elizabeth

There are some that just cant stand something out of alignment. Securing it to a beam is a perfect idea. Terrific poem Elizabeth. Enjoyed it, Thanks
