Figment of Fabrication

Figure it factual,
the gingham dog and the calico cat
did NOT eat each other up like the Dutch clock told the story.

Because of loud snoring,
Old Dutch clock had stuffed cotton in his ears;
and the Chinese plate? sound asleep on a warm rock by the fire.

What really happened?
In the evening when the logs were first lit,
the moon

I want to but I can’t
I should but I won’t 
I had it but I lost it
Who knew it’d be gone in the blink of an eye
Just as fast as it stopped by

As if it was some figment of my imagination 

Gone like those before
Broken when they left
Shattered heart turned comotose

There was this lady from the coast,
About her sex life she would boast.
Her boyfriends would stray,
And girlfriends won’t play,
She’s secretly wed to a ghost.

Into the forest, I find myself... lost.

But then I catch a glimpse of something small... just my imagination.

I put my face in my hands and then I hear something... I'm alone.

I get up, start walking, no path in sight... lost.

Then I see something small peek from around a strange tree... Imagination.

I look closer and realize

Wandering around the earth saying you love me? What do you know of love..,
If I thought you knew anything of love I would've stayed..
yes, there beside you in that little house, in that little bed.  
Not just locked away inside that thick head.

We swore it was forever
our souls were bound,
through time in a minute
I could never have loved anyone
the way I loved you

it destroys me truly
and through time meant only a day

hearts and bodies facing life
I would have kissed you always
I shared

A life of lost dreams,

Breath of Earthly dew,

I color my words,

For they are pigments of my,

Imagination.

was he even there?
   i blinked their three faces.
     he says

HAS TWISTED
THIS MESS
THIS MADNESS
THIS MONSTROSITY
THIS BLACK HOLE
OF A THING
INTO ME
WHOSE BLEAK VISION
WAS MADE REALITY.

figment of imagination
that's all it was 
it was never real 
it was all an hallucination
brought on by a 
longing for companionship 
a desire for belonging 
a need to be part of 
a group to be accepted 
to not be a quote-un-quote loner
in the eye's of a society of 
felicity that we all live in

Imagined You

Did I just imagine you or are you just a dream
maybe just a figment of my brains insanity
do I dare to question whether you are really real?
maybe I should tell someone how lost I really feel

do you know how lonely it is inside my brain?
there is no one to share this deep embodied pain
