Unfolding

Unfolding.

When you kept getting up
After you've fallen
Endurance was already there

When you kept fighting
the anger in you
Peace was already there

When you understand
the why - way you behave
Knowing others is already there

When you finally let go
of low self esteem
Your true value is already there

When you did your best
to conquer your fears
Courage was already there.

When you complained
about life's injustices
Justice was already there

When you opened the door
to let isolation out
humaness was already there

When you finally got fedup
with your own misery
Happiness was already there

When you kept rejecting
your worst behaviour
Goodness was already there

When you gave up hatred
of your fellowman
God's image was already there

When you finally gave up
unrelenting guilt
A clean conscience was already there

When you felt lost
because Paradise was lost
Paradise found was already there.

 "God is not our butler, He is our master." Pastor Hagee
Some days I ask God for so much
I need this blessing or I need your help here
I say I need a vacation
Also, a little time for cheer

How many days do I think of others
Asking God to bless them
Asking God to heal the sick
Or hurting, or whatever they need today

Just because I am weak
And can't do much anymore
There is no need to be self-centered
All God's blessings clutch

I need to ask God to use me in some way
Help me think more of others and pray, pray, pray
There is war torn areas
Needing peace to descend

I want to be of service
Somehow, and care for my fellowman
Forgive me, God in your Son's name
For always thinking you are my slave

A poem in the making, hope to finish it soon.

If We Live To Bless Others

IF WE LIVE TO BLESS OTHERS
Have sympathy for another who's hurting,
Empathize with the way that they feel,
Be free with your kindness and comfort,
And share your heartfelt ideals.
Be generous with those who may need you,
Give love where pure love is gone.
Tenderness and patience are needed,
And often a comforting song.
Sometimes you may be downhearted,
Or feel like the world is so cruel,
But if you'll rise and help others
And follow the old "golden rule,"
Life will be better by serving
The needs of your poor fellowman.
For blessings will attend those who follow
Such a wonderful, God-given plan.
You see, we were made to serve others,
To find our happiness there,
And if we live to bless others
In time we'll have our full share.

Premium MemberA Plea To God

She lies quietly inside her pain
Another day stretched out before
Hospice has arrived to ease her journey home.
Her Father in Heaven is near,
All talking has ceased,
After all she can do, she is helpless and worn
to a simple breathless, "help me Lord?"

As her caregiver I offer a prayer of hope,
Knowing the Savior had heard her call
I prayed that an effectual door might open and
thru His grace a witness given, that she might know
she is a blessed child of God. I wrap her in a soft
blanket of white and hold her in my arms and whisper,
Be not afraid

Premium MemberMy Own Team Sport

I opened the book to tell my story
I sang my song to reveal the tune
I worked my way to top of the heap
I looked forward, then fell asleep
Because I failed to read the words
Because I was deaf to my own song
Because I stepped over my fellowman
Because I was so bored, I fell asleep
I was so wrapped up in my own device
I failed to heed some good advice
Because nothing was of more import
Because I played my own team sport

Sacrafice

Sacrifice
Hardships, however hard they try,
Will always be cruel.
Down, down, down into the darkness of the hardships,
Gently they go - the harsh, the barbarous, the inhumane.

How happy is the true atonement!
Are you upset by how veracious it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the atonement so accurate?

I saw the big unpleasant person of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the pain.
Are you upset by how prodigious it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the pain so galactic?

I saw the the yellow compunction of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the repentance.
Whip. whip, whip.

One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why isn't the fellowman more extraordinary?"
Down, down, down into the darkness of the fellowman,
Gently it goes - the characterless, the mundane, the commonplace.

I saw the eternal trait of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the humbleness.
Does the humbleness make you shiver?
does it?

~Comment Collectors~

Just forge ahead when things are
so dark!
Number of comments, do not a good poet
make into a lyrical lark.

Many comment just to be top on the Community
Board for heavens sake.
Thinking applause from big numbers must make
me important, big time! What a fake!

Read the comments, some as are empty as shells.
Some full of speciicity, I count these close to my
heart as well.

Some come by to correct you in front of others.
Please...... pass me by and go bother another.

Just compose good poetry as best as you can.
Reach new heights, forget looking for comments,
You came here to pen your best, for your fellowman!

Sitting By the Sea

I sit by the sea on my chair,
A fold away I’ve had for years
Now faded from my summers’ use
Each year the temperature got warm
As it is today, watching waves
Come crashing upon golden sands.

Sea gulls screech and scream, flying high
Up in a dark but deep blue sky
Where fluffy white clouds scoot on by
And I say “hi” to passersby
Who in turn greet me with their “hi”
And sitting here I ask me “why”?

It is so peaceful on this beach
Yet the whole world is so turmoiled
Engaged in wars, genocides and
All things that man just should not do
To all his fellowman each day…

A gull just swooped down low.

Understanding

UNDERSTANDING

‘Twas once,
That the wisdom of a knowledgeable man,
Who hieroglyphics scribed
On tablets stone,
Giving a new meaning
Of being able to walk,
With stone in shoe
That for another brother
Would give to hurt?
And the price to learn,
And the price being taught,
Which for easier understanding
Of another person
That when they walk
In another’s shoes,
Of what was once
Is now replaced
By the sandals constructed
By thoughtfulness
Replacing
Ignorance to another’s needs,
So that person’s progression
Into understanding,
Abruptly halted forth
When tripped up on flattened face
By forgotten untied lace,
And from the book of life’s lesson taught
For now they have
A new awareness,
A better understanding,
Of their fellowman
That when caught in a situation
Can be embarrassing to self worth.

If America Is To Survive

If America is to survive,
it must grow up and realize that its very
soul is very full, too full
of hate, racism, crime and disrespect for
its fellowman and its creator.
We all believe that police forces have
only decent officers and administrators,
but, no so and too many of those
administrators, keep looking the
other way while the evil and bad in their forces
commit illegal acts on citizens, especially
people of color.
Once a citizen has been injured
or killed by a police officer or vice a versa, the injury
lasts a lifetime, and the dead cannot
be returned.
Presidents, governors, judges and administrators…
Must all start looking at
crimes committed by police officers
and citizens as criminal acts and stop looking
the other way. Charge those who do such
things with criminal offences
and let the judges do their things without
wearing sun glasses at times.
If something is not changed very,
very soon…look out America.
America, America,
Now what’re you gonna do?

Premium MemberHer Mission Clear Her Life Full

She wore a sunbeam in her eyes.
Which was actually no big surprise.
Gentle angel whispers surrounded her.
Positivity she wore, yet demure.

Day was filled with thoughts of others.
Helped fellowman- sisters and brothers.
Her mission clear, her life was full.
Aiding others always her ultimate goal.

Engage - Enrage

Engage.

        Go back to basic
 conversation, calm and cool
     [No need for backchat]

               Enrage.

     Hurt heart hot with rage.
     [encapsulated deafness]
      Left without true peace.

A wise friend recently said to me: "Trying to reason with an enraged person, only stokes them up more. Engaging them in conversation, to try and calm them down, causes enragement." Hear what they have to say, they have a reason for being angry. There's "a time to be silent and a time to speak. " (This is a repost.)

Premium MemberI Love You As I Pray For You Always--

Empty hearts;
Broken faces;
Displaced smiles;
Feelings of ungratefulness;

Crowded minds;
Rushing times;
Points of uneasiness;
Hurting rhymes...

My Oh!!! My
Why?

Broken promises;
Misplaced harnesses;
How can I embrace my fellowman;
Where is his love;
Why he hate me so;
And what am I to do when he says NO!
I go to my heart,
and I love his heart;
Even tho, even tho he says go,
he says no;
I love him anyway,
cause Jesus says now, today;
For ever one needs someone;
For you don't in this world alone;
You don't live on this world alone;
I may can help you you may can help me;
I pray for you anyway, everyday,
you're not alone I pray for you every day;
For you don't live on this world alone;
I pray for you always....
I love you as I pray for you always.
