My Own Team Sport

I opened the book to tell my story I sang my song to reveal the tune I worked my way to top of the heap I looked forward, then fell asleep Because I failed to read the words Because I was deaf to my own song Because I stepped over my fellowman Because I was so bored, I fell asleep I was so wrapped up in my own device I failed to heed some good advice Because nothing was of more import Because I played my own team sport written October 1, 2021
