A Point To Ponder

To
belong
and be loved.
These are two things
the human psyche
needs in order to feel
happy and well adjusted.
When dealing with our fellowman
we should always try our very best
to season our words with love and kindness.

You You You

Never cease to touch your world
How you live keeps you
Knows you
Help your fellowman
How you give gives you
Hinders you or helps you
Never keep you in
How you be will know you
You are the life
Light in you shines you
You are the touch to one’s world
You you you

Covetousness

Longing to possess
belongings of fellowman.
Perfidious unseen want
enrobed in sweetness.
Treachery rooted deep down.
Stealing begins in the heart.

Her Mission Clear Her Life Full

She wore a sunbeam in her eyes.
Which was actually no big surprise.
Gentle angel whispers surrounded her.
Positivity she wore, yet demure.

Day was filled with thoughts of others.
Helped fellowman- sisters and brothers.
Her mission clear, her life was full.
Aiding others always her ultimate goal.

Huntington's Disease

Oh the horror of this terrible ill
Bringing down the ones we love
Destroying their brain and body
Changing them, ravishing them

One day after another
Destroying their brain
Causing insanity
Causing them to hate the ones who love

Why God
Is this in some plan
Is it to see
How we can treat our fellowman

Charity

Ravishing and Harmony
Life love and liberty all in charity
In charity lies happiness and bliss
Just for love of fellowman
A help worth more than a gold
Charity
Tactful pleasing folks
Pride and honour
Not bought with a dime
Much more than a medal won
The power to love and share
Gives happiness beyond compare

Responsibility

Callous is the man,
who has no shame,
a wonderer of addiction,
placing all the blame.
Any given hope,
for his fellowman,
critical his response,
destroyed by his hand.
A window is his life,
nothing ever hid,
denial takes over,
everything he ever did.
Hard to understand,
so many have tried,
but one thing for certain,
is where responsibility lies.

Last Stand

The raging waters will soon cover this mountain,
My last resting place,
No salvation crashing through the dust clouds
I scream aloud at our own stupidity
Ashamed at my fellowman
Warnings unheeded
Lessons ignored
No last Stand
The debt is finally settled
You who survive must make amends
If you dont do right by God
A price will be paid
And perhaps your children
Will one day write this same message.

Torn

Torn between logic and the heart
Not knowing which is the best part
Being used or being bled
Or totally something else instead

People with certain personality quirks
Use people with whatever works
Working it for their benefit and plans
Not considering their fellowman

How can I know if you are using me
Will your eyes reveal your stand
As you thump your nose as I land
On the ground of reality

My Own Team Sport

I opened the book to tell my story
I sang my song to reveal the tune
I worked my way to top of the heap
I looked forward, then fell asleep
Because I failed to read the words
Because I was deaf to my own song
Because I stepped over my fellowman
Because I was so bored, I fell asleep
I was so wrapped up in my own device
I failed to heed some good advice
Because nothing was of more import
Because I played my own team sport

A Journey of Souls

To touch another soul on this journey
To affirm the value of your fellowman
To walk in the shoes of a man that’s broken
Is to walk this earth with God

To wade through murky waters
To be at peace amidst the storm
To believe that you are truly free
Is to trust in the word of God

To love in spite of animosity
To fear no one, but to do wrong
To rise up and walk each time you fall
Is to be the apple of God’s eye

Make a Wish

The highest pinnacle my heart can measure
with words human lips struggle to form
the answer to the prayer that I treasure
that this world embattled in evil storm
could bow before the divine Maker, reformed.

Turn from our hatreds and wicked way,
true confession and worship gladly give,
humbly bow before the Lord and pray,
let go of strife, our fellowman forgive,
walk hand in hand and, then, truly live.
