A Plea To God

She lies quietly inside her pain Another day stretched out before Hospice has arrived to ease her journey home. Her Father in Heaven is near, All talking has ceased, After all she can do, she is helpless and worn to a simple breathless, "help me Lord?" As her caregiver I offer a prayer of hope, Knowing the Savior had heard her call I prayed that an effectual door might open and thru His grace a witness given, that she might know she is a blessed child of God. I wrap her in a soft blanket of white and hold her in my arms and whisper, Be not afraid
