Premium Member Singing Little Lolita's Praises

Little Lolita was a feminine sweet-tempered girl

frilly and lacy with a large forehead curl
heels she wore were nineteen inches too high

her hair is piled up, to reach stars in the sky

(chorus)
Lithe light Lolia showing her ilk

sashaying daily in lace, satin and silk

causing men to go incredibly dumbfounded and wild

pretending to be innocent like a six-year-old child

Little Lolita, as intelligent and bright as the stars

descended from a long line of Russian Czars

an urban beauty who was born in New York City

avid conversationalist whose gossip is exceedingly witty

(chorus)
Lithe light Lolia showing her ilk

sashaying daily in lace, satin and silk

causing men to go incredibly dumbfounded and wild

pretending to be innocent like a six-year-old child

We want the best for our heroine, she makes us smile

I sing her praises as I clean out my pig’s awful stile

Premium Member twelve

teenager in training
wanting his own way
exceedingly dramatic
lazy and sluggish during the day
vibrant at night, playing video games
excited about peers and friends

Premium Member Isle of the Dead

I know for certain that memory’s a virus
We’re susceptible to in varying degrees
Infecting some, randomly chosen, like us
Memory drifts in on a gentle breeze
I’m switched to the channels of subtle perception
It’s due to the memory my life carries on
I flick through most precious of my recollections
They’ve been given to me until I shall be gone
Then I’ll be removed to the isle of the dead
There I’ll meet you, thanks to our memories
Something will be missing, though it must be like that
After long separations and many calls missed
But I reckon, subconsciously we’ll reconcile
With the loss of those lovely details, for we managed
To save some of them in our favorite style
Aren’t we also the details that time couldn’t damage?
Remember we gazed upon the green hills
From your bedroom window with breathtaking view
In our case they’ve been grinding too fast, those fab mills
So we’re not that exceedingly small to come through
Many trials and hindrances, daily calamities
All those stormy Mondays and Sundays alone
Here we’re bound to wait now, among the tall cypresses
For the ferry to moor, to deliver us home.

Premium Member joyful woman tribute

joyful woman had as many problems as others, maybe more
but she did not allow them to get her down, looking for a poor-me-door
She knew how to dance, and she did it exceedingly well
shaking her problems loose, at every dip, twirl and swell

She looked toward a new horizon, expecting good to come her way
Enthusiastically encouraging revitalization and positivity every day
joyful woman had many problems, on which she chose not to dwell
staying away from others who were determined to stay in a private hell

Premium Member Buried Treasure - Mystic

they say …
you cant take it with you
but you took so many little jewels
when you left -
your smile
your pure, unqualified love
your creativity and expression
your engaging mind
your encouragement, your empathy
your extraordinary patience …
but what I miss the most is
your exceedingly unlimited kindness
and … our talks -
about anything and nothing
and everything …
there was ne’er a doubt my heart was yours
and yours, of course, was mine
the truly ironic thing is
that we conversed SO much -
for many hours on end
when not a single, solitary word …
was ever needed.
oh, how I miss you, Mom
like a clown …
misses tears.

Premium Member Lost

Occasionally, I arouse an unaccountable dislike
Even from those who love me
I don't give any reasons, none at all.
Maybe that's a reason.
But then why don't I dislike them?
I have no desire for perfection at all
It might seem pretentious, but it's true.
I accept everything as it comes. This insidious advice
I heard from the Doors when I was a kid. A variation on the theme of time
And an echo of the end. Everything ends, and not according to a timetable
For there's no timetable, though someone sees it
And knows when my train is coming
But will I attend in time, depends on a happy occasion.
The train will take me to the plane.
I’ll make a change, to get to you.
Otherwise, there’s no me.
Maybe its for the better
No one will be troubled to notice
Such a subtle matter, as someone's absence.
Seems that I lost the thread of
What I was talking about. Nevermind.
Just take me as I am
You know me better than I know myself
Now I feel like a scallop on a scree, who lost the shell
Rescue me under your shade
Look at me with your loving look
That I know so exceedingly well
Give us a chance, while we are here
Who knows for how long this time.

Premium Member Our natural state

I am naturally friendly, or so I’ve been told
But that feels like bragging, exceedingly bold
A bit embarrassing, I tell you no lie
To tell you the truth, I’m naturally shy

When meeting new people I tend to clam up
So I smile and I nod and sip from my cup
Don’t know how to act or know what to say
I most honestly wish it wasn’t this way

An abundance of confidence I obviously lack
But I quietly listen and try to keep track
Then I’m able to answer, if questions arise,
as long as I don’t have to look in their eyes

It’s hard accept when a compliment’s made
I blush and I mumble on hearing what’s said
Hoping and praying they don’t find me rude
While feeling self conscious it also feels good

I could always go on and tell you some more.
But I won’t, you know, for I don’t want to bore
Well, there you have it, now do you see?
That natural shyness comes naturally to me

Premium Member Will Visits the Zoo

William and I went to visit the zoo.
A big sprawling zoo exceedingly grand
We saw lions and tigers, some red kangaroo,
Cute mini monkeys from a far distant land,
And an ostrich who hid his head in the sand.

Past the wild horses on flat open ground
A wide green pasture beneath the blue skies
The wonders of wonders was there to be found
A huge grey elephant, enormous in size.
The poor child could hardly believe his own eyes

The butterfly farm, a wonderful sight
Like watching a dream of magic unfold
Thousands of beauties in motion and flight
Weaving with colours exceedingly bold.
A memory to keep for when I grow old.

Premium Member Sheila and Jim

Sheila stepped out of the mechanized gear-filled lab with her robotic dog.
her lace blouse a contrast to her steam-powered eighteenth-century hog.
Another inventor looked up gave her a quick friendly boy-next-door wave.
His invention would make robotic airships flow and cascade.

Is that another automaton? Sheila yelled at her childhood friend of forever.
He did not divulge secrets, for Sheila was exceedingly clever.
She tucked her auburn hair into a helmet from Leagues under the sea.
But she was not fooled by his quick answer, not by any degree.

these rival inventors had been steampunk friendly since twenty-twenty.
She had phenomenal forthcoming mechanics almost ready; he had plenty.
Nothing frilly or fancy about her robotics, she intended they be the best.
Jim understood this, but he still wanted to carve out for them a love nest.

Sheila had avenues to conquer, airships to build too.
Eventually he planned to make a move, for without her, life would be blue.
Sheila congratulated herself for her coolness as she rode her hog away.
She planned to make him fall in love with her, tomorrow might be the day.

Premium Member Troglodytes Troglodytes

Troglodytes troglodytes
A tiny European bird
Secretive and sensitive
But very often heard.

Its Latin name is very long
In contrast to its size.
Its British name
Is very short
We simply call it
‘Wren’.

However grand its Latin name
It’s glorious in one thing.
Oh, you should hear
So loud and clear
How it melodiously sings!

From out of such a tiny bird
Pours out a mighty sound
Far sweeter and far louder
Than so many birds around.

A tiny bird
Tells us that
Its great Creator
Can do more
Than we can ever ask or think.

“Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20

Premium Member The Space Between Stars

The space between stars is not empty
though JLo and Ben’s might be dead.
It seems that they can’t sell their mansion,
‘cuz who wants an unlucky bed?

The kids wish the stars kept their distance
like diddling P. Diddy, right?
But they’d offer little resistance
if stars got assaulted at night.

The space between stars is not empty,
but the distance, exceedingly great.
There’s pervy and curvy b-listers,
but not many good ones of late.

It is Written Part 1

Let the world know
It is written
In today’s life, it is good to be smitten
By the Word of God

It is written
“He is always watching,
Never sleeping
Jehovah himself is caring for you” Psalm 121: 4-5

The Promises are needed
We are never defeated
But treated to the splendour of
The Kingdom of God

It is written
“Now to Him who is able to do
Exceedingly abundantly above all that
We ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations,
forever and ever. Amen.

Let the world know
It is written
In today’s life, it is good to be smitten
By the Word of God

Premium Member Refurbished Nursery Rhymes: The Family Spratt

Mrs. Spratt was exceedingly fat,
Hubby Jack was as lean as a bone.
They both relished each meal
With a great deal of zeal
And even licked platters clean
When the eating was done.
Though not frugal with rations,
They still took lovely vacations
With the money they saved on dish detergent alone.

Premium Member light humor

There once was a fellow named Will,
Whose nose was exceedingly ill.
He sneezed with great force,
And altered his course,
he's orbiting Jupiter still!

There once was a lady named Sue,
Who found a strange thing in her stew.
She said with a grin,
And pulled out a pin,
"A stich in time, it is quite new!".
