Night Out at the Carnival

Neon lights twinkle against the velvet, dark skies,
Ferris wheel spins like a huge ring of fireflies;
Shadows sway in the pavement, tents, booths, and crowds,
As bright bulbs bring glare to cotton candy clouds .

Iron tunes from colorful carousel
Equalize clanking ride near the dinging bell;
Laughter listens to chatter screams in delight,
As hush whispers before the ride drops from height.

Sweet smell of chocolate, popcorn, and browned dough
Blends with oil from ride's engine in hot wind's blow;
Jumbo burger melts on the tongue bathed by Coke,
While the air is mixed with words of grease and smoke.

Young ones in a dreamlike world within nighttide
Savor the spot where pain pauses and woes hide.

Billowy storm clouds turn to skies of azure blue
Agonizing pain fades when its days are through
The trek of life has its many ups and downs
Its seasons of smiles, its times of frowns

We hope more joy and gladness are recorded
Than all the heartache and sadness that’s reported
Yet troubles and trials are given that we might know
That adversities strengthen; crises help us grow

If all the joys were placed in a basket of cane
And all the pains put in another of the same
Then both are put on a balance scale at life’s end
Would they equalize or which one would ascend

Perhaps, it is just a matter of how one views life
Joys are difficult to evaluate amid strife
And pain often accompanies times of celebration
These tensions are oft together whatever the occasion

Daresay, it is not whether these tensions exist or not
Inner feelings of ecstasy or agony play their part
It’s how we handle and ascertain life’s various scripts
Life’s many ups and downs, its differential treatments

Laura

cry cry its pretty time
credit card eyelashes
equalize the load
spend the morning unrushed
head full of murmur
down Liechtenstein we go
open the window
face eastwards
to all those strangers

On this landmark an image stands...
  statue of a man.
Man of honor and talent,
  admiration of any man.
Born with great love for country
Died with one heart of chivalry.

Studied in different schools,
  aced all subjects in drools.
A man gifted with excellence.
Shared great works in pickets,
Cured many patients without wickets.

A man of great stature,
No man may be able to equalize.
A man of great sorrow,
Sacrificed himself for tomorrow.
Fellowmen freed to visualize.

So much more can be said
About a man of enviable skills
Young and old have all laid
Heroism of a small man...
Bigger, higher than hills.

It Was a Dream

Be not proud of history
Let say more of nothing related to it
If we are to make ground beyond mere story
And avoid the challenge of beautiful game that turned

The start was crazy to hold unto
As fear grips hearts of loyal fans
Struggling to equalize the early goal
Let not talk of the two years ban

We were not in form like the blue
Hosting happiness dwelling in guise
European qualification for few
Is not justifiable to the fans' eyes

It then turns a surprise
To play with all strength
Thank God luck is with Chelsea's whys
That pin down fans' treat in length

And now, all blue fans could say is
"We let go of Arsenal to favor her featuring in Europe matches
Come next season to ease
The possible pressure on Arteta's patches

Up Up Chelsea fans that stayed to the end
To watch the last minute
Who still wave to us as a friend
Or turned out to alternate

The pleasure we have for the game
Is the best beyond the shame

What If

What if everything was given?
No work, we’re all living a life of ease
Apathetic, we sit at home
With no hopes or future dreams

There's no more need for higher education
We use psychedelics to expand our mind
We close our eyes and travel to exotic places
Eating gourmet food, sipping fine wine

We've already seen the consequences
A privilege extended has become defined as a right
But, when everyone is done
Who will continue with the fight?

Living a life of meaning and purpose
Manifest from blood, sweat, and tears
In an emotional attempt equalize everyone
We’ve digress year after year

We have to remember, survival is the exception
Extinction is the rule
How ironic, the self proclaim smartest of all species
Ends up looking like the biggest fool

In modern times, everything has been given
Humanity is now on its knees
There is time to turn things around
But its starts with personal responsibility

All About 'You'

what you give-
you receive

what you sense-
you believe

what you take-
you plagiarize

what you correct-
you equalize

what you speak-
you express

what you touch,
you bless

what you barter-
you exchange

what you dislike-
you change

there are many things
in life that balance each other out

may you find the stability peace inspires

Taking Time Out To Be Alone

Expression are never
Exaggerated
They are often
Off the wall
Who's keep you
Over inflated
Does truth equalize
Us all
Best before it
Expires
Limit yourself
Like a fool
Real love obligates
Ones devotion sets
The rule

Ain't tryna run no game
This man likes what he sees
Pushing me away sometimes
Makes me want you more
You go to far when you
Leave me on my knees
Don't have me out their
In need of love getting Grist
Ain't that hard at times
Guess I am the same
Way to
Guess I ain't always
So kind

Say you love me
We can be
All lovey dovey
Let me have my way
To night
Real as real can be
Talking you and me
Baby let me love
You tonight
Ain't what we do
When it's me and you
See I love it when
You turn me on
I like it too
Do what you do
Me and you.
Got a love
Thing going on

Madam Grace

Madam Grace was my music teacher her name was music to my ears because when she passed everybody chanted her name.
Her skin tone was vibrant and her ringtone was my favorite song,i guess we had something in common;good choice of music
Nonetheless ,her skills were prowess for she taught us how to equalize the pitch
of our voice at various verses.I still miss and cherish the moments during our practice sessions.
Even though she wasn't a rapper, she would always wrap her meetings with
a word of prayer that is the 'Grace' so as to have our Grace for a long time.

Roxana's Curse

Hey you guys, why leave your town
To find a bride and settle down?
Take a tip and don’t philander
Somewhere remote like Alexander.

He married a princess called Roxana,
It seems, to make her hill tribes calmer.
To equalize the world by sex
Was a worthy aim subject to checks.

Pneumonia, poison or whatever
The emperor from his wife did sever.
So poor Roxana was alone
Cut off from people, friends and home.

She made her way to Macedonia
There to die not of pneumonia.
She, much sinned against, did sin.
She did in some foes and got done in.

Want to learn more? Surf to ‘Cassander’
And read some books on Alexander.
Before they placed her in a hearse
She pronounced an awesome curse.

‘To conquer my land shall many strive
who ne’er shall leave that land alive’.
I fear this curse still ails her land,
which nought can lift save God's own hand.

Name this land if that you can.
Take this hint. It ends with –stan.

LEGAL
Is there anything we can equalize the waves of evil
This is the time of anything that is not equal
We must strive our best against all of uphealval
Nothing can alter the sense of legal

No Sheep Ever Strays

?No Sheep Ever Strays

She wanted to be
Hallowed part of history
Fight for you and me.

Land where all agree
God made her so we can see
To success is key.

Pray down on our knees
Equalize societies
And God always please.

From life remove fees
Have warm breeze blow through the trees
That removes the freeze.

We are sheep that graze
And when God we always praise
No sheep ever strays.

Each Day's Step

Each day’s steps

Each day’s steps stolen and stinks not sinks
Taken to the success
Horrible pucks
Each day’s steps stolen and stinks not sinks

Tomorrow’s steps swallowed
Determining the determination by the demotion
Steps taken today, awaken the abandoned in pain of rain
Each day’s steps stolen and stinks not sinks

The drizzle idle of ideal
Compare lengths of their steps
Depending tallness to reach the upends
Human lengths, weights and heights
The drizzle idle of ideal is running without under your own steam

Trepidation using owns-
Steps irregular considering
Heights, weights, and lengths in grottos

Equalize steps
While achieving success

The Old Homeplace

It’s now just an old run down structure
With broken window panes and all
With hinges rusting away with time
And cold air rushing down the hall
But once it housed our family
And kept us together back then
With the fireplace blazing with all its might
To equalize that howling wind
And there was mama in the kitchen
And the aroma still lingers on
Of bread and rice and sugar syrup
That was blessed in our home
And to that old wood cooking stove
A salute for those loving times
With all us gathered round for warmth
With meal prayers that were so sublime
Yep, that was way back yonder
But you know I still visit it some days
Inside my head and smile a lot
With us children hard at play
You know to us money was nothing
We grew what we ate back then
And hand me down clothes with patches
We could of been old Huck Finn
I still remember and chuckle some days
When an old wooden structure I see
Cause once or twice or maybe more
Inside there is where we would be
It’s now just an old run down structure
With broken window panes and all
With hinges rusting away with time
And cold air rushing down the hall

Like a tree in spring
                                                         we start out as buds
                                                         yearning to become leaves.

                                                         In summer we flourish
                                                         soaking up the sunlight
                                                         with absorbing passion.
.
                                                         In fall we transform
                                                         alienating our brothers
                                                         by position, and color.

                                                         In winter we equalize
                                                         mounds withered, and brown
at the mercy of the wind.
