In The Abstract

Some never find wrongdoing
in one of their own
no matter the proof shown
or how many whistles are blown
they circle the wagons close ranks
deny any and all culpability
then compound the issue
by defending duplicity with verbal hostility
but Detective Inspector Quasimodo
could solve a crime before lunch
he'd secure the scene collect clues examine the evidence
and would bust the culprit just on a hunch

Duplicity

Inside her room,
Inside her vase, my flowers stand
straight sheer in sight
lilac, magenta and saffron’s delight
bunched up in a bouquet, neat and tight
For I considered her my flower girl
even in sickness and vain

I anticipate from the 25th until the 15th or yell-
inside? outside?
higher,
No.
lower,
as they draw the Ace
away my eyes water and
suddenly flower and flour are the same thing
but why do I wilt whilst you expire, Teddy
Voila! kidneys are found in the back,
your hand rests at the bottom.
scribbles inside of the brain and a stabbing in the chest is forgotten
Instead I roll up my tongue.

Duplicity

Duplicity
Is there a person present beyond the plastic shell?
The AI generation exemplifies artificiality
The same plastic makeup that is prevalent in humans.
Are we people, or are we robots with artificial intelligence?
Devoid of real feeling and emotion, fixated on self.
While our fellow men waste away,
Their calls for support and help lay in vain.

We remain fixated on money, on gadgets on flimsy values
Hypnotised by material things, by disposable whatnots.
Gone are care, compassion, role modelling, and humanity.
Selfishness, greed and egoism have entered our lives
Truth be told, we are not moved or touched by anything!
The God-created human form and being
Sadly replaced by machine learning, by robotics by codes!

We are deaf, we are blind, we are retarded.
We live in a disposable world, a world destined to crumple.
We replace organs, goods, people and entertainment
By computer graphics, AI tools and 3D printing.
Are we using intelligence? Are we using our God-given brain?
Or do we mimic the robots, the AI Gods and the Handbook for Dummies?
One never knows, I guess, even this work may be from outer world.

Pain equally substantial
The source is the same

Premium Member Duplicity

This is not as good as it gets;
You needle and it stimulates,
joy your hard nose eliminates;
Screw your limits; Screw your limits;

Don’t ask for attention from me,
I’m something you don’t care to see;
What is the new song gonna be?
       Duplicity, Duplicity.

Rampant Lethargy

R is for the repeated distortions of facts,
A for press articles written with hacks,
M for the emphasis placed on survival,
P for the piss taken out of your rival.
A for analogies that never convince,
N for false narratives making us wince,
T for traditional values cast-off
That cause umpteen scholars and clergy to scoff.

L is for lovers whom I dream of all night,
E for electric bills high as a kite,
T for temptations I can’t keep at bay,
H for Matt Hancock - please God stay away!
A is for the **** he fondled intensely,
R for resigning - we respect that immensely,
G is for the government of which he was part, and
Y for the yes-men aboard that rotting cart.

Premium Member Duplicity of the Wind

The wind seems a song of placidity
As it passes through the meadow near
But I know it’s a harbinger of treachery
Soon, from sudden blasts of Arctic air.

They say a snowstorm is imminent
We must quickly prepare for the worst
A drop in the barometer is prominent,
And folks in our area are well-versed.

The grocer’s shelves are nearly bare
Of staples like bread, milk, and cheese,
The wind has begun to pick up there
In the meadow and through the trees.

Paradigm Shift

I’m adjusting fixed positions
On opinions and deductions
From now on breathing other airs
I have a stack of fresh instructions

I let go of once held handle bars
Veering off from straight line steering
Riding curves requiring nerves
Whilst watching stances disappearing

Chancers wait to try it on
Consider risk-maintaining stakes
Ask what can we afford to lose
Whilst still expecting lucky breaks

Duplicity

The duplicity of solitude,
— thinker and thought

The lies we tell ourselves,
  hoping never to get caught

In darkness, living behind walls
  that conceal

Our thoughts from our feelings,
—masquerading as real

Duplicity

As I lay on sodden ground
Silence reigns,
There lays no sound.

I feel no pains
I have no displeasure
My heart interlocked by chains.

I feel great and euphoric leisure
I am in control I’m proud to say
Nothing can stop this pleasure.

I am feeling no guilt and no sorrows
Am I kidding myself to the actual truth?
Because even small ants cast long shadows.

I have passed the fountain of youth
I also been removed from past glory
Nothing is equable and nothing is smooth.

In truth this is not all my story
It belongs to another sod like me
We’re are not hunky dory.

One side of me is totally free
The other confused and fouled up
Both in me yet they never agree.

I can feel them but never see them close-up
Yet even small ants cast long shadows
So do I and I am going to shut up.

Perfidy Duplicity - Angst

I was deeply in love .
I did not know why our relationship should not be.
He said let’s get marry.
I begin to write vows for our wedding.

We planned our fusing in late June and he canceled in early May.
The message said:
I canceled our nuptial because I am already married.

I am pregnant and do not know what to do.
I should have never had sex with you boo.
You have canceled our wedding ceremony because you are conjugal.
I have been damned by my own desires.

This cancellation is unkempt.
You have deceive the wrong person.
Therefore, our life will meet again.
A healthy child I will deliver.
A normal life I have been given.

The receiver of the message said:
I refuse to let you out of this when I am pregnant.
However, our separate ways make sense.
In the future, we will meet again.

Duplicity

Bound by preconceptions of what is and what cannot be,
we condemn and deny life's inherent duplicity,
that birds sing the songs of God is truly reality
and our thoughts and dreams take flight like leaves from an autumn tree.

Duplicity

He swallowed my heart with a greedy smile
and the world began to bend
Although I sensed an emptiness
He swore he was my friend

So I parted with a sigh
and He smiled to himself
while picturing my timid heart
upon his trophy shelf

Faithful Duplicity

In the depth of darkness sounds, words, just words of meaningless consequence
Never was there a line so cold, so still, overflowing with too much to hold
Elegant lies weaved into one, the crash comes soon as the enchanted deception runs
Vivid colors, blood red pumps and with every word the mind carries the forbidden orb
Idolized perfection of thought and words, lips move as hearts tear, a lived lie rooted in flesh
Trivial tasks made into chores, that one line a promise of vows, rocks hide on crashing shores.
And with the hourglass runs out, sand poured drinks for the parched sitting on stools of doubt.
Bible teachings show guarantees, written in stone, did they know circumstance as these?
Lying now, even now as confessional insomniacs crawl in guilt, the pills to fall to that darkness yet
Even now in crammed spaces, dark rooms, the inevitable black of truth stains the white of lies.
