god's bit to poetize
airborne raindrops deflect sun rays, rainbow emerges
swift surprise!

heavens in trance
human spirit dispossesses
joy dance!!

moonstruck
time infringes
luck!!!

god's bit to poetize
human spirit dispossesses

Premium Member That part

I’ve a mind full of thoughts
              plus stuff I try forget
          those things I won’t recall
              are hard to recollect
           it’s not I can’t remember
              but prefer to deflect
that part of what I am
           feels wrong in retrospect

             “Oh just say it already”
              No! I’m here to reflect
“Say it! go on admit it
              this is plain old regret”
           But I’m the damage done
               that I cannot correct
            And you, this other voice
are that part I can’t accept

Premium Member " Never Justify, Argue, Defend, Explain Your Choices "

Never deflect your truth for
Borrowed eyes

Every choice you make is
Paid in life-wise

Voices' conversation is loud but never
Lived your grind

Expect no chorus when you
Discipline your own mind

Root your steps in what feels
Justified

Justify nothing- your spirit is
Enough

Under your skin lives the
Tangible tough stuff

Silence is power when the
World wants evidence

Trust your path even when it
Feels standoffish

Inside your calm sits the
Truest truism

Fear evaporates when you
Stand uncuffed

Your choices don't need a
Magistrate

Anger is boundaries finally
Speaking

No weakening to keep
The peace in

Growth hits harder when you
Stop tweaking

Energy saved is energy boosting

Respect your fire without
Deteriorating

Defend nothing- your life ain't a
Trial
Every lesson earned came with
Its own distance

Faith in yourself stays flexible

Open only to those who understand

Ignore the pressure to defend

Carry your calm like a trusted
Companion

Every step you take soars
Stay aligned with divinity's will

Reading Faces

You can't read a mind, but you can read a face
Just watch over time to see emotions that race
Expressions revealing rejection or jeers.
Enough to chill anyone, confirm paranoid fears.

There's the expression "We will crush you"
And "You just don't get it, but we hate you."
A face that can't hide a nasty plan
What can I do? I'm just one man.

There's the face that says I'm a cloying fool
Then there's tones I never heard in school
There's the tone of dripping contempt
How do I deflect that, even make an attempt?

There's the face rehearsing how he'll beat me to a pulp
I look at it and let out a nervous gulp.
Skeptics say I expect to see, then I fill in
But if half is true, my future is grim.

The are the words too, that sometimes come along
But the interesting aspect is the rest of the song
Maybe it's the brain controlling muscles, controlling eyes
That makes the inner feeling break through the disguise.

This preceded talking, in our evolutionary past
Another way of knowing, that some dismiss too fast.
You can know much about a man, just by the way he laughs
Know with who to hunt the wildebeest, with who to forge your path.

Surmise.? They are to fight to deflect the
Heat of the files.? Is what I get.' Just like
the survivors; pawns for human value deniers.' Damn well makes me sick..
So i'm giving the planners a virtual

Shadow chaser

A pleasurable fun
The mighty fairy men
That rest on their misfortune fames
And boast of their powerful names

Seeking greatness all ways
Making out through the trough
Unrelenting spirit standing all days
Perfect description of the field falloff

Going beyond ones apparition
Assays for the end
Goes beyond what words can amend
Eating up via pump to fake the love for ammunition

The same book that we had last neglect
The same world we learn was a dream
While we are still in love to deflect
Forgetting our way to the darling home

Shadow is a fear on its own
It leaves in time of distress
To see your endless joy born
The best ever siege redress

Leaving and coming
A mark of change
While you wait almost hoping
The faded change impinge

Hell Hot Water

The little beads rise to the surface of her skin.
The skin that seems to have
'gotten scratched by the cat'

One too many times.

But as she goes to erase all evidence of her deflect
She feels it sting.

A sting she knows all too well.

Her blood feeling the tension of the gleaming blade against her skin
The sting comes and goes,

But here comes the hell hot waters,
The little voices in her head screaming for her to yell in pain, in anger,
something to tell people she's hurt

But she just sighs as the
demons come from the shower and cause havoc on her skin
Her fingers graze against her
scars as she is reminded of the the pain, the agony.

But she will sigh, as she know the hell hot water demons,
will soon meet her skin again

In a round-about, indirect
Not to dissect but inspect
Alternative means to deflect
From some singular aspect,
Of getting to a point or effect…

I need to be more direct.

Premium Member my love for diamonds

black diamonds did not form on our planet
They are from outer space
Reputed to deflect negativity from the wearer

diamonds have a shine that rivals the stars
they look fantastic in jewelry – rings and necklaces
I remember receiving my first one in nineteen sixty-four

I have lost them, found them, and revitalized them
They always delight me
each with her own personality
as diverse as a snowflake
no two alike

Forget regret, riffs on what ifs

Forget riffs of regrets

But

To the hilt
We tilt to
Inbuilt lilt
A guilt quilt
Can jilt & wilt

But

No tiffs with what ifs
Won’t let you fret
Circumspect.. I find
Older you get
Bet..more honest…more kind

Care more..know more
Late bloomer rumour
Embraces candour...humour
Respect velvety vagaries
Traces of reflect

Suspect future’s the tutor
Detect serendipity the suitor
Evolution..glints of revolution
Pip that convoluted New Year’s tip

Genuinely don’t genuflect
No sorrow...deflect hints
Of mooted rebooted resolution
Suspect Tomorrow might
Be your best day yet!

Premium Member Role Models - Then and Now

In school when I was being raised
the role models who then were praised
were the American icons—
George Washington, “I cannot tell a lie”
Honest Abe, a straight-shooting kind of guy
Later we heard Jimmy Carter testify
“I’ll never tell a lie …”
For my generation and prior
they raised the bar higher
Honesty was the best policy

That was then
This is now …

When caught in a lie
deny
When accusations resound
double down
When proof’s presented
get inventive
When they continue to confront
cry witch-hunt
When they accuse you of a crime
deflect each time
When they bring more claims
call them demeaning names
over and over
and over and
over and over
and over again
Nothing to lose
You may even win …

But lying is still a sin

Best to extol the role model
who always gets it right
(then and now)
Jesus — ‘The way, the truth, the life!’

John 14:6. Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." —NWT Study Bible

The Silent Visitor

It comes whisking in when least expected,
Its steps silent, its grip too cold.
It slips through cracks, unseen and unchecked,
No whistle blown, no stories told.

Whether the doors are opened or locked,
It doesn't knock to take its due.
Whether the windows are open or closed,
It cares not for the clear sky or view.

It will one day meet us all, face to face,
Perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow.
It visits only at its chosen time, regardless of place,
Carrying both peace and sorrow.

May the heavens be pleased when the last breath is drawn,
For it is a phantom force we can never deflect.

Rage

Rage

My rage, it expires
down deep to desires
but I must keep the fight
to turn on the light.
But the light is the sun
and surely everyone
must feel its effect.

Well, except if you're a defect like me.
Except if you deflect like me.
Except if you conflict like me.
Does anyone live like me?
Does anyone *perfect* like me?
Is anyone poetic like me?
Is anyone in pain like me?
Is anyone in disdain like me?

Light hurts my eyes
light hurts my brain
and I wonder if I can still tame
the beast inside me as it starts to roar,
and all the while the light shines more.

When *will* this hell end for me?
But peace has prices to pay
as I go to live with the fae
and fight on to see another day.
