IMAGINATION

Closed eyes; under a locked prism of unavailable light
subjects our third eye to mind's internal creation;
imagined images viewed by non-existent senses
on an opague three dimensional screen.

In an algorithm of shedded particle waves
Insight quickly fades back into a darkened vision
of only half a picture without reflection.

It leaves with us a broken trail of possibilities
new thoughts, new choices, changes in destiny
warily made under duress of immediacy
trying to conceive a canvas framed
by the hand of God.

It is in response to these panchromatic memories
held back by the sun's blackened light,
that we clearly notice how the prism
reflects an undercurrent. of shadeless secrets
different than the realm of visionary colors.

Sensory detections relinquish an uncompleted picture.
The image within, at times, may reveal an idea.
the transmission of which however placed
when received should strive to become an emotional
mover of otherwise placid thinking where wizened leaders
can in causes wept in sorrow from yesterday's sadness
proclaim a hope for a brighter tomorrow.

INTERPRETATION:

When our eyes are shut tight, there is no light or vision.
We are limited to what we see with our inner mind.
Nevertheless there is an internal sense,
a feeling of a creative process going on.
It occurs as insight and often fades into a clouded vision
of a thought picture barely perceived within.

When we leave the path of contemplative thinking,
we lose the benefit of what could have been.
The choices we make are usually expedient
and we struggle to determine
what it is that we really want.
Often we are faced and challenged by outside forces
many of which we deflect as we espouse our point of view
without exploring all the possibilities.

We see what could be and would like to be
hoping that it will make a difference.
and help humanity move forward
to a brighter tomorrow.

Retort To the Devil...

They call you the fallen one, with short tuffted curls
the one responsible for the chaos in the world
you may be the cause,as we live the effect
but your time is near,as you continue to infect

Like an invisible predator, you prey on the weak
like a pride of lions, you pounce on the meek
false pride as it is,your rebellious tirades
the lamb shall arrive to expose your charade

You've enjoyed this sadomasochism way too much
mad puppeteer with an unseen touch
unconscionable,incorrigible,shameless you believe
disgraced by your own doing, from tricks up your sleeve

There are some whom believe, even you have a purpose
hard to conceive,as you delight being murderous
ravager of souls and the misled conscience
fantasy and fallacy are amusements fictitious

But I...

Sheathed in light, resistant to your malice
filled to the brim like a holy chalice
illusory charms deflect from the scene
impermeable am I,to your vicious deeds...
especially,
how you conduct your kangaroo court......

The Strength of Truly Gentle Men

Who wouldst decry such chivalry
deny the outspread cloak, the proffered hand,
plod through puddled mud, drag silken train,
in smug reproach of such a gentle man.

Hast all the glow been scrubbed from humankind
till every gesture – weighed - is found to lack
the power to deflect cold sightless eyes
from barren search o’erlooking all but self.

Should we, in vain reproach withdraw the cloak,
splash also in the muddled, mindless muck
that passes as the futures promised hope -
wash - Pilate-like - the stain from outstretched hands

Lest the cloak be tainted by history’s tarnished brush
and denied the strength of truly gentle men.

Premium Member The Armor of God

In ancient times when knights were bold,
They dressed in armor, so we're told.
When they went out to face their foe,
Their armor protected them head to toe.

Christians we must do the same,
Or be struck down by Satan's aim.
His flaming arrows fly all around,
Intending to knock us to the ground.

So put on God's armor without delay,
We need His protection everyday.
For our struggle is not against what we can see,
But the powers of darkness are our enemy.

Stand firm then and dress with all haste,
Start with truth buckled 'round your waist.
Satan fights dirty by spreading lies,
But the belt of God's truth will make us wise.

Next is the Breastplate of Righteousness,
That God provides for all who are His.
It's the righteousness of Christ covering you,
That the evil one cannot stand up to.

Now cover your feet with the readiness of,
Sharing God's gospel of peace and love..
Take the Shield of Faith and keep it near,
To deflect Satan's arrows of confusion and fear.

Place the Helmet of Salvation firmly on your head,
It will keep Satan's lies from filling you with dread.
He wants to make you doubt your salvation is sure,
But the helmet will guard your mind and keep you secure.

Your armor is complete, but now you need a sword,
So take the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of the Lord.
God's Word is sufficient to defend or attack.
With God's Word in your heart you can hold Satan back.

With your armor in place and your Sword in your hand,
Be strong in the Lord and in His power stand.
And pray in the Spirit at all times and all ways,
Cause the enemy trembles when Saints start to pray!

My Wall

My wall
The safe space that I hide
There, you don't exist
And I go on with my life

My wall is impenetrable
It can withstand a strong wind
Yet its permeable
It's where I decide who I let in

My wall has a purpose
Resolving my troubles and fears
I deflect
It's a trick, I learned in my early years

My wall keeps people out
I feel protect from my foes
Unfortunately, I become a prisoner
Captive within the confines of a mind you don't know

My wall has consequences
Sometimes I feel locked inside
I suffocate in isolation
Relationships get fractured in my life

The wall that I built
To provide shelter from my storm
Creates a temporary reprieve
An illusionary deviation from the norm

For those who have built a wall
Life is never quite the same
You see, we get to hold all the cards
In a dysfunctional game that we play

My wall is strong
Impenetrable some may say
Just don't take it personal
It's a trust issue, that's made me this way

Premium Member Poet Can You See

Look at the stars, look at how they shine for you and everything you do - Coldplay - Yellow

Do you ever realize how powerful your words are
what feelings you bring forth
and, the sum of all your worth
do you ever realize how powerful your poems are?

Does your heart ever feel the feelings readers express
how do you know how they feel
after they read your verse so real
does your heart ever imagine the feelings you impress?

Have you ever seen the brilliance you deflect
what star can ever match
those lovely lyrics you unlatch
have you ever observed the light, that you reflect?

Poet, do you realize how much of you I see in me
no stars of heaven can reflect
those words you circumspect
poet can you see why I pine, for the light in thee .

Premium Member Mindful Eye

Mindfulness shows us the way,
self-aware through night and day.
Ego urges deflect thought,
thus its best, to be self-taught.

Exiting game of shadows,
we graze in heaven’s meadows.
Erst fears and desires renounced,
lower mind is here now trounced.

Knowing love alone real,
fickle cravings lose appeal.
That that does not come and go,
recognised in stillness slow.

Oh hermit, God in-dwells form,
felt as bliss magnetism warm.
Once cravings of ego shorn,
we as twice born, yet live on.

Ricochet

The bird in the tree
Singing so beautifully!
Does not sing for me

And yet, as witness
There’s no doubt I benefit
And am doubly blessed

By the notes that play
In delightful ricochet
I deflect your way!

Premium Member Role Models - Then and Now

In school when I was being raised
the role models who then were praised
were the American icons—
George Washington, “I cannot tell a lie”
Honest Abe, a straight-shooting kind of guy
Later we heard Jimmy Carter testify
“I’ll never tell a lie …”
For my generation and prior
they raised the bar higher
Honesty was the best policy

That was then
This is now …

When caught in a lie
deny
When accusations resound
double down
When proof’s presented
get inventive
When they continue to confront
cry witch-hunt
When they accuse you of a crime
deflect each time
When they bring more claims
call them demeaning names
over and over
and over and
over and over
and over again
Nothing to lose
You may even win …

But lying is still a sin

Best to extol the role model
who always gets it right
(then and now)

We Are the Victors I'M Back

I’d like too invite all to be my guest
a dine of mindfulness and rhyme digest
a week of conflict now victory blessed
standing united to silence a pest

Since the last time you heard from me I was banned again
ran my mouth and pen and stand condemned
taking a time out as the site suspended
yet always polite to poets I’ve befriended

In my lifetime of few consistences
a sucker for trouble
not designed for resistance
never stuck in a bubble
don’t run nor crumble
my back’s up I stand tall
I’m one for the rumble
not decided but natural

I’m an alpha with a non fictional reaction
I can’t stray from friction I give it back to ‘em

They flint
I flame
retardants
don’t reign

Even with intense insistence I’m risky
back and forth witty hits get me frisky
I’m Jack Daniels confrontation’s whiskey

and as it ascends force
whistling me wolf
I submit my thoughts
with all above board

but as the war gets me bored
within my core recycled and restored
enemy amo pours out below par
firing missiles I go to far

through lost remorse
this one track horse
gallops the course
with overwhelming force

only to fail care and I fall where I fell before

Standing up squarely
Cus nobody scares me
then punished unfairly
cus I ain’t no fairy

Deemed out of line
as I mouth my mind
blow for blow with swines
or write down rhymes

I’ve got one finger for sign language
knowing 5 fold in flight damage

You’re not the first to run me down
I’m not one to get the boys around
“I know a lot of people” not my threat
get me vexed I come direct

Others rely on their made up crew
not me though mate I come straight for you

One minute you’re coming calling me chump
the next minute running Forest Gump
I’ve never experienced intimidated slumps
the altercation ignition leads me to jump

start the motor ticks, over being a victim
insults thrown deflect don’t sink in
get thrown back with hurt inflicting
stand his ground does Nick Trim

Will call us HMS Victory and him the birds eye on a French deck,
one cannon ball later he’s drenched in a shipwreck

So thanks to the soupers standing with me,
the victory with us not he,
again I say soupers standing with me
are the ones standing victoriously

Premium Member Vaporise

Toroidal heart and bliss bubbles bursting
in thousands noiselessly at head ovoid,
ushers rapture for which we were thirsting,
being by ego no longer decoyed.

As a sublime fragrance suffuses form,
we are both in this world and in heaven,
enveloped by a magnetic bliss storm,
soma nectar drips through chakras seven.

When jarring life notes deflect attention,
bliss remains but its attributes dilute,
prompting us to restore meditation,
that our soul presence within may reboot.

Deepen oh hermit, deepen each bliss strobe ~
Layer by layer, ignorance disrobe

My Life, My Game

I play my life like my kind of sport
I face opponents in badminton court
Racquet and shuttlecock on hand
Just flick the birdie to the other end

In high clear the quilled rubber flew
A sure defensive stance I often threw
Preventing a smash, parrying a score
Thus, the shuttle lands on the floor

The green court is wide and long
Knees must be fast and strong
Calculated serves oddly placed
Unreturned, I can score an ace

I seldom position myself at the back
Mostly in front to deflect all attacks
Drop shots to elude sharp drives
A kill will deflate opponents’ pride

In the middle, when the rally starts
That instant where I need to be smart
Flicked, pushed and dropped a net shot
The umpire called fault, although I was not

I may lose today, I might be in pain
But I’ll be back tomorrow to play again
I live my life like a badminton game
I play for fun and not for fame

Melt Away Racism

Melt away Racism – Zamreen Zarook

Various ways the populace onset,
Launching always begin with an inset,
Day by day every mind starts to feel upset,
But it is sky rocketing on every sunset.

What is the gaining out of this discrimination?
What is the meaning of this aggravation?
They find this as an anticipation,
But it is considered as the state of aberration

Tongue is given under an oath,
He gave hands and legs not to see you as sloth,
Let your positive mind handle them both,
Definitely it will wrap you with a golden cloth.

Show respect and be perfect,
Happiness and Elysium will be your deflect,
It’s the exact time to give the inject,
Then, there won’t be a single of deflect.

Premium Member Terrorist

Some One may ask, hiding behind mask
Who is the terrorist? Who indeed I ask?
Many a terrorist deflect their sins
On the defenders of freedom, they sow their raw hate
They yell their morals then cheat on their mate

They care only for their own righteous words
They brainwash the victims to cut off the heads
Then invent truths to fit their illusions so dead
They sing of peace and sell bullets for blood
Careful of the dark shadows hiding behind masks

They are easy to spot
They say not their names, only to defame
They hide behind codes and monikers
The KKK was classic
At the white cloak game

If you disagree
A hypocrite he says you shall be
When he is the leader of deceiving all of thee
Sweet words never hide the camel’s breath
Ask the children of Assad

Killed by men behind gas masks

A Brutal Battle of America's Pastime

Going to war armed with a metal pole,
A stiff breeze cuts the summer air.
Becoming safe is the primary goal,
And the chattering and cheering begin to blare.

I stop to turn and face my enemy,
He stares me down, ready to battle.
I can only imagine what lies ahead of me,
But I'm tough, so I know I won't rattle.

The first shot is fired, the battle's begun,
And the shot comes close, but misses its spot.
It may have come close, but I will not run,
I dig back in and wait for the next shot.

Wind kicks up the rust colored dirt,
As a next shot, colored white, is coming near.
So I deflect the shot away, without being hurt,
Then dig back in again, feeling no fear.

A third shot is fired in the ferocious fight,
And as this next shot closes on in,
I focus and swing with all my might,
Knowing this is a battle I will win.

I smack the shot long and far,
This will be my moment of fame.
The shot clears the fence and hits a car,
And I know my homerun has won the game.
