Myself and my bike are one
Feet and pedals locked in unision
My heart beats out the distance.
I long to be cycling up a mountain pass
A mountain goat on the cliff, a lake like glass
A foaming river on my left, cascading down the height
Indian paintbrush in a meadow, snowy peaks on my right.
And I couldn’t go wrong
If I had Dad along
The way he used to be
Explaining the landforms to me.
Mother and brothers would pedal too
We’d crest the pass to a panoramic view
of mountains and valleys and a wide blue ocean
Elegant towns, freight trains in motion.
Once the road was narrow, but the future was wide
Every pass a stepping stone, every mile sanctified
We ventured without thinking what it cost or meant
Some stops to regroup, but hope fueled our ascent.
I long to be cycling up that mountain pass
But freedom like that now lives in the past
Can’t do it anymore—so many restraints
Maybe in an afterlife we’ll ride with the saints.
Back to the mountain, just a metaphor
We go our own ways, life closes the door.
If you take the wrong path, hard to get on track.
Can't tell the clock to turn itself back.
The kind ones, the mean ones,
the big ones, the lean ones-
Some try, some don't,
and some cry, but some don't.
Actions and reactions,
what are they but events,
cycling o'er and o'er?
We laugh, we cry,
we live, we die;
cycling o'er and o'er.
The poor ones, the rich ones,
the happy ones, the sad ones,
"Why does money even matter?"
Cycling o'er and o'er.
History repeats, o'er and o'er,
going once, going twice, going thrice-,
The strong, the weak,
the power we all seek;
it cycles o'er and o'er.
Cycling o'er and o'er.
"Yesterday sometimes is a comfortable sofa where we want to be lazy, instead to keep on cycling on the given road". -by author
A time machine has not been invented yet, it would be nice.Very often we search in the drawers for our past, photos, letters, school mates and we even, don't know what.Time to time, we know what it is feeling blue, especially when we grow older and we remember about our best years. Who never looked for the best moments of their lives?.
Yes, I did. As the most of the human beings.
Good to remember where we belong to, without forgetting that we still have part of our life ready to be explored.
Never forget that while the moon
switches its light off, the sun will switches it on again.
A time machine to travel to yesterday
is all in your mind.

jinxed souls i combat
each night laboriously~
snorting loud on bed
cognizant i lay
browsing mounds of ceaseless tasks~
drifting in my brain
fire flies breed in cheer
enclosing frame serenely~
rouses my spirit
i soar in night air
enthralling glimpses of stars~
steering halts at dawn
cycles thirsty dreamy thoughts~

10 June 2023
A wobble waiting in the shed
A joke cracked by Victorian comedians
A test of youthful instability
A trial by tarmac
An unyielding seat with changing views
A wetter way of travelling through rain
A soundless nemesis for pensioners
A tin-tack gathering machine
A complexity in ambulation
A tool used by the mad or desperate
A ticking mockery of balance
A frame for shaming the unfit
A creaking snail on hills
A public declaration of pretence or poverty
An undignified arrival and
A bait for thieves
My bike is powered by a need
To get to work, to earn a crust
To avoid a tedium of traffic jams
To get through this cold rain alive
To weave between the brutal cars
To end the journey and arrive
My bike is powered by a need
To re-live golden days we had
To be back with the ones I love
To save the planet from some pain
To heal my health and love the stars
To see and kiss your face again

Cycling in the summertime is swell
The feel of the cool wind in your face
Riding through a level flowering dell,
Exhilaration finally winning the race.
The feel of the cool wind in your face
Sweet scents of blossoms inhaling,
Exhilaration finally winning the race
With tired and sore muscles entailing.
Sweet scents of blossoms inhaling
The sun feeling warm on your face,
With tired and sore muscles entailing
You accept your trophy with grace.
The sun feeling warm on your face
Congratulations on the victory won,
You accept your trophy with grace
The whole experience so much fun.
