There comes that day, inevitable day
when God will have had enough.
When His promises, humans overstay
hence, He will have his rebuff.
God's covenants come with a consequence
as we humans play the fool.
His forgiveness appraises disobedience;
and He governs with sovereign rule.
Is it selfish to pray, "Lord, Jesus, come
to take your children home"?
Such brings the destruction of earth's kingdom;
yet shall tribulation convert some?
Away with the pretense of our praise;
God knows the song of our hearts,
His justice rolls as the rivers raise,
judgment will stream as His Spirit departs.

Spiritual Words
Redeemed, saved from sin.
Being merciful on his behalf.
Salvation, through deliverance.
Covenants, an agreement to keep his law.
The ten commandments.
To be faithful under the sun.
Merciful, showing compassion.
Faith, trust and belief.
Justification, humankind not accountable, free of penalty.
Grace, elegance and beauty.
Humble, down to earth, giving not receiving.

God made my bed this morning
Of course, I made my bed, but God planned according
God ordains all things, (good or bad, all things)
Yes, even the Drill Sergeant’s inspection to see if my bed springs
(All y’all will know what that means, if you know what I mean)
Does that mean God is evil?
No, He predestines all things and figures in our free will
That’s right, God predestines our free choices
(even when the duvet is not quite poi-fect)
God made my breakfast this morning
Of course I made my own, He provided all things, conforming
He provides all things up to and while, and the continuing
(He sees the seeing and knows the knowing, the end, and the beginning)
So, whatever you do, do unto the Lord
Because He’s in control, so be onboard
As in Pacto Arco Iris, so it is in all God’s covenants
As our God is moving by thwarting Satan’s intents
So, as you go about your day
Have comfort knowing God has planned the way
Even your free choices fit into His plan
For every child and women and every man
Praise the King of saints

Lord, it’s the road less traveled that leads us to you.
We do well to accept the things, you want us to do.
Which way the road will turn, only you God can see.
I believe and trust in you, to guide Patricia and me.
She’s right here beside me now, as you already know.
She says that she’s willing to go where you tell us to go.
Help us to hear from you, and keep you first in our mind.
Cause us to stay humble, and both leave our pride behind.
I believe and know that with you, Lord, we surely will win.
We both want to be committed, until the very end.
Create in me the man that she really needs me to be.
Let me see her, my Lord, the way you want me to see.
Help us during times we both might feel alone.
Let your love permeate, every inch of our marriage home.
I know that all covenants are very important to you.
We promise to love, trust your word and leave the rest up to you.
We’ll put your word first so that others like us can see.
The greatness of what Our Lord has done, for Patricia, and me.

Jericho Road – Written, sung, recorded by poet
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thinking About Jericho Road
A road with no name, where earth births stillborn stones,
Snakes through stillness
Into a fading perspective that neither winks nor smiles
Not touching impotent palms of bleached fronds,
Colored in the scent of cold ashes,
To whisper a chorus of mystery
To saints and sinner
In shades of hard steel
And colors of monotony on this threadbare path.
Blank road devoid of thought,
A monorhyme of barren greys and dust
Without imagination,
Makes no covenants with curses or blessings
Kings or pilgrims
Or with the fragile flower
Changeless except to remain
One moment held by time, that knows each name,
Without a star, only an invitation for resurrection.
Quite far we have traversed, in pursuit of goals we chose,
Through troubles and trepidations of seasons in throes;
Sometimes reveling sunshine, sometime in glum of shadows,
Always together~ on barren terrains, or verdant meadows.
In albums of yore, we ruminate now, turning pages of life,
Banishing anguish of feelings-forlorn, fuming in strife;
Reminiscing in moments passionate, of love sublime,
Treasured in memories-beloved, accumulated over time.
Harboring wisdom, inlaid in life’s waning phase, as we age,
In realms of reflections, insights-sapient, now we engage;
Learning from knowledge gained, from choices we made,
Accepting with grace, laments of secrets, as yet unsaid.
Regrets unmitigated, voice remorse of unuttered sigh,
Seeking empathy from goodwill of repentant goodbye;
As life tallies good versus bad, that introspections confide,
Eying a tranquil state of mind, devoid of hate and pride.
It’s time to reflect, it’s time to mend, it’s time to befriend,
As journey of life, beaming content, approaches its end;
Living final days in covenants revered, humbly we penned,
Elevating self, in peace of bliss, to heavens we shall ascend.
A wounded sigh, an expression evincing the pain of hurt,
A bawl in solitude, turbulence of inner emptiness stirs,
When emotions clamor, simmering in angst of regrets,
When mute demeanor, of injured breath, wistfully frets.
Soul desperately aches for a special someone to talk to,
Someone who understands the language of quietude,
Someone who can soothe the trauma, of life gone askew,
Someone who brings to fore, hope of tomorrow anew.
Laments of past echo, moaning upon meadows of life,
Reverberating in heartbreak of grief, bereft of promise,
To rehabilitate devastation of savage emotional storms,
As covenants, deemed eternal, hesitate in broken vows.
Wounded hearts now trace moments of love, sadly lost,
When loneliness dwells in nightmares of past forlorn,
When the abandoned pledges of forever, callously mock,
As muffled wail recalls, life of joy and love, that once was.
Sorrows now seek solace, yearning compassionate voice
To soothe tides of heartbreak, agitating lonesome mind,
As hopes of morrow rekindle in womb of promising night,
When smile-endearing, subjugates cry of wounded sigh.
Peace and unity sing in harmony, echoing worldwide,
When acts of humility replace revenge-infused pride,
When narrowness of mind, naked ambitions subside,
When nations of goodwill, stand together side-by-side.
No inconsolable tears, flooding grief in mothers’ eyes,
No gloomy dawns rise, in smoke of war on sunny skies,
Clamors of hungry, displaced souls, no longer agonize;
No more shattered dreams, buried alive, to eulogize.
Nothingness ceases to vacate sanctity of self-esteem,
Children now rejoice, reminiscing in Cinderella-dream,
Vying bliss of tranquil, endearments of amity redeem,
Discarding ill will, shrieking from yore of vicious regime.
Hiroshima, Nagasaki—echoes of sad, remorseful past,
Resonate horror and shock, from memories aghast;
A world without war, a wish too far, yet close to heart,
Achievable when covenants of life don’t keep us apart.
Dignity of humanity ranks supreme, as priorities change,
Nations engage in educational and cultural exchange,
Farms and factories hum, ensuring hunger is eliminated
As peace and unity toll, from hearts and minds elated.
The calm, composed Coconut Beach of Cambodia
Or the Galápagos Islands of sublime sereneness
Boats of quietude sail through the seas of Utopia.
Stream, brook, sunrise, sunset—nature's flowery floridness
The breathing of butterflies and the blooming of blossoms
Confessions of Cherubic Caves and Covenants of Clouds
Desert islands and deserted monumental chasms
Fancies of farms, fields, forests, fishes, flocking feathered fowls
Monasteries and museums in meditation moods
Readings of reeds, restings of reptiles, river reflections
Slow snake-skates, snowfalls, stargazing space-spa solitudes
Turtles and tortoises, all underwater attractions.
Sacrosanct silent scenes share stories splendid and sublime.
Like millions of melodies, within soul cells they always chime.
Eternally my God won’t change
He’s never changed; I know it’s true
His covenants don’t pass away
The things He promised, He will do
He’s not a man, that He should lie
Nor son of man, to change His mind
His righteousness forever stands
He’s always just and always kind
My eyes have seen His faithfulness
Have seen His steadfast love displayed
His promises to Israel
Have never failed, won’t ever fade
In Him all things are possible
He’s always strong; I trust His Word
When Yahweh speaks, in faith I cling
With confidence to all I heard
Though promises might seem far-fetched
Your faithfulness my hope shall be
For what could be more certain than
The words that You have promised me?
Father wants you to be brave,
He wants you to be bold,
Come with courage to His word,
Grab on and take hold!
Once you’ve got yourself in Him,
And He in you, You will find that in His love
There is nothing you can’t do!
This is the power of love and truth!
Oh the freedom, power, and light,
And courage to stand tall beside,
The One who gave all His life,
For all those who abide, in His delight!
Father’s Gift of Holy Spirit to guide you,
And blessings to freely give unto,
All those who enter into,
His way, through His covenants, which lift you.
Father commandeth all, everywhere,
To have faith in His Son, repent,
Be baptized, and graciously receive,
The confirming Gift of His Holy Spirit, sanctified.
Become as a little child, or ye can in nowise,
Enter into God’s glorious kingdom prize.
This is the core of Christ’s doctrine,
Built on the rock of revelation.
To learn what you must do,
And all that’s required of you,
Go often to God’s words, pray, study,
Ponder, and ask in faith and truth.
As marriages are made in heaven
God is our Matchmaker
Yet, they are worked out on earth!
Our families get their names from Him
As He is the stronger party
In this love triangle!
His covenant with us becomes
The overarching Covenant
That supersedes every
Other covenant in our lives!
He has promised to be the
Miracle Worker, the Way Maker
Who turns water into wine!
Something beautiful out of the ordinary
Where we become a sign and marvel
As families give thanks to God
Because of our life together!
Where God is the Head of our home
Where we become one and
A threefold cord is not easily broken!
Although our follies and fallacies
Can interfere, strain and stain!
Yet, God in His mercy stands ready
To renew and revive our covenant
With Him, our spouses, kith and kin!
Covenants are sealed forever with His Blood
And with His eternal plans and purposes
To bring happiness and gladness
On earth and in heaven!
My muse is gone,
good riddance to the witch
And don’t come back,
you extraneous lil b’itch
Off to prey on others,
pour napalm on their souls
Sublimate good poetry,
burn stanzas full of holes
Infiltrate kind minds,
corrupt joyous prayer
Tear apart covenants,
seed corrugated despair
Yeah my muse is gone,
in search of new hosts
To spread vile poison,
through every new post
I’m an angel once again,
deliverance fills each line
A paragon for good,
no more evil rhymes
Champion of the soup,
clear broth I’ll deliver
Served with fava beans,
Chianti, and my muses liver
