Future At Stake

I'm using this poem to explain,
How it is, I personally feel,
Living in this modern world today,
Speaking my truth, raw and real.

Even at my age I've seen,
Such a devastating amount of change,
But the fact we're still declining,
Is what I find most strange.

A colossal rise in living costs,
No sign of it going down,
Zero trust left in any leaders,
From the government to the crown.

The peoples voices have been silenced,
Too afraid to speak their mind,
Nothing but corrupt commanders in charge,
Acting selfish, forgetting to be kind.

I'm now living in a world,
It's shamefully popular to be fake,
Forever fighting over religion and money,
Putting our childrens future at stake.

Poppy Fields

Flying over the front lines
with the French Escadrille Lafayette
a brown and barren belt below
a strip of murdered nature and yet
during the warm months of spring and summer
seeds in the shattered ground would grow
delicate vibrant crimson flowers
in row after row after row
and in those poppy fields
that's how we remember them
all the fallen soldiers
those unforgotten gallant men
tho' Waterloo was won in a day
in a mad minute this battle was waged
while larks sang overhead in the month of May
four weeks and more it raged
before they beat the Hun had them on the run
it soon became apparent to the allied commanders
it's a long way from the playing fields of Eton
to the poppy fields of Flanders

Another Time Another Land

Perhaps in another time and in another land
We will watch the sunset, laughing
Hand in hand
In the cradle of a beautiful land

Far from strife
Far from reprimand
We, our own commanders
In the distant land

The longing comes from the great pain
Which both of us have suffered
O, beautiful dame
Alas, it was all in vain

For I am not coming back again
I don't wish to see you in pain
I am irreparable because of time and strain
Forgive me for giving you sadness once again

Engulf me in your love, My daffodil
Kiss me like sunlight, My sunflower
My pure, innocent Daisy
My Tulip I declare my love to you

THE VENOM BENEATH THE KISS

Never be swayed by a woman in need,
For "billing" is her constant creed.
"I'm hungry," "my gas is dry,"
Her words, a drain, a constant sigh.

Rescue not a woman from poverty's grasp,
For she'll seek escape, and leave at last.
Her heart, a calculator, cold and grey,
Values measured in economic way.

Survival tops feelings in her book,
A lady's love, a financial hook.
She seeks a man with deeper pockets still,
A richer partner, her heart's thrill.

No motherly love to nurture and mend,
Her regard for men, their financial trend.
Multiple suitors, a comparative game,
Her independence, a treasure to claim.

Few claim to help, but seek gain,
Interest and advantage, their aim.
Commanders, helpers, or so they say,
But men, beware, for you'll pay.

Men, work harder, be determined too,
Never look to a woman for help, 'tis true.
For in the end, it will go awry,
And leave you drained, with a heavy sigh.

For Pearl. Had to carry the can! From fiasco to disaster.'
Either didn't really plan' one trained 'guns willy nilly'
The other got caught' with terrible life tolls' all ships trapped
In port! So retribution was given (under maritime law) as I
Understand things? Anything else would be poor.' So what
Of the actions.? Of commanders in chief.? Should they
Endanger their charges, and their country in breif' can there be
No reprecussions? No treasonous charge? In my estimation i find (such a proposition) too hard' to hard for
Comprehension 'specially should there be willfull intent' in
Knowing of disaster yet never to relent.! I have heard so
Much of the gravitas of Admiralty law! Part of the base of
The governance for co-hesion and so much more.' If you're
Prime minister or even President grand' can you carry out crime withought compunction
Let treason be planned.? denigrate your own citizens? And
Care not one bit.' Cause murder and destruction yet think
You will not pay; not one whit..!

Premium Member The Oceans Live

Over the waters blue, the night winds sigh,
          the breakers roar.”
                    _ by Lord Byron

Beneath the moon, Earth's living oceans breathe
with pulsing tides and swells that rise and fall.
The iridescent blues on rolling waves
add mystery, as night winds echo sighs.

Large breakers roar and crash upon the shore
as gusty winds push forward frothy waves-
displaying unleashed power over land;
a force that dominates beyond control.

So like another world, our oceans seem-
with depths to places down below huge waves;
where creatures large and small in secret worlds
explore their universe- to us unknown.

What lies beneath of life we've never seen
or life that was- now buried deep below
where land was once- but seized by ocean's might;
commanders of this Earth- these oceans are.

Beyond our skies- unknowns bemuse our minds;
neath ocean waves rests knowledge still to come.
On land, we in the middle share a loss
in finding answers to these mysteries.

Premium Member Looking for Life on Planet Z783

three of our spaceships should have reach Planet Z783 by now
this report pleased Planet 3455X’s commander, Prime King Cow.
it had been twenty-six years since their spaceships had gotten through.
every inhabitant they saw back then was dressed in red, white and blue.
loud sounding explosions shot upwards and exploded into glitter too.
they are all talking about the fourth of July said their leader HooTwo.
team decided it meant that everyone had to wear red, white and blue.

this time all of the inhabitants were decorated with stars on their heads.
they have blinking red, purple, yellow, green lights one commander said.
everyone we speak to is totally mute too, it is almost as if they are all dead.
tiny colorful shapes are attached to them too said assistant commander Fred.
prime King Cow was disappointed, decided to try another planet next time.
he was looking for creatures who could converse in either writing or rhyme.
were they in the least bit friendly? He asked, giving himself a thread of hope.
the spaceship commanders shook their heads and replied back “um, nope.”

Poet and Commander Ndindi Lupeta Sadik In 19th Century, Story Poem

In my history  book title " African's Hidden Treasure"
There was a military commander who used to recite
his poems and sing songs on  trees in his gardens.
One day he organised a contest of women dancers

which cost his life few weeks after the competition.
He was accused to cheat with the woman champion
Because she got a big trophy than her competitors.
One of the jealous women propagated false news

Which frustrated the husband of the woman winner
And ended up shooting his colleague due to rumour.
The son of the dead poet and commander wanted
to pay revenge but his colleagues  rejected

that idea as they prepared to overthrow the king.
An affordable price  was setting according
to commanders agreement as they needed
more soldiers to aid them in the neighbouring land.

Years later on, they entered that land ; started fighting,
they won the war and the son of the poet became king.
he created the Yao Kingdom and Ndindi chiefdom for
the honour of his father who wanted to be king after war.

My Commanders In Chief

Many think this holiday honors all United States presidents we elect
But let me reflect
It is Washington’s birthday that we celebrate
It honors President Washington and President Lincoln as of late
Let’s see how they relate

Washington was a good ol’ lad
He was the best that America had
Unanimously elected to commander in chief
He gave colonists some hope and belief
Posthumously, promoted to a six-star general
That will forever remain unattainable
Presided over the Constitution writing
That must have been rather exciting
Unanimously elected as our first president for two terms
To which he affirms
Relinquishing his power
Setting a precedent for every successor

Lincoln was a prominent figure
During the Civil War
Another commander in chief
With a strong belief
His Emancipation Proclamation
To end slavery in our nation
He met his untimely demise
By a Confederate that did not sympathize

Both of these men deserve a day
For creating the country we know today
Though it is not perfect in any way
America is where I want to stay!

A Rattling Rhyme

I can't help but wonder, what am I supposed to wonder about?
Society has put certain rules into play, that I can seem to wrap my mind around.
To think a certain way, to speak a certain way.
And to do this with no question about why we are being controlled every single day.
So, what does the world want me to do now?
How am I supposed to wonder, if I don't know how?
When does the mind control end?
When will the people of this world get too unhinged?
Everyone needs help, but they are unaware that their thoughts are not individual.
Because society makes the mind control seem normal.
All people think the same. Fighting back is useless.
For how are we supposed to fight back if we are clueless?
Thus, the people need to know,
To beat evil, we need to grow.
Unite our minds, together we flourish.
To take down our commanders, means our minds will perish.
This is why the world has to resort to violence...
To bring our minds back to silence.

Premium Member Holidays With Uncle Dozer

One relative commanders every family meal
regaling us with stories we have heard
Six thousand times already.
They might have been interesting or funny at one time.
I do not remember that time.
Do we have to invite him? I ask people.
They are shocked. I am the bad one now.

Great Uncle Dozer never pauses for a drink or a bite.
He gobbles his food quickly,
So he can do all of the talking.
The rest of us are too socialized to try to butt in
After the thousandth try.
When he finally takes a breath
We all start talking at once,
Rudely and impolitely interrupting each other.
When we try to do that to him, he just gets louder.

This may be his last Christmas the grown-ups say,
Let’s be charitable. Let’s listen to him one more time.
Uncle Dozer is one hundred and six years old.
Not looking forward to Thanksgiving.

Napoleon Bonaparte
1769 Corsica is where he got his start
One of the greatest commanders in history
His manner of death a 200-year-old mystery

Napoleon played it close to the vest
With his armies he was always the best
But 'twas nothing he could do
When he met his Waterloo
Lived his last few years under house arrest

Napoleon drank the water and headed for the loo
He did nothing different than you or I could ever do
Be kind to your skin and protect your bone-a-parts
Remember that's where good hygiene starts!

Saragarhi Day

twenty one soldiers waited their fate
twenty one soldier's ready to defend
would give up their lives in the call
to keep the fort....not let it fall

the afghans invaded in great strength
the valiant sikh soldiers gave their all
sikhs in total killed 600 men ..gave their lives
when they answered the commanders call

this was a battle in 1869
battle of saragarhi was its name
a temple was built in 2003 ...to
commemorate their fame.

a movie called 21 Sikhs has been made, reminding all of the valiant Sikh soldiers
an insane battle 21 Sikhs against many hundreds of Afghans

Premium Member Great Evening Meal

Birds in midheaven flying all around
Soaring high then gliding down
Gazing with hunger upon the town
Instinctively knowing up from down
Observing unbridled spiritual breakdown

White horse and rider with august kingly crown,
Bright white, bloodstained flowing gown
To all birds an invitation did righteously resound
A great feast of kings and commanders showdown
A feast of strong and great after the takedown.

Birds in midheaven flying all around
Soaring high then gliding down
Pleasing the rider of supreme renown
Gazing with hunger upon each town
Great Evening Meal's final countdown
