It’s 6.43am,
I’m awaiting my train.
I tune into the station,
Listening to the invisible spring birds
Belting a Beltane call and response;
A syncopation in freewheeling jazz tracks.
Dipperty-dee, dipperty-dar,
Dipperty-dee, dipperty-dar,
I alight the shining lines,
Slide into my seat.
Watch the sun seep up and over rooves,
The rumble and tumble of the dustbin lorry,
Barking dogs,
People in a hurry,
Mobile but fixated by scrolling truths -
Reels of what's new, what's circumstantial,
And rolling news of worlds financial.
Woo-ah woo!
I'm borrowed fleeting glances
Of dolls house windows of toy town houses,
The click and flick of kettles
As the busyness of the new day blinks in.
Full steam ahead!
Clickerty-click, clickety-clack,
Clickety-click, clickety-clack.
Then a pause.
A beeperty-beep, and a whoosh of the doors
As they slide open.
An improvisation of passengers board,
Spilling into the carriages with costa-lot coffees,
Half full.
Commuting, suited and booted into the city.
Electricity!
With a murmuration, they're away from the station.
Dipperty-dee, dipperty-dar,
Dipperty-dee, dipperty-dar,
the old klunker was my friend
he lasted till the end
clickety click
clickety click
i'd sit back feeling free
words would come to me
i'd have my glass of wine
a sip at every line
the images would soar
until they could no more
clickety click

Hush the whisperer is exhaling his/her sighs
whispering softly, words barely heard --
to horses
"Keep calm, big fella, I dig Yah, don't daggle the reins"
to dogs
"Down boy, down, wag Ya tail if you understand, shake hands, good boy, good boy"
to loved ones
"I love You", sweet nothings, blushed with air kisses
to lions
"Why can't you purr, Yah big kitty cat"
to whales
"Cickety click, clickety click "
to dolphins
"Tweets, tweet, click" whistles in bubbles and rattly chatter ticks"
to elephants
"Let's play forget me knots, again"
to aliens
"Get Ya AI to look up 64"
Prepossessing pair liquefy as a still river’s exquisite glaze ~
An undercurrent ripples in the lazy meander to ply compliance
Yellow tones of twilight seep slowly, warming a cold demeanor
These two play in crepuscular light, ensconced in downy fur
Wearing black and white, is moonlit night,
only half-lit, as unfolding dawn's fawn, denigrates the dark...
Proportionate seconds rake nails in a rhythmic clickety-click
Long strokes make feasible winged flight, high with the half-moon:
a cogent straight-cut through a curve of semi-shiny symmetry
Yielding to heat, dews exuberant, deluge chilled lungs and fog river’s gaze ~

Clique click clickety-click
If you are liked group acceptance is quick
Clique click clickety-clack
Upset one, knives felt in your back
Clique click clickety-clock
Whispering messages sent round the block
Clique click clickety-cluck
Recreant bullies deliberate destruct
Clique click clickety-click
Treacherous two-faced hypocrites
Speak up against one when one attacks you
They'll group together the bully gang crew
They follow like sheep to try to seem cool
Encouraging each other, each torturing tool
Lecture on righteousness, go against it themselves
Bullies own egos stacked high on their shelf
Clever smart answers to try and impress
Wilful nastiness they will not suppress
Pushing, goading with a poisonous tongue
Septic words spoken that can't be undone
Negative words tightens noose round a neck
Friends and families mourn their own dead
Why batter and beat to control and feel strong?
When most know its wicked and morally wrong
No bullying, no tears, no victims to suffer
Kindness, respect - no pain to another.

Clickety-click, Clickety-clicks,
Maggie and Sharon are 66.
Friends forever, there whenever,
It's always fun when they're together.
Tickety-tick, Tickety-tock,
Time to share, no need for a clock.
Happy days roll on and on, there's
Time for a picnic, time for a song.
Clickety-click, Clickety-clack,
Runaway trains never turn back.
They rattle along their rollicking line,
Friendships eternal, always divine.
Clickety-click, Clickety-clunk,
Wine for us both - not that we're drunk!
Gorgeous girls just grew & grew,
Two wonderful women turn 1-3-2.

Strappy white sandals with heavy heels
Clicking on the hood of his
1959 Pink Cadillac with the pink tailfins
Tappy Tappy Tap Tap Tap
If you think I am cute, your eyes can clap
Clickety Clickety Clickety Click. I am darling. My smile so thick.
He is sixteen, totally enthralled,
Ignoring the fact that his pride and joy car
will never be the same
It is our first date
I still have this pair of strappy clickety clack sandals
The ones I used to dance in the moonlight showing my cuteness
The ones that made his sixteen-year-old heart go pitter pat
I still have him too, and this was 1967 so….
What do you think of that?

Lost sounds that call a memory to life
Loose change jingling in the pockets of children.
Baseball cards riffling in the spokes of a bicycle.
The clack-clack of roller skates over sidewalk cracks.
The clickety-click of a stick dragging along a picket fence.
The baying of backyard dogs seeking freedom.
The mournful moan of slippers sliding over a creaky floor.
The gleeful crunch of leaves under shuffling feet.
The whispered call of a windblown dove.
Voices swallowed by the silence of fresh snow.
The feeble flapping of a tree bound plastic bag.
The off key joy of Christmas carolers.

Dear dear John John is my bestest friend
We clickety click every morn before ten
He's quick as a wit wit
Great lims lims he emits
He's about to take over, what'll I do do then
Solitude
poem
Lionel Derbyshire
Silently the words
Tell me something
What am I feeling
No yelling .. only
Picture's rolling by
A mute is broken
And thoughts
Are rolling in
Of broken times.
New days are comin ..
With new cravings.
Gone by midnight's
Are replaced by
That awful creepy sleep
Feared and loathed.
Then the little voice speaks
Tommorow is another day.
Talk in solitude
With great exclamations
To feel distinctively
The warm up
In sounds of silence
This comfort of solitude.
Silhouettes, blending and beating
Rhyming right ..
Clickety click .. click
Clickety clack .. clack
Clickety tick .. tick.
Chat chat
The cricket
Sing song of mumble
Hum alone.
Must not be boring
And shine like
Twinkle twinkle
Too whoo wee doo
Too whoo wee doo
Voices in harmony
The midnight owl
Strumming inside ..
Hateful phone ringing ..
Grumble ..
Miserable log.
" Hope nobody died. "
Solitude gone ..
Was good in the cleft
And left alone.
Walking along the busy street
the crowds mingle so fully free
attention grabbers out in force
camera's at the ready all to see
Nowadays mobile phones do everything
even taken a picture is all the rage
clickety click non stop all the time
our grandparents would think it strange
But now there's new modern trend
take a picture of yourself, you mean me!
hold it at your front turn it around
press it with finger it's you no fee!
This smacks of arrogance so full
little old me I really love so much
such foolishness filling one's self
no humility there not even a touch
Do these selfies know they've one life
only one to live here and then they die
next comes divine and holy judgement
their pics then will perish where they lie!
I love the way you walk in your stilettos
The clickety click sound of your heels
The seductive sway of your hips
And the luring gaze that appeals
But when you walk softy
That is what I love the best
As your stilettos cover new territories
Across my bony chest
Oh the view my Soupies the view
Of man’s weakness I do stare
But never trust a woman in stilettos
As your bit lay unattended and bare.
Uhhhhhhhh!
