World Of Heartlessness

The world is a hard and cold place to be 
It’s chilled the hearts of many who’ve dwelled
This earth has a multitude relentless demons 
Wanting chaos spread and decency expelled 

These demons will stop at absolutely nothing 
Their only purpose is to execute Satans plan
Satan I believe is choosing this ships course 
While we are

Waving

Troughing and cresting 
Cresting and troughing 

Going down a bit, to rise up 
Feeling the jolt but not yielding to the trough 

Riding through and roughing it 
Steady on the board and rising through it 

Not staying low for long 
Just riding through, sturdy and strong 

Gathering momentum to catch another crest,
Owning the board, rising

Awaken Screaming

     confusion slips into our beds
        games the minds of gentle heads

     twists familiars to never-beens
        personas dark mask every scene

     far away from hearth and home
  

The Life I’ll Change

I walk through the world everyday,
Continuously wondering if my purpose is to change a life.
But what life might I be sent to change?
Will I altar the eyes of my husband when I become a wife?

Maybe if I show my mother there’s good in the world, 
She won’t be so afraid of letting me go.
Or if

Head Over Heels

How can I tell if you really care?
How can I know you'll always be there?
There've been so many times in the past
I've had relationships that didn't last.
I don't know if I can go through this again,
I'm not sure that it's worth all that pain.
I managed to keep all the others at bay.
I even found that

Imagination

Clouds of many forms, shifting in the sky,
Fading in and out, quietly passing by.
Seeing floating forms in full animation,
Requires a reset of mind’s vibration.

For one must look deeply beyond mere sight,
To see all the shapes in the dark and light.
Open channels of imagination,
Now you recognize the mind’s creation.

Cloud after cloud they begin to connect,
You still

On Becoming Obsolete

Shall we once more, in mountains of our thought,
Gaze down upon the vastness of our ground,
And know that for the meadows newly sought,
The flowering fields shall not by us be found?
Shall we recall that bronze took place of stone,
And then in turn to iron did yield its way;
That ships of sail no more the oceans

Expect the unexpected

Life changes come in little increments
along a fated journey fraught with twists and turns.

But once in a while
changes come on sudden and dramatic
like the day you passed away.

A fatal blow ~
the instant when I became unwhole
a widow
a casualty of love.

There is no excuse you see
I'm neither an R or a D
I think best are spaces
although different places
on things we both can agree.

Why, then such a divide
it seems like the prevailing tide
storms of emotions
are churning our oceans
its time for calming those sea's.

Its best when coming together
changing clouds to sunny weather
don't be tied to a letter
let's

When My Life Changed

There’s a little log cabin, nestled by a big, fur tree.
It’s the place that my daddy built, before there was me.

It’s the warm cosy place, the place where I was born,
He made a little wooden cradle with carving to adorn.

The colorful wooden blocks daddy made when I was one.
He would pile then up for me

So, You Study?

Tired, nervous—went for viva,
He thought I was calm and wiser.
The observer smirked, then eyed,
"So, You Study?"—I just sighed.

Change

I don't remember the date,
But I remember the season.

There was no great quake.
There was no visible pain.

But deep inside of me,
There was a great change;

Not from alcohol; nor from drugs.
I had not hit rock bottom,

But while still a 14 year old,
There was a change in my soul.

The trajectory of my life, like
A friegth train, switched

The evening news lulls me into a nightmarish sleep. 

In the distance ominous, greenish-colored storm clouds are brewing. I hear the rolling thunder of division and dissonance. On the horizon I see lightning bolts igniting fiery hatred. The storm rolls in.  Muscular columns of darkened clouds and densely pelting rain

A Place Of Sanity Sought

When the mind stops, blank without thought,
It goes to a place of sanity sought.
For sanity is to chaos’ distain,
That place where silence and calm are gain.

It’s from this place of quiet and calm,
That peace can bring a healing balm.
As soothing as a soft cool breeze,
This time of peace will surely please.
