Between Here And Eternity



      Coffee, that invigorating liquid
      changes occur between each sip
      – relish the rich taste
      Life, that chronologically dimensional timeline
      between here and eternity

      The battle garb of the ages is in constant motion
      revolutionary – a curvature of time, a drastic alteration

      An immediate recognition
      the poison that has accumulated within our souls
      If eternity is an afterthought
      something that follows the present moment
      – then what is the true reality?
      It is time to remember who we are
      j u s t i f i c a t i o n

Wow dear Anne-Lise, this left my soul stirred and speechless somehow! How it started with the sip of coffee and grew wings that took one beyond transcendence and timelessness! I love the questions that you've evoked here and their meaningful depth with such a philosophical pulse ~ "the poison that has accumulated within our souls If eternity is an afterthought something that follows the present moment – then what is the true reality?" Sigh, if only we could remember who we are. Great writing! Profound. It is all about consciousness -- truth is, there is no space between, then, here, future and eternity. We just don't see it all at once...as God sees it. Someday humanity will.

Mmmmm! Anne-Lise, A battle cry for survival to the end! The imagery, especially as the poem opens, is itself DELICIOUS. Coffee!!! Entrancing, the balanced comparison of sipping the universal enlivening elixir to the invigorating, every moment wake up calls as we move toward ??? The structure is both rhythmic and intense.
