Prone Alone

Used and discarded thought shadows lurk
at every sunrise as if each were renewed.
A touch from the fading past, in a moment
as i look at the wet pebbles, ever decreasing.
Welcoming the receding tide, a caressing breeze
on which floats, the busy two tone oyster catcher.
On that breeze voice’s travel, voice's calling out
over the relentless, out going, in coming waves.
Are we all but driftwood ? Leaving to return
when the gorse flower is yellow in rare sunlight.
Maybe rudderless, in a firm belief and trust,
of our hearts compass, and its choice is free.
Be elusive ! Leave no trace, be faceless in
milling throngs and crowds, not out of place.
Perhaps a living phantom, amongst many,
yet never carless in your constant carefree.
Blend into the background, be seamless.

Heartless with one’s heart heart, I speak where does the words go? Do they evaporate within carless whispers released in the wind constantly being repeated or rewind, recycled. If no one cares responses, heartless, cold as if one’s heart is engraved in stone beyond apprehension.

New Wings

Flirty feels forced, awkward,
like day old bread trying to pass.

Serious feels to vulnerable,
to many secrets are likely to unfold
before the wings dry for flight.

The vulnerable moment where so little
can crash the delicate wings and
end the life that’s only just come to its own.

A windy day can mean death.
A carless grab can knock the dust from the wings
and end the dance before it begins.

What perfection,
what combination of Karma is required,
for dreams to take flight?

The Healing

These rough and wrinkled hands hold a gentleness
the smooth hands of youth, carless and untrained, miss.
The knowledge she holds has yet to be transferred,
and her young companion has yet to ripen.

Knowing when to slice open the putrid flesh,
when to cover and protect the tender reborn skin
is a skill hard come by through often lethal mistakes.
A toughening is required that only scaring can cause.

Her eyes can look upon the forest floor,
smelling out the needed balm to sooth,
honing in on subtle scents
that careless youth would overlook.

She trains her student, watching flower grow fruit,
a wisdom of spirit required for the art.

The Bones

The bones of the matter,
pieces chipped by the harsh reality of life
and aged by the winds of time.

Some have become petrified,
dried out and turned to delicate lace.
Others are more substantial.
Cluncky, oddly shaped, jagged edged, and smooth lined,
intermingled in a tangle of stories to tell.

They lie dry and dusty, no temporal flesh
in which to hide its strength or frailty.
These bones have been kicked and scattered
by a million carless feet that never looked or slowed down
on their way to something distant that caught their eye.

The Wild Fades Blue

Fading deepest blue
cherry blossom storm falling
cleansing deepest wounds

Wind blows crystal rain
rain cascades carless droplets
garden bloom sweet jade

Stillness sharpens blade
mountains fade magenta skies
seas swell angry waves

I Love You More

Your my dinner date
white-cheesey mac and cheese
Mommy don't forget
my not-too-hot-green-sweet peas

game nights and holidays
when I get to be the hostess
are kept next-best to
Mommy I love you the mostest

when money's tight
and the hot rod leaves us carless
I pull myself together
to reply, I love you the farthest

you wanna dance Mom?
we are the flyest
swing spin twirl
Mommy I love you the highest

music and boogy
burdens become their lightest
I've got you this time
I love you the brightest

"get dressed" I say and say and say
these underwear are clean Mom
I just put them on
yesterday

to myself I often think
small is how I wish for you to keep
but then you'd never grow or know
that my love for you runs deep

when you're hurt tired or hungry
Your need for me is clear
I love that I'm the one you ask
Mommy will you wipe my tear

bedtime stories snuggles hugs and kisses
you ask will I stay up the latest
and keep competing
Mommy I love you the greatest

kiss your head rub your back
and tell you get some rest
Mommy I still love you more
but Grandma is the best

Taking a Little Bit of Kindness

Asking you to be you
Because you are seeming a little blue
Carless from life, taking into mind
Doesn't that keep you on time!
Even though you have been a leaving,
Freedom has brought you back to my door
Geese laid their eggs, right by your sore
Heaven knows why you come back
I just open up the store
Joyful you come ,at last
Kindly I give you some cash
Loving the way words roll off your tongue
Mindless to say they
Never did they want you to stay
Obviously they said the rudest things
Politeness was not one of their ways
Quizzing you solely
Respect has got take away
Sadly beating you just so you have a place to stay
Time has seemed it will take forever
Under the weather is the
Vases of the loved feathers
Why you seek to get a hold
Xerox is not in
Your behold
Zig- zagging is your only way you would be sold

Puberty

if the boy did not return from the rhineland
he remained social and loquacious
he versed in music and was quite ambidextrous
his toy airplanes glittered in the sand
he lost his footing, he showed his hand
he sought to be carless and frivolous
his senses remained extemporaneous
he listened carefully for the iron gland
his gift was not to be unfounded
his turn was never to be
at long last, he finally did blossom
though lonely and confounded
to the flames of woe in the sea
his mind was wretched, among the flotsam and jetsam.

A Foolish Love Goin

Wish their was a better day so far away
Tired of this pain with it I can not gain
Feelings of hurt an pain I feel like the rain
Wish this hart would heel but it shows the way I feel
Inbound with hurt I'm dieing inside no one knows it but me
Why do bear this pain like a foul you walk out
Of my life an hart never caring no doubt
I love you I shall move on with out
Maybe better maybe not with out you is what it is
I shalt no more break you made me weak
I shall stand bold no more you carless hart will leave me cold
I'm better than that no more fret no more tears
But I really can't see how you left after all these years
So here's to goodbye to you an the hurt you caused
I found someone new I'm goin to set here an drink a few here the middle finger
An I'm thru with you

 Thanks Tim Kelley

Green and Blue

Fish swam in blue waves of cotton candy
Carless gulps of salty ocean
Tails whipping through chocolate sea
Sweet as a rice crispy treat
Mindless beauties beneath the land
Squishy scales under quick sand
While dinosaurs chant for reincarnation
Butterflies flutter in several mazes
Carrying souls from eras beneath to
Timeless eras above to retreat

Look Me In the Eyes

Look me in the eyes and judge me by my heart.
Don't determine me by my cover before you even start.
To get to know my feelings you must know that I
Will never be the same after the day that he died.

Don't consider me as "emo" before you comprehend
That I am nearly close to tears as I write this with my pen.
He was very special to me and I don't want to cry but
I will never be the same after the day that he died.

Please don't push me or shove me or call me names
Or force razor blades and knives in my dreary haze
Of something you can call my face.

I may look goth or punk or emo but under the makeup and clothes
I'm just a sad kid; depressed that her grandfather died from carless smokes
And careless drinks that he made too often
because he felt cool, I guess (heaven only knows why)
My grandfather died

Carless Memory

only came inside to get shelter from the rain
you were standing at the bar
blonde hair and a smile a flashin right through the room
duke box playin out a tune

lights down now come alive set the floor alight
drum n base and salsa loud
smoke screen apearing now
and there you are calling out my name
screaming out my name

calling out my name

so easy to disturb the night air with a whisper
let alone the sound system from hell
so hard to find love if its not there
to rely on a carless memory

outside the rain still is pours down
unaware that its time to move on
head in hand i move towrds the doorway
until the touch of her on me bring me back

lights down now come alive set the floor alight
drum n base and salsa loud
smoke screen apearing now
and there you are calling out my name
calling out my name

Oh Those S Is

Just a few warning words,
On what it feels like,
While drivin' down the road,
Waitin' for the strike,
Don't know when it's comin',
Or where it's comin' from,
Keep your eyes open,
No relaxin' or ho-hum,
Not to worry one'll show,
Drivin' fast weavin' 'round,
Carless route they a goin',
Maybe soon upside down,
Drivin' like they own the road,
Switchin' lanes wreckless too,
No concern life or limb,
Someone soon will turn blue,
Expect S-Is anytime,
While a crusin' in your car,
They'll speed by in a flash,
You won't have to go far,
Curious now what's S-I,
Just two words it does fit,
Nothing more will I say,
Stupid Idiot.....
