This is a serious question,
I don't want to cause a stink,
but how can you really tell
when you're out of invisible ink?
Scientists ask great questions.
They don't do it for a lark.
We know about the speed of light
so, what's the speed of dark?
The car mechanic called me
while I was eating some clam chowder.
He said I can't fix your brakes,
so I made your horn louder.
The paranormal world is fascinating,
it really is so grand.
All those who believe in psychokinesis:
go ahead and raise my hand.
I remember when the candle shop burned down.
The firemen arrived without delay.
Everyone in the crowd stood around
and started singing Happy Birthday.
I like to watch new movies.
They often start the latest trends.
But if Barbie is so popular,
why do you have to buy her friends?
I have failed at many things.
Often times I've cried.
If at first you don't succeed,
destroy all evidence that you tried.
Life is one great big adventure.
It's all about what we do.
So, if at first you don't succeed,
then skydiving's not for you.
The other people
At the local supermarket, today, a day out for lesbians
or so it seemed by their provocative attitude
Not that I mind, but one has to be wary not to look
at them, they take umbrage and become aggressive.
Why should I be involved with a muscular car mechanic?
Dressed in a summer frock.
It gives me a bitter pleasure to see how the western
world will end up eradicating humanity.
Once I met an actor who said he loved me, a bit awkward
nevertheless, it is touching to be liked.
Hadn’t he died of cancer, who knows? we might have
ended as two elderly men looking out for each other.
Chris was born on 9th July in 1993,
And he fights every day in training,
At the British Judo Centre in Walsall,
A Centre of Excellence, producing.
He lost his job as a car mechanic,
Through his ocular albinism diagnosis,
But now trains with determination,
Professionally, to win the Paralympics.
Competing in the -100kg category,
Chris won three bronzes as a junior,
Then at the Scottish Open in 2014,
Won the gold; Welsh Senior, a silver.
At the Euros in Portugal in 2015,
He won bronze against a Russian,
And in Seoul, still 2015, the Worlds,
He took bronze: a Rio Paralympian.
Simon used to take part in motocross,
Before his bike stalled once mid-air,
When he was training on his farm land,
Which left him paralysed waist down.
He was born in 1982 on the 7th June,
And having fought back from that day,
In 2001 when he did dance with death,
He now races the Marathon T52/53/54.
He most often competes alongside Weir,
But worries about safety combinations,
Because safety issues can concern him,
And the Zika virus was a scare, quite big.
He lives in Maryport but trains in Carlisle,
At the Sheepmount Stadium to neatly chat,
With olympians Tom Farrell and Nick Miller,
Who he knows to be top athletes, class.
Dr Ian Thompson, Tanni Grey’s hubby,
Who trained this fantastic legendary idol,
Also trains Simon by propelling, pushing,
Him to muscle on further and further.
In 2015 he did brave to firmly complete,
The Great North Run, the half marathon,
When he won the silver in the T53 class,
And he works as a car mechanic by day.
I`m Sailing
I was sailing along the coast of Greenland the sea was
as green as empty Port Wine bottles when
a storm struck it was a fully automatic boat I batted down
the hatches went below fastened the seat belt and wait.
Before I knew it, I was in a tranquil bay in Portugal and made
breakfast scrambled and bacon, but I was vaguely unhappy
everything has become so automatic that adventures of
daring do had become an everyday occurrence the vessel
had even found the best anchorage with
the best view.
I sold the boat to a doctor who had dreamt a seafaring life
away from hospitals and nagging wife, as a child he had
wanted to be a car mechanic but his parents wouldn`t hear
about it nor his fiancé; a malcontent man who was about to
discover the boredom on the high sea.
I bought a mule that cannot be trusted it doesn`t like people
and every morning it is a struggle to get it to move forward
when I plough my little patch of land
The Gay Community
At the local supermarket today, there was a day out for lesbians
and so it seemed. Not that I mind, but one has to be careful
where to look this third sex can be aggressive if they feel or think
someone disapprove of their display of public affection,
why should I be involved with a muscular car mechanic, but it gives
me a bitter pleasure to see how the Western world will end up
eradicating itself. Once I met an actor who said he loved me, it was
touching, yet awkward, nevertheless it is nice to be liked and we
became good friends, but he died, cancer gobbled him up, we could
ended up as two old men looking out for each other.
Prayer
Let prays
Always like the
preacher man say
Pray always is
What I was thought
From my youth
In the temple
Here I wonder
What kind of prayer
This men pray
A doctor
What will be the prayer
Of a doctor if it hospital
Is empty and he runs out of
Money?
A lawyer
What is a prayer of a
Lawyer when he got no
Case to defend and runs out
Of money to ford his bills?
A car mechanic
What will be the prayer of a car
Mechanic when his work shop is
Empty with no customer?
A prostitute
What kind of prayer do a prostitute
Say when the men are no longer
Coming?
A criminal
Who kind of prayer does a criminal
Say when he got no one to cheat and even when he got a lot already cheated on?
A politician
I wonder if he pray for
Any one apart from himself
Yet he prays
A robber
I wonder what will be his
Prayer every morning
He woke up from bed
On and on
Oh prayer is good
they say
Yet the man that pray so much
Is either not the best
For so many call on god
Yet don't know god
While Few never does or rather
Pray so much but fear god
For every mind prays
With an intention
As focus is only but
Prayer
The Conversation
I sat on the roof reading a book
and eating a banana.
But as the day progressed
I got hungry and
tried to get down by climbing
up and over a low wall onto
the kitchen terrace.
Legs wouldn´t let me.
In the struggle I lost the book
it ended on the road face up.
My neighbour came
helped me over the wall and asked:
“What were you doing?
“I was reading Jose Saramago
In Portuguese and I read slowly.”
“Well, it is ok then.” He said
“But I didn´t like him he was
a communist and ex car mechanic
went to live in Spain after
winning the big literary prize.”
Music Lesson
My uncle died, was on holiday in Piraeus,
a pig fell off a balcony.
He left a piano and since his wife didn’t
want it in her house, mother took it,
only because it would lend an impression
of high culture,
no one else in our neighbourhood had one.
I played on it day and night,
picked up tunes on radio and played
them on the piano;
people where impressed, mother too,
but she needed her rest worked long hours
at a fish canning factory.
One day, coming home from school,
a big empty space,
I cried mother gave me Danish pastry,
they were a day old but still tasty.
I’m glad she sold the piano, though I might
have ended up a restaurant pianist
driving from town to town playing evergreens
as background music for bored diners;
a bitter pianist who dreams of
becoming a car mechanic.
car mechanic and obessor
rude
