The Humour of Stephen Wright - The Sequel

This is a serious question,
I don't want to cause a stink,
but how can you really tell
when you're out of invisible ink?

Scientists ask great questions.
They don't do it for a lark.
We know about the speed of light
so, what's the speed of dark?

The car mechanic called me
while I was eating some clam chowder.
He said I can't fix your brakes,
so I made your horn louder.

The paranormal world is fascinating,
it really is so grand.
All those who believe in psychokinesis:
go ahead and raise my hand.

I remember when the candle shop burned down.
The firemen arrived without delay.
Everyone in the crowd stood around
and started singing Happy Birthday.

I like to watch new movies.
They often start the latest trends.
But if Barbie is so popular,
why do you have to buy her friends?

I have failed at many things.
Often times I've cried.
If at first you don't succeed,
destroy all evidence that you tried.

Life is one great big adventure.
It's all about what we do.
So, if at first you don't succeed,
then skydiving's not for you.

Hello Jim, your witty sequel had me laughing out loud! The clever one-liners and absurdist observations channel Wright's genius. From invisible ink to the "speed of dark", you masterfully set up the punchlines. And the twisted logic of the candle shop fire? Brilliant! Your comedic timing and way with words are top-notch. This sidesplitting sequel is a tour de force of humor writing. Well played, sir! - Blessings, Daniel

Thank you very much, sir. You honour me with your generous praise. I'm so glad that I was able to bring laughter to your day (of course, I can only take a small part of the credit - the rest belongs to Mr. Wright). Take care. Jim

You are welcome, sir. Glad I was able to give you a chuckle or two, but of course most of the credit has to go to Mr. Wright! Take care, Jim
