Premium MemberOn the Near Edge of Seventy

I'm on the near edge of seventy
and I wonder if I've lost my destiny.

Did I I waste too much time on foolish things
like envy, jealously and those many brass rings.

Was being good quite good enough
to cancel out the evil done when times got rough?

Sometimes I collected honey,
sometimes I ran after money.

Sometimes I was held with strings,
sometimes I was given wings.

If after that the Lord don't call my bluff,
I'll have the golden angel halos to buff.

My Butterfly Girl

My butterfly girl
By Michelle Morris
17/04/2023

You're my butterfly girl
And I think of you each day
I love and miss you so
Through all my tears and heartache

Every time I see a butterfly
I love it when it's near
It reminds me that you're close
And it's your sweetest message

I am struggling with your passing
The pain just ebbs and flows
I wish you could be back here
To give us a chance to know

What our life could've been
If you had stayed around
All those daily moments
That people take for granted

I know you're trying to help
With God's precious Angels
Their hugs and healing soothes
But can't cancel out the heartbreak

I'm trying to do my best
Keeping busy with being human
But there are days I hear the clock ticking
And I feel the time is too much to use

You'll always be my butterfly girl
And I'll think of you each day
Remember that I love and miss you so
Through all my tears and heartache

You're smiling down from Heaven
I feel your love and light and healing
You'll always be my butterfly girl
My darling sweetheart beyond earth

Nunc Perpetuum

Shrinking time down
to a factor of one
The future and past
cancel out zero-sum
The moment, this instant
the only thing real
Unmasking the present
—nothing left to conceal

Pure Heart

For the heart to be pure ,
to me is to be honest and sincere .
And that starts with the person in the mirror .without malice or  evil intent but being divine like a heavenly sent.
Putting ego aside and knowing the true beauty that inhabits inside .
having that lovers love seeing beauty in all loving all imperfections even the flaws. where the littlest miracles even leave you in awe.
not afraid to show emotion, knowing everyone is one, just like the ocean.
see that everything is grand even the broken .
Know that we are all the key the golden token.
And can spread love so vast , but delivering it softspoken.
and have faith that there's no limit on love so need for hoping.
no need to compete or have someone to beat, cancel out cheat and bless what you eat.
and most importantly dance to the rhyme of that beautiful pure heart beat.

Broken Fields

Diminished and threatened, is our liberty
A failed design that’s promoting Mutiny
Anarchy is rising,
From dust they are born and into dust they will fall

A Nation in darkness, by symptoms of fear
Eluded by systems, that dictate what appears
Lost in the meaning, of living free
What’s to become? What’s to become of me?

Like broken fields, under the rain
We sprout back to life, we rise from the grave
Unite under standards, to reclaim our dream
A Nation for freedom , this is our chance to see

To resurrect our values, fight for our believes
Cancel out corruption, rediscover honesty
Denouncing their evil, for generations yet to be

The Media controlling, honesty is gone
Brainwashing the public, now reap what you have sown
Education is failing, modern day slaves
The future is nay, this I guarantee

Like broken fields, under the rain
We sprout back to life, we rise from the grave
Unite under standards, to reclaim our dream
A Nation for freedom , this is our chance to see

Trespassing Virus

Pious observation
of my private property
ought to keep it
beyond the sign
'all strangers are welcome'
which was put on in
four languages before
the rampage.
Does it speak English
and should I try sign language?
Drifting further from my mind,
desperate, out of breath, is
the sign of God that pointed me
to the righteous path, lost
in the fog of moment, the
labyrinthine disconnections
and the void in between.
Tonight my faith is
sleeping alone, yet something
is grabbing its attention,
my need to keep it close
something warm to grab
and keep going with
my epic struggle to put up
a new sign on my lawn:
Coronavirus Not Welcome.
Fugitive thoughts cancel out
fear.

The Depressed Composer

In a note, in a thousand dots
In a row, a few lines,
Can this creator create a tone,
To hit the right spots, by soft and hard strokes-
Making the depression begone?

The composed rhythm to cancel out
All this gloom, that in the mind is so loud.
It's loud and quiet!, I have no power to move,
Feed my ears, oh dear hands!
With this lovely tune.

Banish this depression won't you?

Never

Never let intelligence
Get in the way of good judgment
Never let excuses
Inside your dreams
Never let the refusals
Cancel out the invitations
Never let tomorrow
 —destroy today

Nugget For Humility

Today I undertake to put on the highest cloak of humility.
To consider myself as an offshoot of Grace.
To act in the lowest denomination of pride.
As much as place other before me in love,
to place every human above my one unit cell of self.
To uphold the pre-eminence of Christ while He increases as I decrease.
I pledge to cancel out all forms of carnal competition which births in the me envy and pride.
And rest in the only favor our Lord supreme places in my realm.
I have decided to bend low to life and in life.
So that His strength will pull me on to honor, glorified in His righteousness.
I therefore declare, that I am nothing without Him and need His sufficiency to add flesh to my inadequacies.
I will let God completely have His way.
For if God claims me in my state of genuine pure humility, He will work it all out Himself,
As He is the one who works in me to do His good will and pleasure.

Black and White - White and Black

Black and White – White and Black

Blinded by a
Lack of compassion
Alone on a silent
Corner watching
Kindness take
A back seat as
Needless prejudice
Drives division
Why does it always
Have to be
Insisted that we
Take sides,
Either…or

When we are all
Human beings
Individuals’ maybe
Though still the same
Existing
Amongst each other
Not a color
Different shades of skin
But people who
Live, love and learn, so please
Accept one another
Cancel out hate
Know peace

Something Beautiful

I need something beautiful
To cancel out this stress
I need to fill a void too big
I’ve become such a mess

Everything I do I can feel
The empty cold blistering loss
Was where I put my energy
Really worth what it cost

My dreams are dissolving
Before my very feet
All I can do is watch
And take the ultimate defeat

Please I need something beautiful
To help to calm me down
Anxiety pours from my veins
I am so misfortune bound

No I do not need pity
For I shall always fight
But so many losses
Makes you start to wonder what’s right

Shivers creep down my spine
From horrors I’ve endured
Some things you can never get over
And some can never be cured

Please please I need something beautiful
To show me there is still hope
Is this life worth living
Will I ever be able to cope

I can look no further
For it is time for me to see
Something much more beautiful
Than this life could ever be.

Life and Death

Many plan to live for ever
But can only try
Death always visits
No matter how hard we cry

Faith in longevity is ill-judged
Life spans vary
Time rolls by
One day we are welcomed
Another we have to say goodbye

To be distressed about death
Is to want to go on and on
None can out last the end
The biggest question is WHEN

Living and dying are twins
That cancel out each other
Only one can take the stage
But they are eternal bedfellows

The only truth we know
Is that we who live must die
This is our only steadfast truth
Any other idiom is a lie

When we are stone cold
That’s when life stops
An obvious statement
That the daily grind of living cannot forget

Three score ten?
That’s a myth from way back then
You are here one minute
And gone the next
All before you live
The life you thought best

Death is here to stay
It outlives the now
It cannot be bribed
It cannot be bargained with
It just takes as it sees fit
Luckily it only comes
After you have lived

Cancelled

We’ve CANCELLED your job
Immediately
but you have been renewed
to enter a field with a better aim
to CANCEL out your dated brain
to secure you with a daunting task
to invalidate your former mask
of a 9 to 5 mentality
and learn to speak with authority
This is your desk and here’s your job
to remove employees with finality
and CANCEL paid leave temporarily
make this your credo diligently
starting with Mr. Adderley
and when you have reached one seventy
we'll have replenished our money finally
and your job will be CANCELLED
Immediately

Imagine

Imagine
Looking with eyes
All events, everything
From a viewpoint
A perspective that sees all
The broadest spectrum
On a universal scale
Natural, black and white,
If there was a finite
Amount of energy existing
In the womb that is space
Without the influence of fictitious forces
The universe is static,
But if gravity was rather antimatter
Drawing upon and absorbing matter
Producing energy as it does,
Energy and material are interchangeable
With no deviation from the constant 0
Everything seems to cancel out in the end
But time is relative
From a universal perspective
There is no starting point and no end
To a cyclical event,
Matter and antimatter exploding Into
Existence, then snuffing each other out
Would I be wrong of the conclusion
In stating god is energy?
We are in Gods image
Not as humans,
But all life...
