My Butterfly Girl

My butterfly girl
By Michelle Morris
17/04/2023

You're my butterfly girl
And I think of you each day
I love and miss you so
Through all my tears and heartache

Every time I see a butterfly
I love it when it's near
It reminds me that you're close
And it's your sweetest message

I am struggling with your passing
The pain just ebbs and flows
I wish you could be back here
To give us a chance to know

What our life could've been
If you had stayed around
All those daily moments
That people take for granted

I know you're trying to help
With God's precious Angels
Their hugs and healing soothes
But can't cancel out the heartbreak

I'm trying to do my best
Keeping busy with being human
But there are days I hear the clock ticking
And I feel the time is too much to use

You'll always be my butterfly girl
And I'll think of you each day
Remember that I love and miss you so
Through all my tears and heartache

You're smiling down from Heaven
I feel your love and light and healing
You'll always be my butterfly girl
My darling sweetheart beyond earth

Rot

I’m afraid
I am rotten.

Not on the surface-
no, I learned early
how to look intact.
I learned how to smile
without cracking,
how to speak softly
so no one hears
the decay working underneath.

Rot is quiet.
It doesn’t announce itself.
It happens slowly,
patiently,
in places no one checks.

I worry there is something in me
that spoiled before it was ever loved.
Something that went bad
from waiting too long
in the dark.
Something that learned
how to survive neglect
but not how to stay whole.

People touch me
and pull their hands back
eventually.
They never say why.
They just sense it-
that faint wrongness,
that soft collapse behind the ribs,
like fruit bruised too deeply
to recover.

I try to be careful.
I try not to leak.
I wrap myself in kindness,
in humor,
in good behavior-
as if sweetness on the outside
might cancel out
what’s fermenting within.

But rot doesn’t disappear
because you are gentle.
It doesn’t stop
because you are trying.

I replay every loss
like evidence.
Every leaving.
Every almost-love
that stalled and spoiled.
I ask myself
what they smelled
that I couldn’t.

Maybe I stayed unopened too long.
Maybe I trusted the wrong warmth.
Maybe something essential in me
was never meant
to survive this air.

I am afraid I am rotten
because no matter how deeply I clean,
there is a sadness
that keeps resurfacing-
not sharp,
not dramatic,
just sour and persistent.

The kind that settles in the chest
and convinces you
this is who you’ve always been.
This is what happens
when something good
is left waiting
too long to be chosen.

I fear love will arrive,
finally,
and find me already ruined.
That it will press gently
and feel the give.
That it will apologize
with its eyes
and turn away.

So I keep myself closed.
I keep myself cool.
I pretend preservation
is the same as safety.

But at night,
when everything is quiet enough
to tell the truth,
I press my hand to my chest
and wonder-

was I always like this,
or did the world
teach me
how to spoil?

I’m afraid
I am rotten.

And more afraid still
that no one will ever tell me
I am not.

Black and White - White and Black

Black and White – White and Black

Blinded by a
Lack of compassion
Alone on a silent
Corner watching
Kindness take
A back seat as
Needless prejudice
Drives division
Why does it always
Have to be
Insisted that we
Take sides,
Either…or

When we are all
Human beings
Individuals’ maybe
Though still the same
Existing
Amongst each other
Not a color
Different shades of skin
But people who
Live, love and learn, so please
Accept one another
Cancel out hate
Know peace

Nugget For Humility

Today I undertake to put on the highest cloak of humility.
To consider myself as an offshoot of Grace.
To act in the lowest denomination of pride.
As much as place other before me in love,
to place every human above my one unit cell of self.
To uphold the pre-eminence of Christ while He increases as I decrease.
I pledge to cancel out all forms of carnal competition which births in the me envy and pride.
And rest in the only favor our Lord supreme places in my realm.
I have decided to bend low to life and in life.
So that His strength will pull me on to honor, glorified in His righteousness.
I therefore declare, that I am nothing without Him and need His sufficiency to add flesh to my inadequacies.
I will let God completely have His way.
For if God claims me in my state of genuine pure humility, He will work it all out Himself,
As He is the one who works in me to do His good will and pleasure.

It Is Better To Have Loved and Lost Contest

“It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all”
For the gift of love is our human call,
Miles can’t hold you from what you desire,
Deep in your soul love rages like fire,
Borders can’t stop the beat in your chest,
For love has first place above all of the rest,
Love heals the broken and mends the sick,
Love supply’s a candle with its wick,
It knocks on the door and can be very persistent,
Love is capable of being very resistant,
The stars are much brighter and the moon has a more vibrant glow,
No one can say where true love can go,
Even though the risk can be high,
That one day you may have to say goodbye,
Your spirit will sing and your soul will fly,
Love will cancel out all the tears you may have cried,
Unfortunately sometimes love does come to an end,
Your deepest memories become your closest friend,
Even though the taste of love may be bitter sweet,
The fact that you had love is better than it being obsolete,
For the nights of passion and days of glory,
You can hold deep inside as your personal story,
Even if loves wound becomes deep,
And there are nights that come where you cannot sleep,
The reason behind it is all very clear,
When you’re in love everything else just disappears,
We don’t think about it ever fading away,
And how it would feel if the sky just turned gray,
Though the seasons may turn
To the dimmest nights of winter,
And darkness may invade like an intrusive splinter,
Hidden inside the gash of this pain,
There is a love so pure that noone else can obtain,
Remember to see the greater picture,
It is even written in biblical scriptures,
That true love never fails,
Even after her ship has sailed,
So when you have love hold it tight,
For one day you may lose its sight,
Cherish every single day,
For just like a bird it may fly away,
Never regret the time spent in paradise,
However, remember sometimes true love pays a price.

Premium Member The New Counter Culture

One of the primary goals of the counter culture is to cancel out by eliminating and replacing the current culture. There will be no room allowed for Christians and/or conservative voices in America. Already it is being tagged as hate speech! Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram are canceling out conservative and/or Christian voices. Simply by terminating their accounts!

Some of those targeted voices/viewpoints have not yet been deleted by the progressive liberals of the Social Media platform. They have one basic agenda,
simply eliminating any points of view which disagree with their Chinese Communistic objectives! There are conservative social media outlets where
where conservative voices are not silenced!

They have targeted and used smear campaigns upon popular and well known opponents! Some of the them have even had serious death threats placed upon them and their families and their loved ones! Thereby operating just like organized criminal families and drug cartels! The vast majority of the media is very sympathetic to precipitating fake news! They are not only openly hostile towards the Republican Party but they are very supportive of the radical left wing of the Democratic Party!

Thus, the radical left progressive wing of the Democrats, is not only anti-American in their view points; they are also anti-Israel, and openly side
with Israel's enemies! Lets face it Israel's enemies are also enemies of the
freedom loving nations of the world! Israel's enemies are bent upon world wide global dominance and global destruction!

During the mid-term elections is 2022 and the presidential elections in 2024,
hackers from enemy nations! Will try once again to influence our electoral process! Please vote and vote responsibility by voting against our national domestic and foreign enemies! Vote independently!

Premium Member A Funny One For the Road

I want to write a funny poem
Why does the chicken cross the road?
Because it was tired of the pen
Did you get the joke about tomorrow?
Yeah it is never here
How can you know that you are free?
Because you don't have anything hold you back
Got it?
How can you see things clearly?
It's when you step outside
Huh?
Give just how you get it
That is all you can do
Unless You want to be God
And that - You can do too
In your dream
Dream - amour
What is that?
A mental disease
You need to get rid of it, my friend
Before you become a laugher in your town
My town anyway
Not up to a joke
Well you can be a joker
And the joke is on you
How high is high?
When I can't see anything
Include that which it is down here
Talk about tomorrow
Why would you care?
It'll be here whether you want it or plan it
So save your tomorrow till when it comes
Have your today
I plan to have my today
I don't want my tomorrow
It's too much tasking
And I don't like it
Grrr
Yeah
Grin and bear
You are talking about moi?
I don't bear
And I don't grin
Am I a man?
Lol
Whatever
Two wrongs don't make it right
Who gives a s?
Two rights don't make it wrong either
But do I care?
Nope
Now if you say three wrongs will make it right
Yeah that is when God knocks you over the head
for being so stupid
Yeah
Do I know common sense?
No I am not common
And I have no sense
My nose stuffs up
Gee
By whom the road clears?
By the order of the most on high
- The city crew
Far sighted or near sighted
I can never tell
I just know it is the opposite
Grrr
Be right back
You'd better be right
Slum construction
Why do you have to construct a slum?
Got one to know one
What does two get?
A big zero
Because you cancel out each other
Get it?
Negative and positive?
You are too slow
I am going to bed

DRY MASCARA

Nobody sees through the shadow and the color of my eyes
The times I've cried are the only time you notice the trace down my face
This time,
The sorrow at heart is deeper than anything I've ever penned or spoken of,
an atmosphere of dark film and Revlon
Many times I allowed myself to die, only to return to the living
The numbness of my soul delivers weight nobody can lift

Talk of black eyes, the tale of my life reopens every scar
On good days, the sun seems to stray from where I lay,
Only to reveal the paste that drowns my face
At times I blank out the pain,
the depression compiles the close quarters of my room
Even then, I can't escape every past wound I covered up
Hiding was never the problem, the healing process was

Institutionalized, no longer able to function as a whole
Each cell inside replicates a tight thick wall with no escape
The laughter of nothing sinks into a gulf of tears
With moods more melancholy than most
I press the pain that echoes hard within my head
- I weep
Deep sadness flows with no mercy, no reason
Nothing to cancel out the voices that hush my inner being
In a whisper, I ask for H E L P,
- I bleed
Nobody sees me, nobody hears me, NOBODY.....
The mascara ruins another fake mask

Grief is somber,
a constant reminder to my soul that it can't hide forever
Silence - callous
Until I can't feel anything...
Empty - detached
I felt myself become numb
Emotions gone
I laughed at the end.

Premium Member Get Yourself a Big Black Cat To Cancel Out Bad Luck

If there should be a pot hole as deep as Satan’s pit
appearing as I’m driving, I’d run right over it!

My husband’s luck is worse than mine, but we’re a package deal.
So every bad thing that befalls him, I can also feel!

One day I lost my best cat ever; needing a new pet,
I looked and looked to find a cat, the best that I could get.

One person getting desperate with no new owner found
was feeling sad he’d have to take his poor cat to the pound.

His cat , though not a lap cat, was pretty, sleek and black.
The guy was leaving town; there’d be no way to give her back!

I like to look to numbers for the logic that they show.
Two negatives makes positive; that’s one true fact I know!

So if a person has bad luck, it stands to reason that
perhaps his bad luck could reverse by having a black cat!!

I got that cat! She loudly purrs, which I find comforting
It’s like my mom is right nearby with lullabies to sing.

The cat’s my charm when in my arms; my luck has turned around,
for she’s become the second best of cats I ever found!

So if with many problems you’re always getting stuck,
just get yourself a big black cat to cancel out bad luck!

Not Your Fight

Dragging, lagging down this road,
Many things I was never told,
Stumble, tumble to the ground,
Looked up and saw no one was around,
Scraped and bruised... on both knees,
Begging for this disease to seize,
One more breath before I break,
When suddenly I realize You died for my sake,

When I can’t seem to find the words to say,
To cancel out these feelings of dismay,
When all I’ve seen was equivalent to shame,
And tornados wipe right through the pain,
When water washes the frailty and dishonor,
And most thought I was just a goner,
Your whispers penetrate my night,
Speaking out “this is not your fight”
“ I died to fill your life with might”

Holes in souls are hard to bare,
Especially when your scars are there,
Hearts that plead to overflow,
Sometimes bleed and cannot let go,
But through the madness and through the times,
There is only one name that comes to my mind,
Nails that sacrificed for our greater good,
Can relate to my deaths even if He was misunderstood,

When I can’t seem to find the words to say,
To cancel out these feelings of dismay,
When all I’ve seen was equivalent to shame,
And tornados wipe right through the pain,
When water washes the frailty and dishonor,
And most thought I was just a goner,
Your whispers penetrate my night,
Speaking out “this is not your fight”
This is not your fight,
This is not your fight.
