Do you think things through?
There will come a time
when you just give up
and tell God “just take it over”
God will hear you
And will grant your wishes
I just blurted out one day
And told God to take it over
Take it over
because I am powerless and helpless
No
Take it over
because I am through
and done with
Take it over because I can’t do it anymore
Whatever it is
God will heed your wishes
Don’t think He doesn’t hear you
I wasn’t too sure if He will grant it to me
And I know everything is in His own time
when He wants to do it
So I go about my daily life
forgetting all about it
Until He granted it one day
Today
Today is the day
He is in control of my life
Today is the day that He takes over
And I ceded control
Did you know you are not in control anyway?
As He is in control
God is in control
And for a moment earlier
I thought I was in control
And you too
God will let you think you have control
Until you find out you have no control
And ask Him take over
Be my guest
Ask God tonight
And He will grant it to you
when you least expect it
That is my lesson for today
Live and learn
But learn it quickly okay?
She blurted out
Something I always knew
But the fear won
Then grew and grew
...to defend
I saw him take it
Then deny to my face
No self control
Grabbing my place
...to feed
Hate, oh yes, there's hate
Seething in the skin
Soars erupting all over
Telling other's sin
...to bear
Tired and weary
Just trying to feel
A love that wants to know
Nothing but the real
...to be
...just me

The Revealed Secret
Why did you do it?
Why let the cat out the bag?
Were you so hurting?
Why did you raise your red flag?
Was at this time in nineteen-eighty, you were being bullied
To retaliate, you spat a truth that left us sullied
I am so sorry
I wish I'd stood up for you
Instead of being passive
Let those children get to you
They cornered you, I saw those tears, I felt that pain you carried
You lashed back out, came out your mouth, and innocence was buried
I tried not to react
Although was broken inside
I wanted to ask my Mum
Is it true, why has she lied?
Your revelation, hells vacation, death of hope and light
The words you spoke, my youth revoked, my entry to real life
I fought back my tears
“I knew that”, I pretended
Through all of these years
Your secret, hope absconded
You blurted out, “He isn't real - it's just your Mum and Dad”
No Santa Claus, no warm applause, just kids - upset and sad
On morning walks, I pass by
Certain people every day,
But rarely do we say hello;
It’s not the New York way.
Occasionally, breakthroughs
May result in first a nod,
Then perhaps a wave or “Morning!” shout
Or not, which isn’t odd.
One woman greets me warmly now,
Yet there were many years
When she wouldn’t even catch my eye;
Who knows why she switched gears?
A runner I see frequently
Will give a sideways glance
But won’t take it to the nodding stage
In this strange New York dance.
This afternoon, though, as I strolled
In Sotheby’s,* viewing art,
I spotted a familiar face
And blurted, with a start –
“Hey – you’re the runner!” He turned ‘round
And broke into a smile.
“And you’re the walker!” he replied;
We knew each other’s style.
“We could discuss this further
In the morning, but we move
In the opposite direction;”
(Since we’re in our a.m. groove).
The whole encounter felt like
Just how New York stories go
And the next time when our paths cross
Guaranteed, we’ll say hello.

toddler blurted out
“look Grandma, there‘s his willy”
I burst out laughing!
My auntie, who was on vacation
Was lusting for fast fornication
She met a well-hung guy
But her foo-foo’s too dry
She blurted, “It needs lubrication!”
The fella, whose first name was Dick
Said, “Stay put. I’ll be back real quick
I’ll purchase sticky Jell-O
‘Twill turn your foof bright yellow
But ensures my entry is slick!"
The Jell-O lube worked really well
Dick satisfied my Auntie Mel
Next time she needs some lube
She’ll melt a Jell-O cube
Aunt’s shagged out. I think you can tell!
They walked very slowly,
The man and his pet;
The dog, with a harness,
Was ailing and yet
Each morning I’d see them,
Both inching along,
The limbs maybe weak
But the life force still strong.
You saw their connection,
The man leaning close
And giving support
In a much-needed dose.
We never conversed,
At least not ‘til today,
When I spotted the man,
All alone, on his way.
“Where’s your dog?’ without thinking,
I just blurted out,
Though the answer, “She passed,”
I’d expected, no doubt.
When I said I was sorry,
He thanked me and said,
“She was near 17,”
Then he lowered his head
And he walked away slowly,
But not like before,
Having no one who needs
His support anymore.
Time sat with her antinomic daughters two :
Destiny the elder, tall, fastidious and hard ;
And Luck, the merry, playful conjuring guard
Who averts the pre-ordained, out of the blue
The old lady crocheting together events odd ,
Twisting her head ,opened up the dispute :
'Why need you meddle with and transmute
'All that ensues along Fate's heavy, firm plod
Considering the plight on the marked path ,
"Mom " , said the other with a wry smile
" I let my picks find the vicissitudes wile
"That favour the brave who bear Life's wrath".
Thus went the dialectic , neither did concede ;
Striking an attitude, blurted the one serious ,
That every act has its effect due and various ;
The other winked and shrugged, to plead :
Hope induces vigour in crisis and breakdown
As morbid defeat glides like an avalanche ,
And committed strife finds enlivening chance
If death is certain , survival is winner's crown .
It says - seize the day
Enticing me to go astray
You only live once, why not live more
As I dash off to a hasty decision
A gap - as the mind processes
For a common ground
Yet I did, against all odds
Blurted out those words, drawn are swords.
In the rear
Mocking sounds I hear
"I warned you", it sneered
With cruel disdain.
Those little voices
Leads you to bad choices.
Smiting spread of gaseous explosion blow
He sprayed baby cologne with fresh mint glow
As classmates guessed puzzling scent
Poop came out as toilet-sent…
Then he blurted, “Thanks* God for freedom flow!”

One day, while my great grandpa
was having a bath in the basin
he wanted to know what time grammy
was supposed to stop by and visit that afternoon
my sister replied to him that
Grammy was coming here soon
but instead he said "spoon?"
my sister then repeated the word "soon" once again
but instead he said "stone?"
followed by the words:
cone, phone,
pool, school,
cool, moon,
comb and noon !
He kept on saying every word
that rhymed with the word "soon"
except for the actual word
Just as my sister hoisted her white phonics flag
his lips had finally blurted out the word "soon"
much to her exhaustion
Spoken said
Verbalized declared enunciated
Given aired voiced
Brought out whispered
Proclaimed commented
Blurted breathed broadcasted
SPOKEN
Asserted affirmed promulgated
Spoken truths and untruths
Advertised where am I to be casted
Publicized overwhelmed subdued demoralized
BROKEN
Talked discussed uttered thrown up despaired
Vented broadcast gasped phrased up and out
Broken
Snarled shot ripped (out)
Silently diverted screams of dispersions’
Vocalized shouted articulated denounced
SPOKEN
Shared passed announced Be it so,
Spoken is the broken speech at naught
Alleged ventilated averred formulated
Drawled avowed
Doubted Be it so, spoken is the broken
BROKEN
Vocalized shouted articulated denounced
Shared passed announced
Be it so, spoken is the broken speech at naught
Broken is Spoken
Quiet marks the spot

In the midst of a conversation with a spiritual mentor
I blurted out “if I knew then what I know now!”.
He quickly responded:
“You know now what you know now
…what is different?”

A male fly is munching on a big, sweet bread when a bee arrives...
The fly was scared of the bee's size and so he immediately left the bread on the ground.
The bee laughed so loud because the fly left the bread. The bee followed the fly and asked, "Why did you leave your bread?"
The fly quivered, " You can have all the bread if you want to... just don't hurt me!"
The bee explained, "I am a drone. I don't have a sting and I will not hurt you."
"Really??!!!" the fly exhaled.
"I only want some bread of yours that's why I followed you, and asking you now if you can share your bread with me?"
The fly and the bee flew back and shared the bread together.
"Why are you here?" asked the fly.
"It's winter and all male bees are kicked out. The hive where I used to stay in is dominated by female bees."
The bee asked the fly, "Where do you live?"
"I live anywhere... everywhere." the fly replied.
"Wow, we're both homeless!" blurted the bee.
"No, we are not. Being homeless is only in the state of mind. Being home is being with your true self."
On the first floor of a hotel in Cape Cod
A larger than average lady got on the elevator
She pressed floor number two
Immediately I blurted out “Number two???”
“You could have walked”
Her immediate response was
“What??? And lose a pound!”
My new wife first cringed
then breathed a big sigh of relief
Sometimes I blurt out stuff without thinking
VERY DANGEROUS!!!
