A Funny Moment
One day, while my great grandpa
was having a bath in the basin
he wanted to know what time grammy
was supposed to stop by and visit that afternoon
my sister replied to him that
Grammy was coming here soon
but instead he said "spoon?"
my sister then repeated the word "soon" once again
but instead he said "stone?"
followed by the words:
cone, phone,
pool, school,
cool, moon,
comb and noon !
He kept on saying every word
that rhymed with the word "soon"
except for the actual word
Just as my sister hoisted her white phonics flag
his lips had finally blurted out the word "soon"
much to her exhaustion
