Best Treat Poems
I invite you to go wild,
laugh till your sides nearly burst.
And act as you did a child,
letting raindrops quench your thirst.
Start a fire with scraps of wood,
or sculpt castles made of sand.
And pick berries that taste good,
or stroll through a meadowland.
Go splash in the creek barefoot
or chase frogs that swim away.
And track monsters like Bigfoot,
while you enjoy this play day.
Giggle at the dog's kisses,
or run, like, you'll never stop.
Poke a snake till it hisses,
or climb a tree to its top.
Gaze at the clouds sailing by,
as they slowly drift away.
And treat yourself to a pie,
while having a fun-filled day.
October, when the leaves intensify -
colored explosions: orange, yellow, red,
breezes to temper summer's heat draw nigh.
There's one last month of days with lightened sky
before our Daylight Saving goes to bed;
October, when the leaves intensify.
A campsite will my kinfolk occupy,
by hot bonfire we'll sing and break the bread,
breezes to temper summer's heat draw nigh.
So many sports events to satisfy
this fan: World Series appetites are fed,
October, when the leaves intensify.
The crisp night air, hot chocolate, pumpkin pie,
warm sweaters, gloves, and scarves become widespread,
Breezes to temper summer's heat draw nigh.
Sweet treats for trick-or-treaters who stop by,
the pirates, princesses, and walking dead.
October, when the leaves intensify;
Breezes to temper summer's heat draw nigh.

Her Luscious Lips A Tantalizing Treat
A gust of cobalt blue winds grace her face
Brazen black hair outshines cerculean sky
She that dances forth with such princess grace
As if she were angel about to fly
And the woven gleam from those big blue eyes
Her luscious lips a tantalizing treat
Holding her so very tight as red sun dies
I pray true love never know its defeat
Her smile, beautiful as a floating swan
She that walks with the air of princess divine
She my Bathsheba I her loving Khan
And our life, our love making tis so fine
On silken sheets our bed bursts into flames.
Our life is true grand, as we play no games.

She that rocks my world.

Beneath a dark
and sinister
sky where
stars
hide behind
pumpkin patch wishes
and ghostly
dreams
Ghouls and goblins
cavort on this
final October eve
seeking candy
and other
sugary goodies,
lest a trick
be played
amidst giggles
and grins
As I watch from
eerie front porch
shadows
draped in
faux spider webs,
while my
mind
conjures
images of a
mystical
faraway beauty
Hypnotic eyes,
peering ‘pon
springtime
enchantments in
blue hydrangea
potions of
satin petals
and chiffon
shimmered
driftings
Moon glow
skin, porcelain
touches
in angelic images,
haunting desires
and affectionate
midnight
yearnings
Kisses of northern
destinations,
floating to
waiting lips,
whispering
long distance
promises
and warming
chilly smiles
And I realize
on this night
of mischief and
mayhem,
Styrofoam
headstones
and dry ice fog,
black cats
and skeletons
in doorways…
the sweetest treat
for me
will always
be you
Happy Halloween Soupers

He cursed himself for accepting the dare. He never believed in ghosts or haunted houses. He thought it was an easy way to make a few bucks if he spent a night in a haunted house.
Now he found himself in the most deserted house of the small town, reputed to be haunted. He had lain on his camp bed and hoped sleep would come soon. Certainly, he did not relish the pitch darkness of the house or outside it.
Without any rational explanation he found himself hovering between nowhere and the balcony. He saw all the houses of the town light up in a flash of multiple lightning. It seemed to him as if the whole town trembled as an earthquake rippled below the ground. The balcony seemed to disintegrate, and he found himself falling, falling, and falling right down into an abyss.
He wanted to cry in alarm. Sweat oozed out from all over his body. He woke up on the camp bed. He tried to get up but found himself paralyzed. The darkness engulfed him like a bed cover. Suddenly he thought he saw a flash outside the bedroom in the corridor. Lightning? He had no way of knowing.
Finally, he found he could move his hand and grasp the bottle of rye. The liquid seared his throat. It was not easy to drink as he laid flat on his back. The heat was now intense, and he sweated profusely. He tried in vain to pull up the bed sheet to try and wipe his face. The only thing that moved was his heart that was pumping away like mad. Relax. No ghosts about. It was only in the mind. Tomorrow he would gain those extra bucks.
It was then that he felt something moving over his body. In the pitch darkness he could not see what this could be. Suddenly a pair of malevolent eyes glared at him out of nowhere, seemingly without a face. Then he heard the growl. He wanted to scream but could not. Sweat poured down his face and his heart pumped away like a rocket propelled to hell.
His friends found him next day, cold dead, a small cat sitting on his chest.
Tonight is my birthday and I'm in for a surprise
My darling desires to thrill my eyes
The living room is set and the lights are turned low
Scented candles are lit as I await what she shows
Soft ballads play from rock bands we adore
To my left she enters such beauty amour
In sexy black lace with traces of deep red
Her curvaceous shapes play with my head
Teasing and taunting in her gypsy style dance
Erotic she is, my eyes captured in trance
Pouting she writhes alluring my clutch
Staying out of reach, denying me of touch
Scintillating movements as she edges real close
Her perfume entices my desire to pursue
My hearts now pumping in manly crave
As I catch her kisses in loving threw
Closer she dances as she takes my hand
As I arise and join her as we take to the floor
Embraced we are on this special night
Passion awaits with my girl I adore
Touchingly we kiss as our hands declare
Revealing to each other our bodily joys
Blissful caressing declares our time
Our bodies unite in loving employ

Earth, sun, and water
Like home made ice cream sundae
Melting together
Unwrapping you
With pure delight
Placing you in my mouth
Velvety smooth
A subtle seduction
Melting effortlessly
In the heat
Of my oral ******
An indulgent treat
So succulence and sweet
An addiction or temptation?
Sucking eagerly
Seduction of the senses
Devouring
All I can have, in this moment!
The wetness of my tongue
Searching, my sugar sweetened lips
For the ever lasting remnants
Of a 'Hershey Kiss'
It is already late while I see
Those kids still play hide and seek
Dance around that pole which lacked of paint
The cockroach underneath tried to escape, run for a life
A night with an empty sky
Those constellations were asleep
Street lights accompanying me in a hush
But has yet to beat the rest of my spirit
I walk on melody towards to the gate of joy
Imagining love is waiting behind the warm sheet
Though those 'to do list' take a number of waiting list
They may have to wait and be on their queue
My eyes may have occupied by a ton of drowsiness
But not for my brain which still spin on its rusty gear
Fulfilling the tiny pleasure of a friend across the web
Life cannot be much prettier than this
Dedicated to all of my friends in Poetrysoup who were encouraging me to keep on writing

( TRICK OR TREAT )
Toddlers walking the streets at night,
Running from house to house.
Images of candy fill their heads,
Costumes of all kinds abound.
Knocking on strangers doors.
On their faces are smiles galore,
Ready for the next house.
Time consuming ritual,
Right down to the last minute.
Emptying out the jars of goodies,
Always to say thank you sir or ma`am.
Treasures await them when they get home.
In the shifting air
the sweet scent of candy corn
candle wax burning
All doors are open
an ancient mystery lives
I bask in its glow
Having lived with various cats as great pets
we praise* God for their calm presence, so warm
never giving harm, purring with sweet charm
cheering, when from fear of mice, each heart frets.
For occasions we celebrate with bliss
our cats graciously welcome every guest
making them feel at home along meow’s zest
feasting sumptuously; such not to miss.
In our home devoid of Halloween night
our Kitties display their odd feline tricks
while wowed by TV shows of bizarre pix
watching fellow cats of costumes delight.
Soon they will feast on their favorite meal
rice and fish mixed with vegetable relish
so pleased are they amidst nutritious dish
enjoying gracious treat around friendship* zeal.

Their 1:30 lunch—that is fine
But I’m there at 1:29
They said you're too late
With glee closed the gate
So I filed a protest online
Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat is oh so neat, as we go door to door,
We dont have a preference, we go to rich and poor.
We are given candy, bars ,chips ,and cans of pop to,
For no one wants to get tricked, it wont look good on you.
We pick a route that has many homes, as we start out for the night,
Our parents follow close behind, so we dont fuss and fight.
At the end of the line i am happy to say, i am full lets go home,
My feet were getting kind of sore, it seemed right to the bone.
When we finally reach our home, and open up the door,
There were still kids out there, just asking to get more.
For us we were happy, just to sit for a spell,
Try to put our feet up, but there goes the door bell.
So if your think about it, going out to trick or treat,
Stop and think for a while, about how it hurts your feet.
But ask any kid today, just what they would rather do?
Trick or Treating of course, because they give candy free to you .
Split my banana and stuff it with cream
top with tantalizing treats to extreme
nuts and silky sweetened balls
gooey toppings form seawalls
nothing left out of a lover's wet dream
