Premium Member Milton Creek, Sneak Peek

NOTE: To those who will soon be joining us in Milton Creek:
Please allow our Mayor to make the announcement. Thanks!

Lots of things are going on in the town of Milton Creek
now that the posse has returned after putting under arrest
the villain guilty of murder; but who pretended to be meek.
It's a lesson to those thinkin' of movin' to the wild West.

I've been hearing rumors that are spreadin' on the street
about a bunch of new townsfolks that are comin' this way...
to Milton Creek because it's been declared the county seat.
I'm sure they're all good people, Mayor Tom will have his say.

He don't take too kindly to those who barge their way in.
There's procedure to follow when runnin' a business here.
The town council will disapprove of sharks with a dorsal fin,
so, all citizens can live in peace, without the need of fear.

I bought what was a restaurant next door to the Aces Hotel.
It folded when many got sick from eating bad Mexican food.
Now, it's part of Milt's legacy, and I promised I'd never sell.
Dinner at Aces, dessert at the bakery, coffee: fresh brewed

Mayor Tom is off on a new adventure, but he'll be back soon
to announce the names of new residents coming to the Creek.
I'm sure he'll be calling a town meeting on the first afternoon.
For now, I thought I'd offer a glimpse, just a little sneak peek.

Soup Creek Sneak

Disaster fell upon Soup Creek
When everyone heard Jenna shriek,
"Tom's Marmite was taken!
He'll have to eat bacon
Unless we all play Hide 'n Seek!"

I Sneak Away From My Past

I sneak away from the past
looking through a mirrored glass
What you see you can't believe
that this life is of me.
Raped an burned cut an sliced
by daddy big ole knife.

I sneak away from the past
looking through a mirrored glass
The things You made me do
an the things you did to me
would make you cry you see.

A child so young an afraid
black an blue maybe grey
she never has anything to say.
Broken bones every now an then
as Mommy sets there an just grins.

I sneak away from the past
looking through a mirrored glass
I pretend every things ok
As daddy looks this way
an tells me just what to say.

I sneak away from the past
while looking through that
mirrored glass as my time here
has almost past.

I leave this world far behind
as mommy an daddy's world
will shine.
Locked away for ever in a day
This is where they'll always stay.

    My opponent will destroy democracy
But my opponent will normalize hypocrisy

My opponent pays hush money to whores
Well, my opponent snoozes in meetings and snores

My opponent’s in cahoots with radical progressives
But my opponent’s tax cuts are regressive

My opponent is in bed with Putin
Well, my opponent for Iran is rootin’

My opponent’s spending will stoke inflation
But my opponent’s plans will increase starvation

    Enough! Stop! Cut! Halt!
It’s not all the other guy’s fault

All this negativity makes one thing clear
I’m voting for the first candidate I can cheer

Sneak Preview

So thankful for the gifts from God
They are all my hopes and dreams
Those joyful Sneak Previews
Of what He will someday bring

When I dream big
And keep my hopes high
It is like I did something good
By at least giving it all a try

The journey may be long
And the load is sometimes heavy
Just remember it says in the Bible
The vision will come, it will not tarry

Even though it is at an appointed time
It is surely still coming in brand new
Certainly better than ever before
It is great to see a Sneak Preview

Those sneak previews
Make waiting not seem slow
By enjoying the given thoughts
They come true before you know

The Creepy Sneak

He's older than dirt and should be dead
but yet he keeps walking around filling us with dread
wears the same dark hooded outfit everyday
showing fashion is not quite his forte

You would think he was a track field racer
because his sneakers get worn out on a daily basis
I bumped into him at Shoe Carnival last May
taking advantage of the buy one get one half off day

I followed him for a bit around the store
but he just kept trying on sneakers and I was ignored
wanting to get the nerve up to give him a piece of my mind
but lost it when I saw him give me the evil eye

He paid for his pairs of sneakers with his boney hands
then went outside and got into his creepy van
running to my car and jumping in I was out of breath
noticing his bumper sticker which said "Honk if you love death"

I felt like a detective following him to his very humble abode
which was a condemned building with not a soul
he carried his sneakers hurrying up the front steps
with a sharp farmers implement I'll never forget

I took a picture of him which I look at every once in awhile
although I've known this creep ever since I was a child
yes he's quite a boney, grim, hooded, farmers implement carrying creature
who we all know and loathe as the sneaky grim reaper

A coworker of mine passed away three days ago at the age of 33 from bone
cancer and I just came back from his funeral: RIP Justin

O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is they victory?~1 Cor 15:55

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for though art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me ~Psalm 23:4

Sneak In the Mind

The shippers,
The third wheel,
The chaperon,
Intermediary,

The center of all the waggeries,
that "singles are bitter",
because they aren't inlove,
or haven't fallen in love",

Have you ever tried,
 to sneak on their mind?,
If they really don't care about love,
Or are they praying for someone to come,
And bring them some love,

Some of them are in pain,
For feelings that are not repaid,
Some are just waiting,
believing ,"God has better plans"

But most of them are real lovers,
that holds strong in fate,
With faith,
They hold in their heart a great love,

A love nobody dares to feel,
In a heart that no one dares to know,
a love That would surely last,
 more than this life time,

POTUS Joe Biden
  met Vladimir Kremlin
said, 'Show me your wares if you dare'

  Whereupon Vladimir Kremlin
  unleashed a gremlin
  grinning atop nuclear hardware

  Not to be outdone
  Joe had a plan
whipped out a fierce water gun

  Said, 'Come here, Vlady Kremlin

Sneak a Peek

Tell me, you
whom my
heart desires
Voice of my
eyes
Betray my
heart
Our prized
secret

My eyes, a
reflection
o'my dream
To mend the
seam,
To heal your
heart,
And soothe
its hurt

Dive and
drown in
their pool
ever,
Keep you in
e'er,
Without a
fight
All through
the night

The Sneak Attack

At last the proverbial other shoe
has dropped and hit the ground
I've been waiting for it for so long
been waiting for that sound

And it thinks itself so clever
staying motionless for years
in the hope that I'd forget it
and relinquish all my fears

It'd pop its head in from time to time
when life was going well
and warp someone with evil
send a marriage straight to hell

I must admit, it tricked me
more than a few times
and swept my feet from under me
and stole all I thought was mine

But this time I was waiting
now that all my dreams came true
the perfect man, the perfect place
it came as if on cue

This time it wouldn't warp my mate
it'd leave my marriage strong
and it wouldn't make me lose my home
and nothing would seem wrong

This time it'll ruin me from within
undermine things like a rumor
and destroy my bit of happiness
with a large and deep brain tumor.

Premium Member In the mystery of the night, when stars sneak stealthily through the branches

In the mystery of the night, when stars sneak stealthily through the branches,
nothing has changed, and the body, that ephemeral vessel, still knows how to weep,
susceptible to pain, like a flower under the burden of cold,
the sky hums its eternal song, and we, prisoners of breath,
with thin skin and blood boiling beneath it, are but shadows
in the eternal dance of time, with bones breaking
under the unforgiving weight of history repeating itself.
Nothing has changed, although the earth seems smaller,
and everything that happens feels close, like a whisper
beyond the wall, and the body still trembles,
as if it always had,
before Rome, before Christ,
the same silent scream, the same echo of suffering,
a symphony of innocence, spanning the ages,
uncomprehended, yet ever-present.
Nothing has changed, only the number of people has grown,
and with them, the offenses, new and old, real and imagined,
but the cry of the body, that visceral response,
remains unchanged, a melody in ancestral tones,
that binds us to our ancestors,
that movement of hands trying to shield the head,
the same gesture, the same falls,
knees rising, skin turning blue,
a dance of pain repeating into eternity.
Nothing has changed, only the boundaries have been redrawn,
the lines of forests, coasts, deserts, and glaciers,
and the soul, that tireless wanderer,
loses and finds itself among them,
a stranger to itself, illusory, often unsure of its own existence,
while the body is, is, and is, without its own place,
a nomad of time, lost between heartbeats
and the whispers of the wind constantly calling it back.
And yet, in this landscape of melancholy and dreaming,
nothing has changed, only we, the dreamers,
lose ourselves in the flow of consciousness, in search of solace
that never comes, just shadows of dreams
intertwining with reality,
while the body remains, ever-present,
a memory of what was and what will be.

Sneak to Reek
Every time I look away,
the storm sneaks in
another step.
I see a flash in
the periphery
out of sight.
I feel a tremble
a tumble, a rumble
in the air.
The storm hushed heralds
it's there.
Rollings in relentless,
all powerful,
unstoppable,
ignorable,
reticent,
and strangely shy.
Inevitable,
the storm
sneaks in,
to reek
and come on
by.

Sneak a Dream

As the seconds of your time
Begin to merge with mine
With every brush of skin
We touch tentatively within
As you listen to me chat away
Within your closed lips
I hear all you have yet to say
As you look into my eyes
I stare deep inside a beautiful mind
As your future asks where will you be
I sneak a dream what could be we
