The Creepy Sneak

He's older than dirt and should be dead
but yet he keeps walking around filling us with dread
wears the same dark hooded outfit everyday
showing fashion is not quite his forte

You would think he was a track field racer
because his sneakers get worn out on a daily basis
I bumped into him at Shoe Carnival last May
taking advantage of the buy one get one half off day

I followed him for a bit around the store
but he just kept trying on sneakers and I was ignored
wanting to get the nerve up to give him a piece of my mind
but lost it when I saw him give me the evil eye

He paid for his pairs of sneakers with his boney hands
then went outside and got into his creepy van
running to my car and jumping in I was out of breath
noticing his bumper sticker which said "Honk if you love death"

I felt like a detective following him to his very humble abode
which was a condemned building with not a soul
he carried his sneakers hurrying up the front steps
with a sharp farmers implement I'll never forget

I took a picture of him which I look at every once in awhile
although I've known this creep ever since I was a child
yes he's quite a boney, grim, hooded, farmers implement carrying creature
who we all know and loathe as the sneaky grim reaper

A coworker of mine passed away three days ago at the age of 33 from bone
cancer and I just came back from his funeral: RIP Justin

For as in Adam all die; even so in Christ shall all be made alive~1 Cor 1:-22

O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is they victory?~1 Cor 15:55

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death~Psalm 13:3

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for though art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me ~Psalm 23:4

Very good one Cheryl. I especially liked the line "the buy one get one half off day" which I thought was really well rhymed but the whole thing was a "Che-Gem"...........80)
