Love more, when it is hardest to love.
Show compassion, always.
Be kind when deserved or not.
Be patient, when you are at the end of your rope.
Smile, when you are saddest.
Pray when you are at your lowest.
Thank God when you are at your highest.

My New Years resolution is not to make any more New Years resolutions!
I've made 'em in the past but they died on the craggy shoals of the Aleutians!
I'd swear to ease up on the vittles but I caught those scales lyin' to me.
I tried to curb my cussin' by usin' terms like gosh, darn and golly gee!
I resolved to be more courteous to other drivers and not flex my middle digit,
And be more patient with my kids when they wanted to squirm and fidget!
I vowed to take my dentist's advice and floss my choppers each and every day.
I flossed religiously but lost my religion leavin' my teeth prone to decay!
I promised myself that I'd exercise regularly in order to keep fit and trim,
But preferred lollin' in my LazyBoy with a beer sans goin' to the gym!
'Tis obvious when it comes to keepin' resolutions I ain't got much fortitude,
So I reckon I'll take my chances and not lock-in on any inane platitude!

My new year's resolution is I’m going to get thinner
So I purchased a 'Weightwatchers’ meal as a TV dinner
When I looked at the ingredients I discovered it’s a racket
There is more nutritional value if had I eaten the blinking packet!

Another fresh year is here,
I would love to banish from my life, worry doubt & fear.
I would like to be joyous, true and live life each moment with zest,
and give the people around me nothing but the best.
I would love to talk, communicate and break mental barriers that are creations,
and work hard towards mending broken relations.
I would love to tell my wife to give me all her tears and fear,
and take from me all my love the loving words she likes from me to hear.
I would love to make an effort to be a good friend,
to my elder daughter and put all petty misunderstandings to an end.
I would love to stop to the people in contact ,the shoving,
and spend more time in loving.
I would love to stop being disadvantageous and outrageous,
and speak only the truth and for that be courageous.
I would love to fight my emotions all unfriendly,
and cover them all with feelings that are friendly.
I would love to learn to be sensitive,
and towards others be open and receptive.
I would love to practice not to crib about all the things life has not given me,
and be greatful for the great things around me I have an opportunity to feel and see.
I would love to learn to be content about all I have received,
and focus now on giving and helping those, whom life has deceived.
I would love to pray for world peace and plant more trees,
and work to help out for carbon emission decrease.
I would love to learn to be unforgiving,
and be more tolerant and caring.
I would love to right some of my wrongs,
and be true to myself and hum joyous songs.
Finally, I would love to learn to be humble and full of gratitude,
and to do so spend some precious moments of my day reflecting in solitude.
I hereby resolve to declutter.
I’ll slice through my closets like butter.
What looks dated and torn
Or what I haven’t worn
Will be bagged up and tossed to the gutter.
I say the same thing every year.
When I promise, I’m really sincere;
But for true execution
Of this resolution
A fairy would have to appear.
And then, with a wave of her wand,
Old garments would up and respond.
They would float out the door
And I’d lock it before
With my newer things she could abscond.
A fairy’s unlikely to show,
So my closets will still overflow;
But I’ve learned how to cope
Though there’s always some hope
That I’ll give a few things the heave-ho!
I lost at least twelve pounds in this past season.
Since turning sixty, I have made a goal
to get back to my old self. The reason
is that I hated that unholy roll
around my middle! Now it’s mostly gone.
However, I still want my old size ten.
So I will keep the diet I’ve been on,
but when I reach my goal, I won’t stop then!
I’ve vowed to eat less often things that use
so many additives. They are so bad.
I’m older! Better foods I need to choose.
Quite tasty ones these past few months I’ve had
while losing weight. I know it can be done.
But once a week I’ll cheat to keep it fun!

A New Year celebration, a time for joy and cheer
Another chance to make things right
For all that failed last year
This year it will be different though; a resolution firm
No stopping after days or months
This time you'll go full term
With all the plans that have been made; resources stored away
Research has been completed
There's no time to stop and play
Get up! Get out and do it! Let nothing stop you now
Move past all obstacles in your path
You'll reach the end somehow
No more procrastination; stop wasting precious time
The goal is set - reach hard for it
It's going to work out fine
Just don't give up! Stay on the course; don't turn yourself around
The finish line is just ahead
And you will wear the Crown
"We have more ability than willpower, and it is often an excuse to ourselves that we imagine that things are impossible". Francois de La Rochefoucauld
A fresh year is upon us, and the counter is ticking,
I carry out my recent resolutions for year-picking.
Self-discipline or staying in touch with family.
The family lives in the eternal heart, happily.
I will strain harder to retain my resolution,
to improve our planet for peace and evolution.
Faint waves of grace may clump a long way,
Conjure us a stable place and restrain evil at bay.
I wish to improve my family bonds this year,
They bestow concord, spirit, and a loving ear.
This year, I ought to transmute what I say,
Misunderstood words often ruin my day.
I'd aped to yield up even minor desires this year,
for they rarely come true and only wreak fear.
I wish to savor each moment with awareness.
Thoughtfully, I wish to increase my happiness.
The nonce ticking down to 2023 and midnight,
The preceding year viewed so much plight.
If I pick one resolution, it will be to be positive.
My cup half full stars glitter brighter, evocative.
No more premature sleepless nights are due,
Worry over the obnoxious, resentful few.
Learning to be grateful a million times over,
sharing prosperity with loads of delight sower.
My New Year's resolution was revealed in the past,
I hope that the year twenty-two will be our last.
I hope that the huge ball will achieve something,
It crushes the epidemic and the anguish it brings.

“There are enormous possibilities for one to improve in life, as world is a great university and we are taught through text books of life’s experiences with sagacious sages and savants as our teachers and the precepts of great men who have left a great legacy behind.”-- ~By Poet~
As New Year dawns, promising a fresh start,
We pledge to see the graph of life rising in our chart.
At this time when all make resolutions many to be won,
I have boiled down my resolves to a single one.
All I wish is to be a better person in body and mind
To love others, forgive my enemies and be kind
This is something I have been striving all my life,
Get along even with my detractors without strife.
Train myself to be considerate to all without exception,
Be compassionate to the needy without expectation.
Live my life smooth without many a nagging care
And never let my heart sink into dull despair.
Scrub away all my glaring imperfections clean.
Bring healthy practices everyday into my routine.
Admire nature and tend it in all its attendant glory.
Add memorable and sweeter episodes to my life’s story.
Be a loving partner in whom my man can spy,
An ocean of love surging in my dewy eye.
To my children, ever remain as an adorable mother,
A confidante, a friend and guide, giving them succor.
Through words and deeds, show them the miracle of love.
Teach them to be thankful for the blessings from above.
Thus enact my role as a wife and mother in the best way possible,
Accepting, for my success and failure, I alone am responsible.
Resolution this year…stop buying spree,
Infinite number …shoes, jewellery!
Dior purses, handbags nice,
Chanel dresses, reduced price,
Family panicks at purchase they see!
Clear the wardrobe, full of expensive clothes…
Gucci, Klein, Kors - covering head to toes,
I must donate some good stuff,
Don't I have outfits enough!
For a lifetime of posh glamour I chose!

My New Year's resolution
For twenty twenty-four
Is the same old resolution
That I made ten times before
I vowed to stop eating junk food
Like candy and all kinds of chips
So, that I could lose those handlebars
That have grown around my hips
I vowed to stop eating McDonalds...
And Wendy's and Burger king
And focused on eating better things
Like- Buffalo Wild Wings
I vowed to eat more fruits
Like- oranges, grapes, and cherries
So, I bought myself something good
A pack of Starburst's, flavored- Wild Berries
We are all the sum of our experiences up to this point. That doesn't mean we're destined to follow the same path into our future. But instead, we can look back into the past and determine where it is we want to go from here. We have the opportunity to take the best, throw away the bad, and begin anew every day. No matter how much we might regret some of the decisions made in our wilder days, we can't go back and make changes. But we can learn from them so we will not make the same mistakes today.
roads to the future
come through highways of the past,
embrace the journey
Ruben looked deep down a decanter of hopeless glass
Engulfed in spirits of the wrong kind by his inner nemesis
Saturated with agony delusions and soaked surrender as he
Opened the screw top and drained drunken promises
Lingering at agony’s abyss he glanced at the sink hole
Unrequited love was a reason to live and not to dissolve
Tempests of titanic proportions tempted his resolve
In the face of drowning he tied a new essence to his dreams
One day at a time and sober he now faced life on it’s terms
Naked to the core he put the genie back into the bottle
