Roads to the Future

We are all the sum of our experiences up to this point. That doesn't mean we're destined to follow the same path into our future. But instead, we can look back into the past and determine where it is we want to go from here. We have the opportunity to take the best, throw away the bad, and begin anew every day. No matter how much we might regret some of the decisions made in our wilder days, we can't go back and make changes. But we can learn from them so we will not make the same mistakes today. roads to the future come through highways of the past, embrace the journey

Wise words, my friend. Lovely Haibun poetry. A FAV for my list. I beginning to really enjoy the Haibun form of poetry. Your words of wisdom were also words of encouragement to me. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

I appreciate your skillfully-written Haibun. The narrative was spot on and the Haiku itself was profound and brilliant. Glad to see you back on PS. Happy New Year, Sara

Had lots of family over the holidays. Had a most enjoyable time with the grandkiddies. Though it's hard to call twenty-year-olds kiddies.
