A Resolution For Life

I lost at least twelve pounds in this past season. Since turning sixty, I have made a goal to get back to my old self. The reason is that I hated that unholy roll around my middle! Now it’s mostly gone. However, I still want my old size ten. So I will keep the diet I’ve been on, but when I reach my goal, I won’t stop then! I’ve vowed to eat less often things that use so many additives. They are so bad. I’m older! Better foods I need to choose. Quite tasty ones these past few months I’ve had while losing weight. I know it can be done. But once a week I’ll cheat to keep it fun! Written Dec. 20, 2015 for Shadow Hamilton's the Resolutions Poetry Contest

Andrea, you beautiful inside and out, the weight thing is probably due to all the poems you write that are made up of sugary treats.

The holidays are dangerous. One vows to cut down and one ends up eating more fat than usual. Actually, I love ya just the way you are. daver

Your words took stage and treated the reader to a glimpse of your imagination as your magic pen scratched paper and brought forth such a witty poem edged with guilty thoughts. Very well written. Emile.

The cheating part is almost as important as the 'educating' yourself part, i.e., additives, etc. A fun dedication to a series resolution. A cheer for you and believe in you. Carry on ... CayCay

I HATE water, but I am doing as much as I can, and adding lemon and Stevia powder to it sometimes.

I commend you!! Good for you! I'm just SO not motivated. Boo HOOO....Hugs, woman. I'm wondering...are you going to be a Premium contest sponsor. You should be! What's all this hullabaloo about the contests, eh? I mean...I think sponsors should do what they want. They ARE paying members...sheesshhhh...I mean, I think the no names and the less placements...two entries max for each place is a good idea, but....I don't think they should be enforced. I post that on a blog that went...missing!

I'd check your birth certificate if I were you, young lady, coz you don't bloody well look sixty to me.... All these resolutions seem to be fine, especially finished with a glass of white wine. Viv x
