My New Year's Resolution

My New Year's resolution
For twenty twenty-four
Is the same old resolution
That I made ten times before

I vowed to stop eating junk food
Like candy and all kinds of chips
So, that I could lose those handlebars
That have grown around my hips

I vowed to stop eating McDonalds...
And Wendy's and Burger king
And focused on eating better things
Like- Buffalo Wild Wings

I vowed to eat more fruits
Like- oranges, grapes, and cherries
So, I bought myself something good
A pack of Starburst's, flavored- Wild Berries

We ride into the new year with the best of intentions but our weakness for nice things gets the better of us every time lol. Tom

True- Maybe we should make a "Year's End Resolution" instead of a "New Year's" (lol). Thanks Tom...hope all is well. Charlie

Awwn, haha, I can really resonate with this poem, as Ink said! I think I've never made resolutions for new year, because I knew.. Well, their fate was going to be short lived lol.. Such a wonderful write this is, amazing! :)

I made so many resolutions that I couldn't keep, that my resolution should be to stop making resolutions (lol) Thanks for reading and commenting, Ink. :)
