Serious Resolution

Resolution this year…stop buying spree,
Infinite number …shoes, jewellery! 
Dior purses, handbags nice,
Chanel dresses, reduced price,
Family panicks at purchase they see! 

Clear the wardrobe, full of expensive clothes… 
Gucci, Klein, Kors - covering head to toes,
I must donate some good stuff,
Don't I have outfits enough!
For a lifetime of posh glamour I chose!

I don’t have all that stuff, and I am not a compulsive buyer, Andrea. I used to love shopping, not any more. You would be shocked to know I, and many of my friends, used to buy jewellery, when living in the Middle East. Writing this just for fun!

Awwn haha, this poem is quite resonating for me, dear poetess.. Although, I'm not a compulsive shopper but yes, I do like to buy elegant clothing and stuff that fascinates my heart..kinda weird, but I need to admit that I'm very fond of buying different types of stationary things, books etc. This limerick really made me smile as it's such a fun aura that you've created here with amazing wordplay and captivating flow! I really enjoyed reading this, keep writing and shining, sending you light :)

I am not that great in writing funny poems, but Limerick is my favourite form! Really appreciate your kindest comments, inspires me to write.
