Premium Member An Endless Dream Dance - Collab With Jo

You dance love, and you dance joy and you dance dreams."- Gene Kelly
I am lost in an endless dream
My love and I are together
Dancing hand in hand, we're a team
Like the zephyr and a feather
Swirling and swaying to the beat
We are caught up in love's sweet trance
To the music, tapping our feet
Adrift in our fantasy dance.

Embraced in splendour of the night
We vowed that we’d twirl evermore
Waltzing the dream till morning light
Upon earth’s grandiose dance floor
Moments too precious to forget
Memories stored safely in heart
To replay in our mind cassette
Forever my cherished sweetheart.

I do not want this dream to end
To wake up and find I’m alone
But dawn breaks in to apprehend
Into the real world, I’m thrown
I await night’s darkness to sleep
To dream of my love and our dance
I am lost in fantasy deep
Hope this will last longer perchance.

Bleak since you left my heart and dreams
In your arms it felt so real
Tears cascade down my face in streams
The heartache I cannot conceal
Come back to me prince entrancing
We’ll waltz to happiness again
Dreams are for love and romancing
To a melodious refrain.

Every moment is fleeting fast
The present will soon become past
God has gifted this time to man
To live and use for a short span

All our life we wasted our time
We did not know this in our prime
Time is priceless not like a dime
We now have lived a full lifetime

Our clock slowly ticking away
Minutes and seconds not to stay
What's done for God is eternal
Infinite gift in life's journal

Wasted time what will we all pay
What words are now needed to say
Tell God we are sorry and pray
I hope heaven is on our way

 Our clock slowly ticking away
Minutes and seconds not to stay
What's done for God is eternal
 Infinite gift in life's journal

Each page but a moment in time
As we draw nearer to sublime
for as the sea, time's waves are vast
quickly moving, eroding past

We can't save time, nor we it save
Our mighty ego we will waive
When our purpose we have fulfilled
Time will recede, at last be stilled.

Premium Member Many Times I'Ve Fallen: a Shared Write With Jo Daniel

Down lonesome roads of life I travel,
only resting when I grow weary.
I stumble on Memory Lanes of gravel,
when my mournful eyes grow teary.

I recall the many times I've fallen,
unable to stand up on my own.
Umpteen doubts that slowly crawl in
hinder the journey I've started alone.

It's then I see through tear-blinded eyes,
a shining Light, though somewhat bleary.
Growing brighter ev'n as I realise,
I'm walking again and no more dreary.

Grey storm clouds have all been lifted.
I see clearly, God has shown me The Way.
I've been blessed. With optimism I'm gifted.
On the Path of Righteousness, I'll not stray.

I have learned to be malleable and shrewd,
relying on prayer and what God will provide.
Life became felicitous with the right attitude.
Now, faith is my sole trustworthy guide.

It was gratifying to write with you, Jo. Thank you!

Velvet Kisses - a Collaboration With Mary Jo Hoose

Tenderly he lays her down on satin sheets and places a kiss upon her lips.
Whilst gently his hands glide slowly down tracing her shapely hips.

She smiles an angel’s smile as auburn hair cascades softly against his skin.
She looks up at him through brown eyes knowing sweet pleasures soon will begin.

Inhaling soft seduction from ruby lips with velvet kisses that taunt and tease.
Butterfly kisses trail over warm skin ever so slowly so passionately they please.

Her delicate ears warmed by his sultry breath then lips gift a gentle caress.
Her body shivers with delight as his tongue moves with exquisite finesse.

Caught in tight embrace his lips brush softy, against her blushing face.
Velvet kisses cover silken skin, his hands touch her breasts like lace.

Her brown eyes shed tears of ecstasy as rose petals are turned to stone.
Hands move gently with a lover’s touch, joined they enter loves unknown.

Written with my dear friend Mary Jo. May you beautiful words flow forever!

Khawab Dekhe the Jo

Khawab dekhe the jo ankhon me reh gaye shayad,
Ban ke armaan ansoun me beeh gaye shayad,

Sham dhundlaye kyun raaste gumnaam hoe,
Sath hamsafr the jo dhund me kho gaye shayad,

Ab kyun angna me sakheon ka hujoom nahe,
Mujh se anjaan zamanee bhi hogaye shayad,

Nanhi jhoole me samaye hazaroo gham kaise,
Afaatein dekh kar daman bhi barh gaye shayad,

Dil ke virania ab ghatne ko tayar kahan,
Andhere raat ke mujh me he bus gaye shayad,

Chowdwein raat hai phir bhi ye andhere kaise,
Jalte chiraagh hawaoon se bujh gaye shayad,

Mere taqdeer ke kitaab to khali he rahe,
Purr the oraaq jo ashkoon se mit gaye shayad,

Khawab dekhe the jo ankhon me reh gaye shayad,
Ban ke armaan ansoun me beeh gaye shayad,

Premium Member The Softness of a Country Rose For Mary Jo Hoose

A stranger lifted me up today
While I was lost in my own self-centered universe,
Silently crying about nobody else reading, commenting or caring
About anything I’ve said,
Considering myself poetically dead.

I’ve been more concerned with the encroaching materialistic
Responsibilities, requirements and concerns of living
Instead of turning my attentions outward towards others
And lifting myself out of this whirl pool of self-pity
Into the ocean of giving.

When to my wondrous delight dark turned to light
As out of seemingly nowhere a fellow poet spoke gently and composed:
“Your poetry is like the softness of a country rose.”
And while I know not where she lives and breathes
This furtherance of feeling was shared with me:
“I too am blue as sky is gray and nothing more will do today
Except ethereal connections are how we poets play.”

I was more than moved, to say the least
How this gypsy out of cyber space
Renewed my poetic vow:
To speak the truth simple, plain and clear
As I know how.
And how
My words and hers connected
Through the vacuum of space and time
Is a story for another day and rhyme.

Until then, I stand transformed
By those few words she engendered –
And would give anything to tell her
How sweet and kind her words were rendered.

A Handful of Stars: a Collaboration With Mary Jo

A handful of stars

As dusk arrives and the shadows grow
All is quiet as the stars begin to glow

A gentle breeze over the hollow begins to rise
And the grass sways under the clear skies

It dances to an ancient rhythmic beat
Calling forth a song solitary and sweet

A Cricket, its voice rises in the dark
The evenings answer to the mornings Lark

Into the dell floats a single wisp of light
A flame that dances through the dark night

Dancing through fields lil' auburn haired girl.
Frilly lil' dress and long beautiful hair in curl.

Collecting her fireflies in a mason jar to light the way.
An angel’s voice she sings a sweet song while at play.

She giggles and smiles with a soft southern country grace.
As she gazes in the jar and the glow lights up her lil' face.

Proudly she skips back with her prize to her family cabin of log.
As she's greeted by the wagging tail of her faithful old hound dog.

Your Heart Whispers - a Collaboration With Mary Jo Hoose

Tenderly your heart whispers ever so soft and low
Warm breaths caress my ear as your love you show

Kindred spirits speak loves divine words that play
As your heart whispers through each word you say

Oh, hold me close in loving arms, feel the warmth of my skin
Kiss me deeply passionately as our hearts whispers begin

Your hands caress my face tenderly, my lips part and I sigh
Our hearts whispers grow as my love for you I do descry

On silken sheets our bodies entwined two hearts beat as one
Lost in your brown eyes the web of our hearts whispers is spun

My hands move gently lower playing over your Ivory breasts
My kiss touches your ear our hearts whispers to love do attest

Soft sighs from lips parted, shared heart whispers heard in velvet of night
Whilst two lovers shadows dance on the wall bathed in pleasures delight

Holding tight and caressing with lips bringing sweet pleasures untold
On downy covers where two hearts whispers as one begin to unfold

My lips caress sweet roses as my fingers play lightly over your silken thigh
Auburn hair frames your angels face, our hearts whispers take wing and fly

Fingers feather light, move in rhythm to the beat of your needs and desire
Hearts whispers of passion and delight ignite your soul in raging fire

Heavenly scent fills the room as loves passions begin to be met.
Hearts whispers cry out as every desire filled on satin sheets wet

Two glistening bodies lay bare as souls become one in loves dance tonight
In perfect rhythm our hearts whispers shared in the shadows of candlelight

Lost in passion our bodies joined rising and falling in loves throws
Hearts whispers of pleasure unending as our lips join and time slows

Voices cry out in unison as hearts whispers the ecstasy of love sated
Laying together in gentle embrace our love is forever unabated

Go Jo, Our Neighborhood Nun

Sister Josephine, our neighborhood nun.

No longer fit for ministry;
although she’s quit the nunnery,
she sits at our day camp nursery.
Go Jo uses every amp of energy
so as to champion or otherwise dampen
the spirit of grit in our scamps.

Sister Josephine, power shavers couldn’t stun.

Noise is born in my son.
Enjoying his horn on the run
from morn till night with the sun,
Boy Roy is fun, delightfully won.
Toys are Sprite cans, squiggly egg whites,
old cobs of corn and badly worn kites.

Sister Josephine, our savior you’d want.

Nursing their aches and their sprains,
reversing the stakes in their games,
she takes on blessing their brains.
Interspersed with pain, her tests will train,
coerce and arrest their thoughts with some stress.
Her heart makes and breaks their quests.

Sister Josephine showers favors - on good done.

Mary Jo's from the country, a real backwoods lass
Chops wood like a lumberjack they're not in her class

Better run, don't stand there like a silly old ass

Kara Jo

Kara Jo

Kara Joy is what we named her
Not so very long ago,
But as long as I remember
I’ve called her Kara Jo

Now you could say the acorn
Didn’t fall far from the tree,
Cause what you get with Kara Jo
Is a pretty, female, “me”

We share a love for reading
And movies, good or bad,
And she can spin a story
Again, just like her dad

No, we’re not carbon copies
One look will tell you that,
Because she’s young and beautiful
I’m getting old and fat

She has her way of doing things
And doing things her way,
And if she thinks that way is right
She’s kind of hard to sway

Much like her aging father
It seems to be the case,
“If everyone were more like us
It would be a better place”

She’d follow me when she was small
Trailing close behind,
But one dark day, life got real hard,
And we lost so much time

We went from daily interaction
To every now and then,
And if I’ve known a greater pain
I couldn’t tell you when

Sometimes I’d text her in the night
To say she made me proud,
In those times of darkened silence
That were deafeningly loud

She got her scars and bruises
Most I knew not of,
But in my ignorance and absence
I did my best to show my love

We both walked down some rugged roads
That led us from the Lord,
But in the end she set the standard
For me to strive toward

She left her pain and turned to God
I stayed beneath its cloud,
Sometimes at night she’d send me texts
To say I made her proud

By faith she did amazing things
I remember to this day
She prayed for a stranger’s broken-down car
He got in and drove away

I’ve watched her take some hard life blows
And still do the best she can,
Unaware that she inspires me
To be a better man

I turned my blessings into curses
And struggled through each day,
She turned a “curse” into a blessing
And named her Rylie Jae

She’s watched me through my failures
And saw me when I’d fall,
And she always tried in her own way
To help me through it all

“Pure Delight” is what her name means
And it has proven so
But until the day I’m no longer here
I’ll call her Kara Jo

Joel Osteen - Jo

Joel Osteen,
A great man of valor and reputable author
Whom multitudes have seen,
Blessed of His unmerited favor as a pastor.

Joel Osteen,
He’s touching lives from continent to continent
Being a blessing to people of all ages, even the teen,
Indeed, making all and sundry feel content.

Joel Osteen,
God’s gift to the Body of Christ and humanity
His words come through him, like the triumphant entry of a king and queen,
It obvious he wants all to discover their salvaged destiny in line with eternity.

Joel Osteen,
With better-half, the anointed first lady Victoria
Of course, blessed with children of beauty and being ever-green,
Aside, their missions to many countries and maybe Syria.

Joel Osteen,
VIP of His marvelous light
With a bit of humor, not mean but keen,
As he often receive power and wisdom from God’s ultimate might.

An Endless Dream Dance: Collab With Jo

"You dance love, and you dance joy and you dance dreams." - Gene Kelly

I am lost in an endless dream
My love and I are together
Dancing hand in hand, we're a team
Like the zephyr and a feather
Swirling and swaying to the beat
We are caught up in love's sweet trance
To the music, tapping our feet
Adrift in our fantasy dance

I am drunk with his sweet perfume
As I lay my head on his chest
We glide and float across the room
My trembling heart against his, pressed.
All around us are empty seats
And memories of happy years
And all the while his firm heartbeats,
They sound like music to my ears.

I look to see my lover’s face
And his eyes seem to glow with fire
I hold him in a tight embrace
Like that a Muse gives to her lyre.
So on we dance and time stands still
We ignore each passing hour
We are imprisoned by the thrill
Being in each other’s power.

I do not want this dream to end
To wake up and find I’m alone
But dawn breaks in to apprehend
Into the real world, I’m thrown
I await night’s darkness to sleep
To dream of my love and our dance
I am lost in fantasy deep
Hope this will last longer perchance
