My sincere thanks to Teppo Gren for bridging the gap and taking time out of his hectic schedule to visit me on his recent visit to Australia from Europe.
Teppo was one of the very first to welcome me on my debut poem on Poetry Soup, and from thereon in continued to support me with his excellent comments and feedback.
I really appreciated your encouragement and taking the trouble to get in touch and visit us in Sydney. I look forward to meeting up again on your next trip.
Miles of endless sands and seas
In today’s times can be travelled with ease
Bridging the gap between family and friends
In a life composed of so many odds and ends
Extend the hand of friendship to proceed
Beautiful friendships are what we need
The Goddess Of Blessed Redemption
She gave me a foundation of love's pleasures
complete with wondrous bountiful measures
she a gentle goddess of golden hues,
swept this heart away, vanquished all its blues.
From a verdant forest spring she arrived
relieving me of life sadly contrived.
None other could love and give any more,
she a goddess sent from paradise shore.
When asked why she came to me to now bless
no words came, my sins too sad to confess.
Yet her Light and Grace healed this broken soul
for this world had taken its heavy toll.
Of Asclepius* blood, healing her art,
body, soul and mind, first target the heart,
faithful daughter, resplendent her warm glow
sent to heal and allow this soul to grow.
She freed my body from its scars and burns
from ghosts of past buried in hidden urns,
the mind confused by treachery and lies
and the soul ready to face its demise.
Her enchanted charm revived my delight
to view the world in a generous light,
for the mind to stand firm, no longer wilt,
with redemption free the burden of guilt.
Once a broken man, forsaken lost soul,
I now stand stoutly with a heart that’s whole.
With Apollo’s blood vibrant are my veins,
by lease of life, released from morbid chains.
Verve restored by Aceso’s healing might
with radiance to end my sorry plight.
Healed with love in atonement of past crimes
with kindness I share life’s eternal chimes.

Apollo was one of the most versatile of the Greek gods. His domains extended from poetry and music, to light and truth, and archery.
His mother was the Titan Leto, whose tryst with Zeus angered Hera. The Queen of the Gods tormented Leto, sending the monster Python to chase her across the whole world so she could find no safe space to bear her children. However, Leto found safe haven on the isle of Delos and gave birth to Artemis and then Apollo.

The Deepest Depths Of Epic Pain
The scars of life unveil the weight of lies,
lest it be the torment of moral sin,
wherein the guiltless suffer wounds and cries
of love’s deceit as heartless notions win.
The evil whims of wicked fancy shows
no mercy for those crossed by hands of fate
when magic dreams are cast by darkened clouds
which turns the morbid sorrow into hate.
In rage of fervor, passion's zeal is lost,
oft destroyed by life's dire tribulations,
as sunning rays vacates dawn's gleaming frost
human frailties blind truth's revelations.
Within hope destroyed and life's darkest stain
remains the deepest depths of epic pain.

For I Do Love You So
Like redemptive rain,
you came into my life washing away
an arid desert of lonely pain.
With heart and arms wide open,
you nurtured me with unconditional love,
creating an oasis of joy so sublime.
Your constant love, passion, and devotion
set my spirit free from the dark shadows
and gray clouds that use to haunt me.
Your enthralling essence, like a raging fire
continues to arouse and ignite my senses,
completely absorbing me…and I’m crazy about you!
Because of you, Beloved One,
my world is colored with beauty and sunshine,
and every season smiles like eternal spring time.
Like a Bird of Paradise, I blossom and bloom,
dancing on golden sunbeams, and floating
to the moon on one hundred rainbow balloons…

I feel quite bereft

His sonnets were a joy to read
He’s removed them as his blog decreed
I will miss Teppo’s style
And there is no denial
It’s a great loss to PS indeed

I’m left heartbroken, just sit and cry

I can't sleep at night as you’re not there

You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling
You left me like Alice, lost in Wonderland,
running in circles with my heart in my hand.
I thought our love was so beautiful and strong.
Tell me, please tell me, where did I go wrong?
Have I lost my luster, and I’m no longer thrilling;
or have you simply lost that loving feeling?
Wretchedly, I’ve watched you slowly slipping away;
with no pride left, I’m down on my knees to pray.
I’m begging, baby, sweet baby, please come back;
even though you left my heart mummified in black.
Ignoring my pleas, you walked out the door,
slashing my heart to pieces, hurting me to the core.
Yet, I can’t fathom why it’s you I still adore.
It’s killing me ‘cause my heart can’t stand the pain…
the kind that pierces like silver bullets of rain.
But only God knows why I still want you so badly;
my love, give me another chance and I’ll do anything gladly.
Yeah, you may have found someone new,
but every beat of my heart beats only for you…

(Chained Sonnet--100 words)
Within dreams sent into this world of shades
shades full of heartaches and long slashing blades
blades severing sleeping rest on soft nights
nights of diminished hope and sharpest pains.
Pains of death at this sad door now knocking
knocking that promise evil in the flesh
flesh burnt hot, flayed back exposing raw nerves
nerves once made of black iron and hard steel.
Steel born of ancient warrior's deepest pride
pride in truth, honoring family name
name reminding one of future promise
promise of blessings and rewarded fame.

Love pure, in serving only God above

When we relished vintage cherry wine until
The last pitch of a guitar man drifted along
harbour’s bay…and how our shared wishes
gushed around Trevi fountain, tossing coins,
rummaging new souvenirs that became
endless conversational pieces in our inner loft.
Yes, I held other thoughts about us, keeping
My voice low as angry words snuffed the
Fragrance of candlelight: but in a flash, time
Paused while you smiled to brush my hair amiably.
I loved you well, perhaps …maybe more,
Yet deep in my bones, leaving me alone kept
Rainy nights unbearable where we passed
Like abandoned ships at night… then what
About those evenings that won’t let me down?

Let’s breath in silence, love…
and take me to far away distant lands,
our souls, the Lord has given from above,
gently, my love, walk with me hand in hand.
May our stillness devour the days of calamity,
let’s breath in silence, love…
while the Lord gives us mercy in our humanity,
flying freely through the sky like a dove.
We vowed compassion when days are rough,
so let’s soothe together during turbulent hours,

Meandering in ocean breeze, love pondered romantic themes
Cherishing each other's company, early days saw happy dreams
Boasting vibrant sunsets we strolled, charming ardent evenings
Wallowing depth of loving embrace, longing to hold till eternity
Things soon changed, as cosmic paradise became a sullen sky
When bewildered stars saw you depart without a hint of sigh
Abandoning me on a lonesome path hurting my doting pride
Never uttering a word of regret, having left without a goodbye
Now you arrive, uninvited, reminiscing in days of fervid hues
As foolishly I discard my heart's protest, saying our love's true
