Oh land of the free
And home of the brave, where are you?
Where is the torch that hearkens
The tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to be free?
When did freedom of religion
Become acceptance of
Only one religion?
When did freedom of speech only exist
When the listener and speaker agreed?
Why are we intolerant of extremists abroad,
But blindly follow extremists we call left or right?
When did news become fake news when it
Stated things that the listener did not like?
When did peaceful protests get vilified
And intimidation get glorified?
When did public servants
Stop serving the public?
When will equal justice truly be equal
despite race, culture, religion, and gender?
Is America, the beautiful
Truly beautiful
When we close our minds
And close our hearts?
Can we be proud to be American
And hate anyone unlike ourselves?
We argue over building
Physical walls,
But ignore
The spiritual walls and
The emotional walls
That we build
To silences differences.
My country, tis of thee,
My sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I plead.
Love your neighbor as yourself,
Forgive others as you were forgiven,
Clothe yourself in compassion, kindness, and humility,
For that is what will make America
Great again.
We scowl at this great country we live in?
Such ingrates we can be…….almost a sin!
Never appreciating its grand freedoms?
Instead fake news paints unholy doldrums!
We never had cities, destroyed by war.
Instead, we just demand more and more.
Such ugly, scowling crowds on TV screens.
Not grateful at all, just unseemly mean!
The good, the giving, like first responders.
Replaced by crooks from countries far yonder!
Worse yet, by those born on our own shores.
Who want everything free~eternal more!
Perhaps, we can cease being wee, adult babies?
Get a job, get off-line, lazy-daisies!
***Note…There is a plethora of jobs in the USA.
But some have forgotten the dignity of a paycheck.
Of giving to others, which is a true joy. ***
*** Note… this does not apply to those who are
validly disabled or ill…..certainly!. I understand that.
Just to those out to “beat the system.”

Rancid lemon rope squeeze
around a rotten tomato neck tie,
crooked odor bow hanging out of place
Acid reflux raisin tax bleed;
dripping spoiled, milquetoast lies
out a sour-twisted, prune puckered face
Tart tongue
sulfur speak disorderly,
dirty saliva fingers in the propaganda pie
Such a bowel movement disgrace
Bottom rung
bung opening vault key
Onion groans ... chittering fermented cry
Boot-licking patent leather taste
Smells like government to me,
corrupt as can be
Dung pile of voter promises,
sits atop a pungent idol landfill heap,
swarming with stinking lip flies
Smells just like reeking government gluttony —
O beast behavior ...
swine odor, foul as can be
Swindle spit vapors perfidiously wafting,
kindle the vomit pit
Sewage waste material ash labors fanning,
can you stand the stench of it?
Smells like dead paper figurehead
government to me
Bait-and-switch fishy business ...
close your eyes,
what does your nose see?
Tainted meat polltry speech,
pluck the purse feathers
off the cable perched pigeon bodies
Smells like government
is about to make a putrid, baked-in story
Made up facts ... maggot video feed
Stale, bureaucratic policy hard rolls
warmed over twice
Buttered late with expired date lies
Served with a cloying cup
of steaming sound-byte coffee:
Substitute truth ... false sugary
Toilet swirl coffin cake,
gutter floss the oral cavity
Bad breath vows made,
garbage hope nobody needs
Government smells
like a morgue dog in heat
Very omit cadaver, obit disgusting
Smells like
a pot of burning bones
on a boil
Bottom lip scum
rising to the top
On a truthful breath: Let me tell you,
it stinks an awful lot
Smells like scurvy government to me,
corrupt as base bribery can be
The lobbyist rats are scarfing down
the moldy green government cheese,
so silver spoon tongue greedily
Nothing like some regurgitated split-pea pleas
to hit the decaying belly ballot gastric spot
Can you make a federal case
of this rank-and-foul flatulent republic rot?
If Death in time should somehow find
I'm running just a little late.
I just realized to my great surprise...
I have an expiration date.
I pace the floor with Death at my door
With no out that I can see.
But I've thought it through, I have things to do
Before I embrace immortality.
With one last breath, I entreat with Death
If I might linger just another day.
I have family and friends... to make amends
And a bookie yet to pay.
But Death will brook no tardiness
As they seem somewhat understaffed.
So I accept this judgement
Knowing well my Government
Will have one less soul to shaft.
The End
Take heed, poet friends, you too, may be taken from your house.
Your money, your children, your lives maybe by our current
government be sought.
Oh, those chilling words, “Your children are ours”
You must fight….your lives nor theirs, cannot be bought”
This is time to awake, fight back now, you are not the
Federal government’s mouse!
Control and fear, these are their narratives, carried by fake
news.
A new viral disease is always en route!
Vaccines administered by sources.
Commanded by elected, killer ,jackboots!
The American flag, unbelievably, gets little or
no respect.
We are being neutered, too and killing the unborn
is out right?
Of course, since so many lost their souls, they chant,
murder for those who cannot fight!
This poetess prays for us all, that none of our lives
be taken.
And that God sees that no country, under His care,
be ever forsaken.

Surprise!
Money is gone.
Bank account is empty.
I think it is a recession.
Eat less.

Lies fall heavy against deaf ears,
while muted smiles spread false cheer.
Open, blind eyes, look past all they know,
reality is bleached, white as snow.
Morales lay as broken mirrors,
shards pierce deeply, bleeding trust, fear.
Hands extended to take, not give.
Others pay for the life they live.
Vows of loyalty once taken,
God and Country, for greed forsaken.
Festering poison, can be cured,
when next we vote, we will be heard!

This Government is us.
The last time we were this divided civil war began.
Each party must make way for the other regardless of color,
Red, blue, black, brown, yellow or white.
The Demublicants and Repoblicrats thrive on our ignorance.
If they can't reverse their cranial rectal insertion, we can replace them
all.
Money feeds this monster; money buys friends where they count.
Money is not free speech; money buys favors, and not for us.
Our votes are not for sale; my vote is not for sale.
We're Americans, we own this Government, and this Government is us.
Let's take it back and make it work.
Vote.
millions arrived on
capitol hill protesting
goverment shutdown
I could hear in my head their thousand shrill cries
While their homes burn, their throats slit,
Unpleasant thoughts of the bloods of the innocent
Bring sadness and tears to my eyes!
What has happened to the human soul
That run through men of this beloved country;
It grieves my heart so much to think
Of these man's inhumanity to man!
From Northeast through North Central,
That once peaceful green Plateau
With it's beautiful weather and happy people
Each enjoying the air they breathe.
Their pain I cannot equate or measure
Nor can I fathom the devil that made
The marauder bands kill for pleasure;
To think that these disasters are man made!
If this deaths and shedding of innocent blood
Are nature's punishment as some believe,
For fostering 'One Nigeria' home and abroad,
Then we have plenty reasons to grieve!
Best it is then
To let each man to his tent,
Let them spread out their wings
Fly if they must, and feel the breezy air;
A house divided against itself never grows!
