Notes About The Poem

A Respectful Response to Gershon Wolf's "Give Peace A Chance"

* dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne

Day By Day DEI

                                  Day by day,
                                  DEI DEI
                                  All I hear is DEI
                                  Diversity be gone now
                                  Equity goodbye now
                                  Inclusion you disgust us
                                  No more DEI

Chorus: To see things less clearly
I ate a bat so nearly*

                                  Oh Oh
                                  DEI DEI
                                  Our melting pot's a far-left lie
                                  Get lost diverse opinions
                                  Jim Crow you're our guy
                                  Inclusion take a hike now
                                  No more DEI
                                  No more DEI
                                  Oh Oh

Joe—forbearance, knowledge and wisdom—A holy trinity—rare, but a truly honorable goal. All my best. Thx for your visit, Robert

This is pretty bold and packs a punch! I like how you use repetition and humor to get your point across. Definitely a piece that’ll make people stop and think—or react!

Thankx Rowena, stopping to think seems quite a novel idea these days. I can only hope my words have that effect. Can only hope__ My best, Robert

Well done for a white man, Robert! LOL. ... I'll state my opinion for the two cents it might be worth, given inflation and all: Diversity, all else being equal, or relatively so: I'm FINE with that. Good idea... Diversity for diversity's sake: Boo! Especially as it applies to doctors, airline pilots, engineers, combat soldiers, judges', etc.

If I'm well-done, I'm no longer a white man!

Ozzie Smith, nicknamed "The Wizard of Oz," is a former Major League Baseball shortstop renowned for his exceptional defensive skills and acrobatic plays. Cardinals and San Diego Padres!

Ozzy Osbourne my favorite Ozzy, after Ozzie Nelson. "The only celebrity I ever liked was Ozzie Nelson" paraphrasing Ozzy Osbourne, may he rest in peace. Thanks, Anaya!
