Best Cloud Nine Poems
The earth is sleeping under the blanket of fog,
daylight gently awakens her from her stupor,
misty mountains melt in the magical morning,
as each step surprises us to what lays ahead,
The clouds float by, spreading their chillness in the air,
wispy breeze blows past sprinkling wintry cheer around,
atmospheric brume brushes away all boredom,
hovering haze heightens our heady adventure,
The climb uphill is as fuzzy as it can be,
vapours blur our vision and view of the valley,
beauty of the place is hid behind cloud curtains
with the biting weather assaulting our senses,
Walking through the clouds in an ethereal feel,
the presence of God is tangible than ever,
words cannot describe the artistry of that place,
some things must be experienced to be fathomed.

My Cloud Nine by Didee ©
Eh, get off of my cloud you silly narrow minded fools
I never put out a ‘for rent sign’ and I make up the rules
My fluffy pure white cloud may leak if it becomes too reedy
Many free-loaders climbed today saying they are the needy
I was the original caretaker making this place float upright
It is my inspirational thoughts that bound and kept it tight
As a one-man sanctuary with a (all-time) lease signed My Cloud Nine
Circling here and there with no stops making for little lost time
I, I and I are just ‘we’ and carry on well with no house keeping
It is you, him, her, and other hitch-hikers causing this here meeting
Take all of you off and far beyond and be gone from this man’s space
And find another cloud to 'share' and feed upon from your own human race.
Hot jasmine tea
My grandmother liked to drink
Everyday at 10
While tending to ancient herbs and oriental spices
Before Day’s of our Lives
She never understood it but she liked it anyway
And after her afternoon nap
She always had an aroma like that unforgettable liquid
In the green bottle by her bed
While the rice cooks
Steaming white fluff
That chokes your throat when you swallow too fast
Floating along the rice there’s green things
I learned not to ask
You must clean your bowl
She said
Otherwise you’ll end up too skinny and get sick
When the sun hits your head
Eggrolls, plump and short
Loved to waddle around in fish sauce before it jumps into mouths
Just like the chickens with the head cut off that Bac Phoung
Plucked the feathers off accompanying that sticky sweet smell of death
Like sweet cake and dumplings
Stolen from the wrapper
Left on the table that grandpa forgot to put away
Cousins come and go
Hugs and kisses, fights and shows
From 36 of us
We hold games and play with the hammock
Disciplined with chopsticks
We knew better then play Street Fighter all day
Though it’s happened once or twice
New Years is the best however
A dollar from each aunt or uncle
Lasts only but a day
Until the icecream man comes and we spend
Each and every dime
On Bullets, Tweety Shaped Popsicles and Lucas
Ninja turtles and Daffy Duck with bubblegum eyes
One of our friends, becoming successful, was successful again.
He exclaimed to the World: “I am on CLOUD NINE, my friends!”
In fact: He said it again and again, as we helped celebrate, his win!
It was GREAT! Tho actually, hard work had changed, what had been.
But Dragon was to young to know that, or what it REALLY did mean.
That it was the result of very hard work, building upon so many things.
It had been built, from the steady bringing to life, a lifetime, of dreams.
Indeed, all Dragon heard, of all said, was what that cloud, could bring.
Yep! Only that wonderful and illustrious Cloud Nine, from over head.
Dragon wanted to find it TOOT SWEET! But the clouds had all fled!
What would he do? We told him to Google it with Grandpa Troll.
Instead he found Love Potion #9, but that is for another poetry stroll.
Dragon decided to go aloft fast, as clouds were forming, finally, at last!
Counting clouds he went into the air, but cloud #9 was over, the airport!
OH YES! And inside Cloud #9 he hit a plane. Yes, Dragon had made…
Himself into an interesting plane hood ornament! You might say.
PRICELESS! Dragon was now bugging up, the windshield of a plane!
And guess what? It was a sightseeing plane made, for all, to see Dragon!
Yes, a plane full of tourists filmed it all, including Dragons’ caboose!
Which wasn’t small and hanging past the windows with viewing for all.
The name on the plane was, surprisingly enough, “Cloud Nine Tours”.
I think THAT said it all! Yes, our Friend owned it! Now you understand.
He planned for all, to view and film Dragons blunders from, safely aloft.
I hear, together, they were able to make a disaster movie, par excellent!
WAY BETTER than all the Sharknados’, and it will be at theaters soon!
Oh! And don’t be surprised, when I say: It was again a great News Day.
Even this time, from high up in the skies, and we laughed, until we cried!
Even Dragon, who became a Hero, as he brought the plane safely down!
What! And if, you thought he could ONLY be, a crazy, young clown…
I’ll tell you: A Greater and more Interesting HERO, will never be found!

Where ever you are darling
love will always be smiling
sweetly living inside warm
Each heartbeat a mirror bell
ringing deep reflections draw
sparkling gold on your beauty
diamond gem treasuring
Walking the seven steps together
the way of truth and love our friendship
Destiny paints a path colored dream
holding under a rainbow promise
Magical strengths in our resistance
falling under enchanting magic
Spelling powerful feelings sing out
soft chanting echoes silver whisper
upon a cloud love you house the dream
wrote in heavenly syllable count
All P-Soupers are good friends of mine
A day without them is a day without sunshine
Maybe overstating it a bit
But our friendship won't quit
Until forever our hearts will be intertwined

When you touched me, sparks ignited love
holding hands, everything shone perfect
through your hair, golden shining halo
Appearing most beautiful angel
that ever held this vision, in front
of these eyes, melting snowflakes
Through windows, one gem whom shines
with a shimmering sweet hum
lighting the golden pathway
on shores together we babe
walked hand in hand as one
United our spirits sang
floated with the souls, danced a couple
Watching you care free so beautiful
waving your arms, sweet through these eyes crowned
Rising the soul in gentle heartbeats
Loving you in blue clouds, white fluffy
Lazily spent afternoons on the pea green sofa
Watching TV novella’s with Nana
Eating searing salsa with tamales
And homemade tortillas with mantiquilla
Dripping from the cylinder of cloud nine
Belly protruding from a too small shirt
The smell of Fantastica on a newly mopped floor
Tata sitting in the chair by the patio
The screen door crazily hinged
Sombrero tilted over his face
To hide his laughing eyes
Crinkled with age and delight
Too worn for wear despite
His young heart
Tias running about on Friday night
Eager to play
High heels clicking on the linoleum tiles
Long dark hair flowing from streamers of love
Trickling to curls on their way out
While the little ones sit
Admiring the beauty
Of the desire to be noticed
Perfume enticing the boys next door
I float up in the airway up high
It’s like a drug and I’m always high
I don’t want to come down can’t you see
I enjoy it too much I’m in ecstasy
Your love makes me fly and it suits me fine
I here with you but I’m always on cloud nine
I live in the atmosphere looking down on earth
Some people find it strange but to me its all the worth
I don’t need wings to move around
Just one kiss from you and it makes me bound
Your love makes me fly and it suits me fine
I here with you but I’m always on cloud nine
One hug from you sets me free
Beyond this world into far off galaxy
One word from you or even a verse
Will send me in orbit traveling the universe
Your love makes me fly and it suits me fine
I here with you but I’m always on cloud nine
My good poet friends are pals of mine
A day without them is a day without sunshine
May be overstating it a bit
But our friendship won't quit
Until forever our hearts are entwined
CRUISING ON CLOUD NINE
hills like green seas
skies lower clouds
like living rooms
furniture crowds
suffocating
simplicity
rooms accessories
with lifelike décor
pitiful candles
flying into nothing
small flames of delight
stay bright then flitter
dimmer into darkened
stop places of dread
no dreams…
is my life intriguing
perhaps appeasing
to your worsened
state of being
well…
I am on cloud 9
cruising…..
not caring
or
amusing
I hook myself
to only me
sticky candy
and
full treats

As I stood there looking to the sky,
I felt so small, the stars seemed bigger than I.
The expanse of darkness hiding the moon,
Clouds were sleeping as the darkness loomed.
I stood there and prayed to the Lord,
God please fix our broken world.
A tear rolled down and brushed my face,
It cried with me and then fell with grace.
I stumbled as I lost my words,
A bright star then shined on our world.
I smiled and felt much bigger,
God had something to do with that,
It's what I had figured.
Never again will my star dim from within,
I'll stay on the path, and walk with him.

Sane of a sound mind
Stay out mine
Just trying to reach cloud nine
Instead of always experiencing the down sides
Before it's chow time
This all goes without rhyme
Messes cleaned up with a rag
In my presence tails wag
I zig and I zag
Got caught up in another snag
Causing a brief lag
I'll lose a battle, but win the war no need to wave a flag
The same can be said for needing to brag
Or nag
Unlike some, I don't think I got it all in the bag
At this point
What is it, if you've got no voice
Make a choice
Staying adroit
Because most are out to exploit
Quick to rejoice
Give me a minute, I'll tell it clear and true
No matter if they don't want to hear you
It's not all that it appears to
Obstacles I steer and persevere through
By now, it's all in the rearview
Got me upset
For too long they've gone unchecked
While still looking suspect
Yet now the dots are starting to connect
No need to let it lead to some stress
After all only made from bones and of flesh
Done with ill will or in good faith
Drama near and far from wood crates
Too good to be true, at first it looks great
Secrets, eventually the dam could break
There's much I should paint
While I stood straight
In a corrupt and crooked place
Many act smug
Fast to judge
Trying to get you to budge
Saying you've caused another smudge
I don't give a fudge
Through all the sludge
I trudge
Occasionally in need of a nudge
Instead of keeping a grudge
Went through the flood
Underneath moon or sun
Experienced it all, like bad blood it's nothing new to come
Your Love flows through my body
With static delight
As you hold me in your tender arms
Under moonlight tonight
The passion in our eyes
Sparkling brighter than the stars
As we drift on beautiful love
Past jupitor and mars
I have heard
people speak
of it,
as if it were a
paradise-
or something,
as if they were
floating
and nothing-
really mattered,
a place with
no meaning
or existence
from reality-
only within
a thought,
it happens
not often-
and life
dares you
to stay on it,
it’s a place called
cloud nine.
