In the genial glassiness of the glazed conservatory
the jade in the green of the jasmine yellows;
geraniums, plumbago, bougainvillaea on the wall
let go on the hold of their precious flowers;
only this rose persists and stands tall.
Flowers fade, but love forever endures.
dew crafts crown on grass
rustling leaves fall as gold flakes
garden gleams cinder…
nature’s splendor charms me with
aureate autumn aura
If I wandered through the room
With lazy-lidded eyes
And a half-cocked smile, barely there
Would you see through my disguise?
My aura’s calm and steady
I’ve filled my head with songs
I’m channelling the tranquil spirit
Of someone who belongs
Relax my shoulders, slow down my pace
And say
less than
I could
I keep my speech cool and composed
Feigning ‘everything is good’
Fabricated serenity
Is wrapped all over me
(I’m wicked-nervous to the core)
I'm giving off ‘carefree’

Strangers are intimidated or drawn to
People stare longer than usual
Silence makes them nervous
The ability to shift energy in the whole room
They will always remember you
Like a stain in a good manner
Don't chase attention
Jealousy follows you
Even from strangers unknown
They copy your ideas and follow your life style
Maybe I’m a magnet to some
A man with a very few words
Isolated and alone
Just coffee and pomes
Don’t ask for much
Just a simple road
Don’t follow the world
Write your own journey

At trumpets blare bespoken fair

An instant adjusting lens and memory
arriving long before appointed time

waiting equals patience eating pies
The catching up began steady

Colonel loomed large with his lieutenant
though pen whispers its words,
even echoes perceive its poignant allure,
beyond the scratched surface, it breathes deep,
percolating the senses with its aura—
sniffed as the fragrance of rose.
in thought’s depths nib probes,
to uncover the truth hidden in words—
splashed on the parchment of beasts,
gleaming like stars through the night’s dark sky.
it lifts chaff from the winnowed grains,
to plant in great minds the beauty that grows,
and gleams in billowing beacons as hope despite gloom,
winning hearts, garnering accolades in droves.
still it purifies ponderings and erases errors—
not with force but with subtlety
of persuasion, illumination, and quiet candour—
to rejuvenate and kindle weary souls.
My name is “Israel” McCorkle, my name proves I am real,
due to its prefix, it’s not just a fix,
it’s a mental realization.
People always ask about,
and compliment my first name.
It has an aura,
It’s a powerful meaning.
Something that holds the strongest value
and is one of the most powerful parts of my identity.
And the word of the known name,
it goes back years and years
all the way to the Bible
and the Israel lights.
Not only does it have the wording of a country,
but it's a name most known in the biblical world.
It echoes through the ages,
back to ancient light,
From stories in the Bible
to the brave Israelites.
It sounds just like a nation,
with history so grand,
Yet also speaks of spirit —
a force that takes a stand.
I saw him as I entered the city gates—
a man clothed not in robes, but in a strong green light.
His presence bent the air.
Birds above broke into sudden song.
A cool wind swept the dust from the streets.
The city had known no rain for three years.
Yet when his foot touched the ground,
soft rain began to fall,
as though heaven had remembered us.
He walked the street in silence.
A golden ibis descended,
resting upon his shoulder in slow, deliberate motion.
The sick rose from their beds,
though he had not spoken their names.
Animals followed him in quiet procession.
Children ran to him,
crying “Green Heart! Green Heart!”
He raised his hand,
and they answered with laughter.
Behind him, flowers broke open.
Trees bore fruit out of season.
Strangers embraced like brothers.
Sisters sang again in the marketplace.
But who was he?
Some whispered, “A wanderer from the mountains.”
Others fell to their knees and said,
“It is God, walking among us.”
Well-moulded into handsomeness by God,
Behold in me a true and noble man.
None meets my aura without feeling awed;
Even my foes admire me as a fan.
Come close—meet a man with a tender heart,
My sweet smile enough to make your heart move.
I smell good, walk with grace, and dress with art;
I am gentle—peace-loving like a dove.
I'm good from my within to my without,
Proudly Black, my chin shines with a soft sheen.
I'm a kind man—no need for me to shout.
Glean it—my heart is loving, pure, and clean.
Two nights from now
for the 3,337th time
Israel will tell the story
of her redemption
from Egypt
from generations of enslavement there
On that night there will be
suspense, screams and tears
rejoicing and Hallelujahs
tears of fear and relief
cries of jubilation after all these years
Even before you ask it
the answer to your question --
An aura surrounds Passover night
an aura of anticipation
of expectation
that God Himself
in all His glory
will wreak havoc
and judgment
on Pharaoh and Egypt
On her no-gods
on ‘Ra,’ her ‘mighty Sun-god’
on the Lamb, the ‘King of her gods’
for He will do so by cover of Night
slaying their every first-born
after Israel slaughters the Lamb
April scent
Innocent luck
Heart and nature.
"The beauty of pristine nature is painted on the
charismatic canvas of joy" - Quote by poet.
The setting sun sets fire at the fringe of the serene sky,
makes surreal cosmic collage with vermillion ember bright.
Under its ruby radiance my satiated spirit soars up high,
perceives the mellow day drown in color cove out of sight,
the painting of Monet suffuses me with the aura of delight.
