Plus, minus, tot up,
add on, multiply, subtract,
division signs. equations,
in depth teachers show,
simpler routes to struggling class,
sweet words of praise raise levels
Tact is vital when,
one imparts rules and standards,
foster childhood thirst for sums,
and older students,
in their quest on advanced course,
maths is tricky? go figure!
A strict moral sermon seems fine
until humbug ruins the design
be saintly my boy
please don’t act so coy
you’ll thank me somewhere down the line!!!
You fall out of an old paperback,
of a sudden, a recollection
gazing back into my eyes.
An image of a past love,
a love not lost, but only misplaced,
flutters now
in faded Kodachrome.
I wonder if you hide
in any more
of my yet unread books,
or perhaps someone else
yet another, put aside memory,
of this brief affair
we all must live through.

Again, I wonder, if you ever
came across a misplaced picture
of a younger me?
A face in a book put aside decades ago -
a photo falling out of a travel guide perhaps,
an edition long out of print.
Was I Eric or Eddy?
Don’t push red roses aside
nor the violets-blue guide.
It’s childhood honey sweet.
It’s a record player on repeat.
It’s a treasure, and when found
a mother feels thus crowned.
The message on printed cards -
cute drawings with regards.
It is the simplest compliment -
in latter years, a sacred document.
It’s the breeziest way a child conveys
their love on special holidays.

short poem
roses are red voilets
are blue you care
about me and I care
about you. xxxx Looking
at the roses blum make
me smile.
I was walkin' with my brothers
Through that acrid condition smell
Just two clicks inside the delta
We were walkin' into Hell
Fightin' for the Crested Eagle
Dealt a deadly hand of five
Well we knew it was a-coming
But we couldn't Step Aside
Here we go Boys
Just a priest in Jesus service
With the Lords love did abide
Man, nor God could sink that ship boys
Bitter words and boastful pride
He stood shakin' in the darkness
Prayin' against the tide
And he never seen it comin'
But he couldn't Step Aside
Woooh Oh Woah Oooh oh
Yeah ahh yay Yeah Yeah
Followed by instrumental
That crown of thorns he's wearin'
Held the light from seepin' in
(High wail) . . . He was broken He was bleedin'
As He suffered for our sins
Please do not forsake me Father
Redemption tears were all he cried

They’ve banned the “step counters”
Outlawed the treadmill and stationary bike
Banned jogging (aka fast walking for the elderly)
Sports will be limited to “non-aerobic” activities
Tiddlywinks tournaments will be Government funded.
Scientific research and investigation
Funded by the “stay inside and die sooner” chapter
Of the “Governmental Gottcha Groups”
Has conjectural and anecdotal evidence
That the heavy breathing induced by exercise
Increases the carbon dioxide emissions
Of those engaged in anaerobic exercise.
Suggested alternate activities are:
-Daydreaming,
-Scheming (aka conspiring with imaginary friends)
-Meditation…without chanting
-Astral Traveling (with or without passport)
-Thinking, but only about the things presented in our booklet
-(also known as “Talking Points)
Or the “Rip Van Winkle” solution…
Go to sleep for twenty years
and hope it’s all over when you wake up.

3.To impede court order flouting the rules.

Far aside the snow mountains,
Amidst chilly white snow-flakes;
Staring at frozen fountains,
Stand melt, our hungry soldiers...
Daring to bear cruel cold
Midst high hills of Leh, Ladakh;
Holding their guns with soul bold,
Fearless, their foes to attack...
Oaths solemn sworn to safeguard,
The borders of their nation;
Shivering, trembling in cold,
Their life stands and oblation...
They break bold ice-slated rocks,
For drops of drinking water;
We put nation into docks
To save her hey get slaughtered...

Son Scott, is following in Daddy's footsteps
So proud of that boy of mine
Technology's gotten way ahead of me now
Back then, my designs made me shine
But Scottie has taken it to a whole new level
He's made it in today's techno art
This old guy couldn't even begin to compete
I'd be blown right off the charts
Kind of sad, but that's progress I guess
Make way for the new generation
Out with the old ways and in with the new
Time for the next innovation
Guess it was time, now in retirement
Would've continued on if I could
That day has arrived, I am yesterday's man
If I could do it all over, I would
A good reason to greet the sun each morning
Thoughts of an exciting new project
Forever challenging my artistic abilities
In my comfort zone creating new concepts
Sadly, the world is leaving me behind
Must step aside for the new generation
Was a total blast for almost fifty-five years
A time of such great inspiration
Revived an older one
Oh man! Just go out and see
Nature has created a picturesque symphony
Tree are birthing

fruits
flowers.
It is green and colourful
Breeze is blowing,
birds are mating,
sun is warm
welcoming
Just shut down your electronic devices
go out
enjoy
Nature is beautiful
Joyous
Flowers are dancing to the beat of wind
Birds are singing melodic music to woo their mates
Watch exclusively designed butterflies fluttering by
Observe how they drink nectar from flowers
Bumblebee is busy collecting honey.
In trees squirrels can be seen scampering
Watch out for nests,
Small fragile young ones
Featherless beauties
Mother feeds them with her beak
Everything is beautiful
Happy
Celebrating
Sun is pleasant,
Walks are exhilarating.
Watch the changing colours of sun and
Shimmering noon
Unobscured by clouds
Just be out
Don’t sit at home.
Nature is at its best for you to enjoy.
Collect as many wonderful memories as possible.
Life is short
Tomorrow uncertain!

This improvisation seems weird,
it's a continuous frustration
controlling your fickle decision;
every supplication goes unheard.
The attempt to put aside pity
clearly reveals the cruel side
you won't suppress with humility,
be human and show some dignity;
are you willing to lose everything
for a foolish feeling of pride?
are you so cold not to feel anything?
It's easier, to be honest
than hiding all the emotions
under a mask; who can see the imperfections,
who can guess how insincere one is...
if the trust in oneself is not easy to predict?
The attempt to put aside pity denies the stark reality
of the crushed dreams that have stopped to delighted us,
can we save them before they become another memory?
All we have to do is recreate that magic so loved by us!
If this quick hug, seeking sympathy, only lasted
longer than a glance it would erase all guilt,
but a silent outcry is never heard aloud
vanishing with all the hope entrusted to it!
Simply set aside
Your gleaming desire
Your slippery grip
Of fools gold knowledge.
Gifting dollars to
Nonsense
Biting satire aloft
In the rafters,
Reason willing,
God in a shilling,
Blow wish bubbles
Forward, save sanity,
Swimming in a pool of PTSD.
Set aside, simply,
Ontological lip service,
And line up,
Steel reflecting and narrow
To ingest living love's liquidity.
A young lad who bullied his sisters
Woke up to his tool bearing blisters
According to Mary
It was a Tooth Fairy
Who suffered tongue-twisters from misters
