The Mirror Ascends

forest limbs swing wide
tails vanish betwixt the leaves
hands learn to hold stones
muscle and thought entwining-
shaping the first fragile edge

soul entered the fray
moulding spiritual form
eyes afire with zeal-
humanoid stalks the garden
a king calling the beasts names

flint sparks in cold caves
shadows dance on raw stone walls
stories find their voice-
the stone mason stands upright
stone flint and fire seize

Sun Ascends

Sun ascends into breezy
Pillows of feathery love.

The earth breathes deeply
While I float effortlessly 
Though sleepiness
And blessings bestowed 
By the loving intent 
Of my soul.

Summer is eternal
If you allow her to be.

Winter is real
Only if you leave 
The door open
To emptiness 
And confusion.

It was never the sun
Who ascended 
But the ascension 
Of my soul

Beyond limited

NEW WAVE ASCENDS

 NEW WAVE ASCENDS

Workers waul at leaders sold
who rush to airports cold 
in hospitals wan women wallow 
tattered children nothing to swallow 
ideals trickling through untilled soil

will dreams and intentions expire
before patient arthritic grandmothers tire 
softly rain filters Earth’s corners
nourishing hills, herbs and mourners 
life follows death singing afresh

surely New Wave ascends roaring 
freedom showers

Before the moon ascends

The wind whispered in my ears,
the secret that you told.
Before the moon ascends,
I shall come to your side.
Let us sit by the seashore,
beneath a canopy of stars,
bathed in moonlight’s glow,
speaking endlessly,
as countless as the grains of sand,
dancing with the waves,
until the sun rises in the east,
painting the sky
in hues of reddish orange.

Grief ascends with the rising moon
   'neath frosted Winter skies
A lone wolf howls, wailing a rune
   desperate for replies
Her mate has died,  she must lament
beside him 'til last breath was spent
   Parted in death
      Parted in death
His body torn,  tattered and

Kundalini Ascends

Kundalini ascends,
signalling soul’s intent
to raise it’s consciousness,
by granting love consent,
ensconced in blissfulness.

Kundalini ascends,
as vibrant liquid light,
transmuting nodes within,
in a dance of delight,
with bliss tingling our skin.

Kundalini ascends,
magnetising our form,
centring pristine presence,
whilst drenched by bliss throbs warm,
thus peaking soul’s vibrance.

Kundalini ascends,
aligning our five sheaths,
soul imbibing wisdom,
as blessings God bequeaths,
for within’s His kingdom.

Mind Ascends

Reborn here now without baggage, 
my soul revels in present peace;
Mind ascends through steps to salvage
Cares descend and put mind at ease. 

A stillness in my mind I feel, 
reborn here now without baggage;
As I pray to my Lord with zeal, 
From inner light shines my image. 

'Act with kindness' is the message:
Mindful of all

Dawn Ascends

Dawn ascends to brighten the day
Birds trill with songs of glee
Morning's breeze makes the willows sway
I rejoice with esprit

As Earth keeps on turning
I will be discerning
The sun will be burning

As night wends

The sun is rising 
right above the horizon 
where sea meets the sky.

- When Dusk Ascends -

day releases dusk-
streaming stars settle in sonorous susurration;

The deep tangerine glow of the harvest moon

Luna Ascends

Sol bleeds at the edge of ebony skies,
and inks clouds scarlet, as He slowly dies;
silhouettes and shadows in veiled disguise.

As Luna ascends in regal splendor,
a lone wolf's wails are mournfully tender;
upturned jaws, implying its surrender.

Howling summons the others of its clan,
a ritual before the time of man;
that no one knows how or why it began.
