It’s love that wipes away my tears
Shadow of the rain shower clears
And I’m warmed by the gentle night
He bids my soul peace to delight
It’s faith that reminds of His grace
With Him, there’s nothing I can’t face
Surprised by One who can unite
He bids my soul peace to delight
It’s hope that sings a song of life
And I know One who heals all strife
With praise, our better angels fight
He bids my soul peace to delight
The greatest gift is His Spirit
And there’s no reason to fear it
It is a love that is so right
He bids my soul peace to delight
Hope, faith and love remind my soul
It is Jesus who makes me whole
And I believe with all my might
He bids my soul peace to delight
Only God and prayer can heal it:
The dreadful wound your loss has made.
Find thankfulness and never quit;
Remember to give thanks today.
When melancholy cords arise
Cast dissonance far, far away
Let gratefulness revive your eyes;
Remember to give thanks today.
If you still have someone to love
And a place where a bed is made
You have more than enough thereof;
Remember to give thanks today.
If you have friends that never left
Someone to help you on your way
Thank God of these you’re not bereft
Remember to give thanks today.
If pain can cease for a moment
Use the time to earnestly pray
Too many tears spent in lament
Remember to give thanks today.
Preferential treatment does hurt.
Jealousy swept under bedskirt.
She pinches the harp in background.
Those black and blues strings, plucked, resound.
The eldest withdraws with lone words,
Tends to the notion of firebirds.
Flames of wind, harassing, unbound.
Those black and blues strings, plucked, resound.
Not love, nonetheless - of first things.
Very little under her wings.
Harping and lost, in tears she drowned.
Those black and blues strings, plucked, resound.
Carried on military style,
Untucked blouse, fell in love meanwhile.
Innocence of strumming, compound.
Those black and blues strings, plucked, resound.
Existence - inky endeavor;
Playing this life of whenever.
An angel’s heartbreak is profound.
Those black and blues strings, plucked, resound.
we are living light caged in form
in heart God dwells; feel His touch warm
let not fears and desires nonplus
nothing’s real, not even us
myriad illusions amuse
yet be what may, they can’t confuse
life is is dream, why for then fuss
nothing’s real, not even us
dwell in silence, rest lower mind
leave imagined knowing behind
what do we as ghost forms discuss
nothing’s real, not even us
poised as awareness self-aware
one with oneness, with love we pair
this dream ends when we board God’s bus
nothing’s real, not even us
To the veteran; daughter, son
We honor you for all you’ve done.
Throughout the land, our flags we raise;
A grateful nation gives you praise.
From general to private class,
Unsung heroes and honored brass
Receive our broken, heart-felt gaze.
A grateful nation gives you praise.
No benefit nor medal pin
Begins to fill the debt within
Each fallen tear reflects a glaze
A grateful nation gives you praise.
Widows know and children feel it:
Freedom’s price, they so reveal it!
Ceremonies, wreaths they have laid
A grateful nation gives you praise.
No greater love, than sacrifice
All veterans have paid a price
May thankful prayers be upraised
A grateful nation gives you praise.
breath by breath as we are reborn
we sense soul’s vibrance stretch and yawn
there is nothing we need to do
watching the pulse of bliss renew
kundalini does so endow
grace divine in staid stillness slow
each hue’s new, like the morning dew
watching the pulse of bliss renew
space flickers and time holds its breath
when we imbibe love’s healing meth
with each breath we begin anew
watching the pulse of bliss renew
in the vast void, we are self-taught
becoming the flame which we sought
no life puzzles remain to sew
watching the pulse of bliss renew
The treasurer they called Judas,
In his folly and imprudence,
Sold his Master for silver’s stock;
The shepherd who betrayed the flock.
The fisherman they called Peter,
Tasked to build the Church and lead her,
To be her foundational rock;
The shepherd who cares for the flock.
The scholar widely known as Saul
Adopted the new name of Paul;
He saw the light on one long walk,
Repentant hunter of the flock.

They search, phones held tightly, spellbound
moments parting in the background
phone screens, maybe the newest pill
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They’re seeking this life’s cutting-edge
is it their hearts and souls they’ll pledge?
from where they stand, life’s all downhill
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They know that life moves by, passing
finger on the screen, amassing
dreams lost, is life at a standstill?
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They search, phones held tightly, spellbound
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
In morning I hear the Blue Jay speak
The rising sun leaves a bright streak
for miles through the window, I pray
Beauty and peace begin the day
This creation so much to see,
amazes me repeatedly
Gratitude fills my home, I stay
Beauty and peace begin the day
Birds come for their breakfast outside
A feeder, word spreads far and wide
I feel that I can work and play
Beauty and peace begin the day
Nature's company surrounds me,
bringing comfort where I am free
I breathe, I smile, I know the way
Beauty and peace begin the day

dancing in the wind, a stillness
rushing thoughts, tis’ mental illness?
breaking through the peace in soft light
gusts pause over the ghostly night
songs awash with flowing feelings
the hand of God, posing healings
amazing love makes it alright
gusts pause over the ghostly night
trembling gusts of wonder and hope
rustling over hearts so they’ll cope
this music will surely excite
gusts pause over the ghostly night
nature’s soundless beauty unfolds
gentle flowers in shyest golds
joyful splashes as the stars write
gusts pause over the ghostly night
only our Creator can know
the wonders continue to glow
poetry heals the heart’s lone fight
gusts pause over the ghostly night
remember the stars fading sigh
only God knows the when and why
forests ache, the trees such a sight!
gusts pause over the ghostly night
my soul trembles with the suspense
it seems to have such a sixth sense
sometimes falling down, but not quite
gusts pause over the ghostly night
dancing in the wind, a stillness
rushing thoughts, tis’ mental illness?
breaking through the peace in soft light
gusts pause over the ghostly night
Double date; in a car’s back seat
could he hear my heart wildly beat?
Love songs played on the radio.
Oh, afterglow, sweet afterglow.
That long first kiss had been so great
I couldn’t wait for our next date.
I daydreamed of how things might go.
Oh, afterglow, sweet afterglow.
Once more he held me in his arms.
“Son of a Preacher Man” had charms,
like in that old song I loved so.
Oh, afterglow, sweet afterglow.
Of course he could not take things far
with me, the teen girl in that car.
Full bliss with him I’d never know.
Oh, afterglow, sweet afterglow.
He was a guy with need for more.
I became a girl to ignore.
Kisses had sufficed for me though.
Oh, afterglow, sweet afterglow.
Born with a bend to stray away
Deliverance, Lord I need it!
My hope’s in God for each new day
Unfailing love, Lord I see it!
My strength alone, insufficient!
Lord, for help, today I plead it!
Knowing you’re my “all sufficient”
Unfailing love, Lord I see it!
Falling often, so prone to sin
You call to me, “Just release it!”
Repentance brings new peace within
Unfailing love, Lord I see it!
New mercies, every morning come
Lovingkindness, you reveal it!
As faithful as the rising sun
Unfailing love, Lord I see it!
My Lord, your love; it cannot fail!
Boundless grace, I can’t conceive it!
The gift of gifts to us prevails
Unfailing love, Lord I see it!
Unsettled by rustling, wind sings
etched in the heart are gentle wings
breaking through the shadows, a light
God’s amazing peace and insight
Fragments of hope fall on the soul
those who know He has full control
music to hearts who are contrite
God’s amazing peace and insight
Wisdom comes from humble prayers
precious love from the One who cares
beyond our dreams, with love so bright
God’s amazing peace and insight
Satisfied now, since I believe
He stirs my faith and I receive
Love so great it’s sure to excite
God’s amazing peace and insight
We fall not prey to ego’s ploy,
so we dwell in peace, full of joy.
Notice there’s no energy leak,
when dancing with love cheek to cheek.
The world external, we’ve let go,
having relinquished our ego,
yet we’re strong, not feeble and weak,
when dancing with love cheek to cheek.
Life is but a dream, played in jest,
wherein we’re ensconced in heart’s nest.
There’s no desire now left to seek,
when dancing with love cheek to cheek.
Love and light within heart abounds,
music of spheres in us resounds;
in streams of bliss we dip our beak,
when dancing with love cheek to cheek.
At dawn, the world began to wake,
Rushed below as the bustle breaks,
A body smiled, drained of its breath,
Hm, It was me - free but dead!
Shocked in silence, they stood in blame—
"How dare she die? What a big shame!"
"So Gross, she died yet wears a smile!"
Hm, It was me - free but dead!
Through heaven's lens - my soul does ache,
Will they now love and feel my pain?
Will they regret, or still neglect?
Hm, It was me - free but dead!
Cursed, they scream - "What price we paid?"
I craved their touch on flesh that stayed,
To hear them weep for sins instead.
Hm, It was me - free but dead!
I dwell - Why didn't they chose care?
No worries—virgin soul 'declared'.
Will they now let it play and sway?
Hm, It was me - free but dead!
