Stars

Hello, brothar and sistar,

I see how brightly you shine. You hang high and illuminate the darkness, time after time.

From quasars of 100,000 moons,
You light up and shine like Ogun and Oshun.

Radiating lights of strength and love,
Pulsating through the firmament, both low and above

Though the veils of animosity and the curtains of vitriol may come to conceal your light, you must and will shine. Your luminescence will carry the fight.

So, brothar and sistar, remember who you are and whose you are. Keep spinning and shining, you supernova pulsar.

Ralph - You Are Behind Schedule

Before the marathon began,
I walked First Avenue,
Aware 100,000 feet
Would soon come pounding through.

The do-not-cross tape waited
And the police were getting set
To control the hordes of cheering fans
Who hadn’t gathered yet.

Since some apartments face the street,
Their balconies supply
A place for friends to stand and shout
As runners hurry by.

From one such place, I saw a sign
To jokingly remind
A guy named Ralph, despite his plans,
He’s lumbering behind.

I wish I could have witnessed Ralph
As, passing, he took note,
Of the presence of his buddies
And the message that they wrote.

(The title is what the sign actually said.)

Love Sick Heavenly Demon

100,000 years of nirvana
Experiencing the pain and sorrow in the land of mortals
Breaking the divine law.
Embracing the Empyrian heart
Why care so much on what is divine or mortal?
Dancing through the dreaming world of flowers

If the song is not to taste
and effaced the joy of the moonlit palace.
Simply change the sound of the magick

Anger and grief are hard to dissipate
Turning to the rivers, mountains and lakes
Smiling in the love sick trials of taiyin
How to find the eternal heart of Compassion?

A demon or an immortal?
how often can they be consumed
in the trials of the mortal heart song

Grieving with the sky
The Flowers bloom on the moonlit lake
And all around blood drips down
Where can we meet again?
This broken heart the heavens are jealous of.

Simhaladvipa

"Simhaladvipa or simply Simhala is the name of an island (dvipa) according to the Kathasaritsagara, chapter 56. Accordingly, “... there he [Candrasvamin] heard that the merchant Kanakavarman had gone from that island to an island named Karpura. In the same way he visited in turn the islands of Karpura, Suvarna and Simhala with merchants, hut he did not find the merchant whom he was in search of”.

The Kathasaritsagara (‘ocean of streams of story’), mentioning Simhaladvipa, is a famous Sanskrit epic story revolving around prince Naravahanadatta and his quest to become the emperor of the vidyadharas (celestial beings). The work is said to have been an adaptation of Gunadhya’s Brhatkatha consisting of 100,000 verses, which in turn is part of a larger work containing 700,000 verses."

Seren and Deep.

Simhaladvipa
Lamka Sri island so deep
the Seren and dip
the green mountain and,
deep-rooted, Adam and Eve
bright red ruby sparks

and furthermore, i've made a catalogue of
100000 precious
objects; in my home
one of them is
the
toaster
and there is only
one spreading knife in the house
but we laugh at the
past, not realising we will be laughed at,
like Sylvester Stallone
asking
after toilet paper
in Demolition Man
it was an
awkward moment
but so is a car doing a u-turn
in front of you as you
sit tutting and sighing
then the
kids in the back sigh
as the Mary Rose sank in
full view of
the king
he must have tutted and sighed as well

I have become a fat chair potato
It would be nice to be a tomato
Maybe a chili pepper hot
Or habanero wrought
Anything else to end this trapped woe

Tears of the Past

A hundred sun's
A thousand tears
10 000 of hope
100,000 loves have passed me by

A hundred times I've sang a song
Of sadness, sorrow and regret
For the loves of mine
I've never kept

For a thousand miles
And across the seas of time
I've long since traveled to the end of life
And rhyme

So when will i be free
To have my love i dream
When will my tears stop their falling.

I've sang the song of chaos long
And hoped that one day that may change
But my lot in life has never been my choice

I've long since been in this world
Where all things don't make sense
The strongest house is made up strong
But the slightest breeze it falls

A house is only strong
When we work as one
The demons voice has oft seduced
My wayward heart with dreams of fantasy

Where is my path gone?
Where will I end up
My path it branches in many ways
Will I ever find my place?
Will I ever be free to love
with one who loves divine.

Maturity That Matters

Who was such an arrogant p***k,
Turned out a sport, and double quick,
What was vulgarity
Turned into charity,
What was a faux pa, what a trick!

Happenings |20.12.2022| Limerick

Poet’s note: New Zealand PM Jacinda Arden was caught on a hot microphone using a vulgarity. Yet, what could have taken an ugly turn, turned a face-saver. She and her target agreed to sign an official transcript and auctioned it to fetch 100,000 NZ dollars. Well, one who was a p***k sort, turned out to be a good sport! Some may focus on vulgarity, some on charity, what about the politicians’ maturity?

Premium MemberStop Putin Now - Do Not Wait

Dear President Biden,
     STOP RUSSIA AND PUTIN NOW!
     DO NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW

2,000+ innocent civilians slaughtered in Ukraine in the first 6 days of war
Over 100,000 Ukranian refugees 'safe' in Poland or Romania.
(UN states over 1,000,000 Ukranian refugees already created.)

ONLY MILITARY DEFEAT AND/OR DEATH WILL STOP PUTIN
SANCTIONS WILL NEVER DETER HIM - NEVER

YOU, MR. PRESIDENT, CAN SAVE TENS OF THOUSANDS, IF NOT MILLIONS
OF LIVES! --or the blood of those killed will be upon your hands,
for failing to act when you still had the chance.

TODAY IT'S UKRAINE. TOMMOROW, MOLDAVA. (Next up).

THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, IT'S THE UK AND THE USA.

ACT NOW, MR. BIDEN. DO NOT WAIT. DEFEAT RUSSIA AND PUTIN.

          Thank you,
          Gershon Wolf

Premium MemberTwin Elements

Inner space, outer space, yin and yang together
Sea is its own cosmos linked to the vast invisible ocean
around us. The hydrogen in its water molecules was made
in the Big Bang, oxygen in them was made in a star
a marriage made in heaven
The Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean (deepest location on Earth)
The Summit of Chimborazo, (farthest from the Earth's center)
There is a strong connection between ocean and space. Both in terms of technology and spirit discovery. At 100,000 feet, Voyagers will see the black of space, the atmosphere below, and the curvature of the earth
Deep space and deep ocean linked like bookends. With Technology we
can now breathe both water and vacuum and observe details that were
previously hidden from our view ;
It is our good fortune to be born in an age of open doors to the sea
and to spatial hemispheres
So nice to be able to re- enter into the elements in which we were born
both water and space

Find That Peace of Mind

Written By: D. Collins 5/27/20

We have over 100,000 deaths, along with major stress.
So many people without a job, not knowing it would hit so hard.
Find that peace of mind, wherever it might be.
Learn to live your life, with far, less company.

This tragic state we're in, only took four months.
I feel, we never will, return to the life we want.
We will always be vigilant, to what Corona can do.
The first task is to wear a mask, I would advise you.

It has been devastating, and created problems in the home.
Long term versions of being in love, now was suddenly gone.
We must find that peace of mind to repair what has been wrecked.
If it keeps eluding us, there will certainly be nothing left.

100,000 and Counting

American healthcare is a joke
Government play on too many folk
Those who can't pay
Die everyday
Whilst Trump switches from Lysol to Coke

Nurses' Day

Today’s the date to thank, in verse,
Each health care hero, i.e. nurse.
Officially, it’s Nurses’ Day;
Let’s send some gratitude their way.

Of course, each night we clap and cheer
For those who’ve chosen this career
But more than that, much more’s their due,
So stepping to the plate’s JetBlue.

100,000 pairs of flights
The airline’s offered, which invites
All health care workers who apply
To have the chance, for free, to fly.

Now that’s a wonderful reward
For something many can’t afford
And whether travel’s north or south ‘tis
Great JetBlue put its money where its mouth is.

Premium MemberAny Bit of Beauty

As the news rolls in like a tidal wave,
We try to keep our head above water now
Over 100,000 in U.S. predicted to die, as we try to save
We move like swimming, to stay positive somehow
In water so cold, as winter here hasn't passed
But, we dream of spring flowers on the way
We pray this nightmare will not last
We must stay strong, unite and find our way
I think about years ago when I could barely survive
I think about many changes I have endured
Somehow, given the strength to stay alive...
As I sit here waiting for all to be cured
I am grateful for everything around me
My home is not like a cage, because I love it
I will hold onto hope and continue to see
Any bit of beauty, like a new candle to be lit
