You Can Never Go Back

You can never go back  That's what they say  But, you never listen  And you go anyway  When I pulled into town  It was almost the same  Everything looks smaller  But, its you that has changed  The stores are all there  But, they have different names  And it's still on the sidewalk  Where I carved my name  I went by the old house It now was a different color All the good times we had I thought of my mother And that's what I miss It's not about the place It's about all the love Of which now there's no trace So, I got in my car  There was nothing left to see  I left that small town forever But, I kept the memories

I love a little nostalgia, but it's true. When you go back the reality is in danger of destroying the memories. People are what makes a place special, and when they are gone it is just a poor imitation. (About the picture. Here's the story.... ;) )

Correct on all accounts, my sweet. I know you have been certified by Mensa to be a Genius, but you also have what really counts........common sense. ( About the picture, You're Right!!! )
